    Thanks for the tips. I removed 100% of 1 year old red candle wax from my beige carpet. It took 12 minutes! The stain was the size of a round coffee mug. I used a iron set at the maximum temperature and a damp white cloth. Repeated the step’s several times and the wax is completely gone and my carpet looks new again!
    I think the trick to remove 100% of the wax would be to use a hot iron at its highest setting and a damp white cloth.

    Thanks for the tip to turn off the steam setting and for clarity on how long this took. I have a showing. Today

    I used print paper and it took a few sheets about 7.. but it worked well enough you cant see the spot where the wax dropped and splashed

    Just did this myself. It picked up 99.32% of the wax. Just got a light oily feeling. I did it it with a wet towel at the end to steam up more.

    I wonder if freezing the wax would work. I’m thinking the cans of air that you use to clean your computer, keyboard, etc. 🤔

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  2 месяца назад +1

      Freezing will only work on very small wax stains, if it is larger than the heat works better.

    Spray affected area with water. Helps wax rise out of the effected area

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  9 месяцев назад

      That is okay with some waxes... other times the water can actually pull the dye out of the wax and allow it to spread.

    Omg. I would land on this video AFTER finding that rubbing alcohol will help remove the wax. Thar being said I'm super paranoid to try the iron method in fear of causing an explosion/dangerous reaction of some sort. Any tips on removal that won't cause harm now that it's drenched in alcohol?

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  2 года назад +2

      Luckily alcohol evaporates quickly! So just give it a day and then try ironing the next day. Also, your iron temperature will be on low which is below the combustion temperature of alcohol.

    How to remove candle wax from wood floor

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  Год назад +1

      That is a good suggestion!! If you have a sealed wood floor I would suggest using ice to freeze the wax and scrap it off with a plastic scraper.

    • @RaptorRenovation

      Not if you keep a clean piece of paper or cloth under it

    • @martikovacsmiti
      @martikovacsmiti 2 года назад

      @@RaptorRenovation actually had baking paper. 😳 the area is so hard now and I tried everything I could. I've seen it yesterday that vinegar and salt could help. And I'll try my carpet cleaner machine as well :(

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  2 года назад +2

      Baking paper? Like parchment paper?
      That is a non stick paper and would not work. So it just melted the wax and pushed it further into the carpet. Like in the video you need to use paper towels or packing paper... they can absorb the melted wax.

    • @martikovacsmiti
      @martikovacsmiti 2 года назад

      Yeah I figured. I made it worse lol. I don't think I can fix it anymore can I? I want think, clear evidence is my carpet!

    • @RaptorRenovation
      @RaptorRenovation  2 года назад +1

      You can try the iron trick again but use paper towels or packing paper and see if it is able to work. It won't make it any worse.
