Did you sneak a "Firefly" reference in there? I agree with a number of your comments. Stas was a total buzzkill, here. I can imagine the sound person fumbling around to kill his mic'. He got a lot of hate, at first. In later episodes, the viewers began to realize that he was essential to the success of the show. The song does end much too soon. I am at such a high emotional point, then it suddenly stops. I really need a little bit more help. I need some softer ending, just to help me to calm down.

Из всех песен Дианы, которые я нашел на RUclips, эта понравилась мне больше всего. Когда я услышал это впервые, у меня по всему телу побежали мурашки, и я не мог видеть экран из-за слез. Я был как в экстазе, как загипнотизированный.
Странно, что большинство ютуберов, откликнувшихся на эту песню, вообще не понимают ее смысла (если они вообще обращали внимание на субтитры). Конечно, если они чувствительны, они также эмоциональны, потому что музыка говорит сама за себя, а красота не знает границ, этнической принадлежности, расы или национальности. Но для меня песня без понимания слов была бы только половиной песни. Но я чех и чешский язык тоже славянский, поэтому многие русские слова похожи - так что да, я понял текст на 100%, но главное, смысл мне был ясен. Это не просто только рассказ о дурном сне, являющемся предчувствием гибели в бою, это меланхоличная баллада, очень славянская. С песней отождествляешь себя, потому что она выражает глубокое чувство - те скрытые эмоции, когда сердце хочет радоваться, а душа плачет. Но такая песня приносит не депрессию, а как бы очищение и энергию.
Мне самому интересно, почему эта песня говорит мне больше, чем западному слушателю (по моему впечатлению). Моя маленькая страна на протяжении веков находилась на культурной границе Европы. На протяжении большей части истории мы были частью Западной Европы, но корни нашей собственной культуры - славянские. Многие наши старинные народные песни (особенно народные песни Моравии) схожи с этой русской песней по своей меланхолической теме, а также по некоторым музыкальным элементам.
Это её коронный жанр: музыкальное представление; музыкальный театр в самом концентрированном виде. Если бы она просто спела русскую народную песню - вряд ли это было бы так интересно обсуждать. Но Диана Анкудинова сделала нечто совершенно иное: она сотворила на наших глазах новую поэтическую реальность, сильнодействующий синтез визуального образа и звука - которого до этого момента не существовало. Несколько раз это увидев и послушав - вы легко вызовете из своей памяти этот звучащий образ: девушку в белом платье, поющую страстно и самозабвенно, с этим удивительным голосом, заполняющим всё пространство вокруг. Никаких ассоциаций с конкретной народной песней у меня это не вызывает - я вижу перед собой что-то другое, более глубокое по содержанию - и совершенно по-другому действующее. И попытки сравнить это исполнение с тем, как эту песню поют другие артисты - также надо отбросить: сравнивать настолько разные поэтические реальности - на мой взгляд, бессмысленно. Можно при желании поискать какие-то недостатки - но мне абсолютно ясно, что это совершенно оригинальное творение, которое ни с чем сравнить невозможно. (Эталонное, в своём роде, исполнение Пелагеи - выглядит в моих глазах, как образец не то что из другого жанра - а просто из параллельной музыкальной реальности). Диана Анкудинова делает что-то подобное каждый раз, когда использует на полную мощность как свой вокальный, так и свой артистический талант: перед нами появляется новый, не виданный ранее поэтический образ, - далеко отстоящий как от оригинала, так и от всего того, что поют и показывают вокруг другие артисты...

It's about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.

She has another upload of this song but it's just a lyrics video. It was just released this last month and from what I understand it is on Russian radio now. Enjoyed your reaction. What a Wonderful World is beautiful and she jazzed it up at the end.

Thanks for the tip - I enjoyed hearing that interpretation. Pelageya has a really amazing voice. She built the song like some kind of cathedral until finally it reached an angelic otherworldly singing. I understand why the Russians are so proud of her.

I agree with a number of your comments. Stas was a total buzzkill, here. I can imagine the sound person fumbling around to kill his mic'. He got a lot of hate, at first. In later episodes, the viewers began to realize that he was essential to the success of the show.
The song does end much too soon. I am at such a high emotional point, then it suddenly stops. I really need a little bit more help. I need some softer ending, just to help me to calm down.
