Lucifer is invulnareable now, because in last episode he felt powerless to save Chloe. It's the same that happened in last episode of S3 when Pierce and his thugs shot them, and Lucifer protected Chloe with his wings, he was so desperated to save her, that he used his wings as a shield.
Ella was representing me again, cause I literally screamed WHY DID YOU LEAVE CHLOE ALONE TO PLAN REVENGE ON DAN, LUCIFER!? So when she yelled at him, I saw myself... and when Lucifer hugged her and calmed her down, I felt that too! Worried Lucifer pains my heart!
It's not that he left Chloe alone she aint a child. the fault lies with the fact that he was distracted from her abduction voicemail till the following morning becuz he was so focused on getting back at Dan. Had he picked up when she called, he could've flown to her place in seconds
@@joeg6478 what I meant was that she asked for his help and he said divide and conquer and went home to plan his revenge. If wasn't for that , he would be there working with her.
@@joannadrocha - i get that but like I said, Chloe's grown and he can't be with her 24/7. His only real mistake was not answering his phone.
@@joeg6478 I don't think he has to be with her 24/7 either, Chloe is badass on her own, god bless her, but she did ask for his help, he's her partner after all. It's like Palmetto all over again. So, yes, I blame him for giving priority to a prank over his partner (and girlfriend now). The fact that he didn't answer the phone in time is a bonus. I really wanted to punch him myself, so thank you Ella! But the one I really wanted to murder is Michael, cause it's all his fault in fact.
that's true good points. but maybe the extreme situation of the detective's abduction will make him appreciate their new relationship and what it means to be in love with a mortal
There is a theory that Lucifer is invulnerable because he realized in the previous episode that he HAS to protect Chloe. The couple "empowering each other" thing that Pete said is also important. Lucifer was powerless and couldn't do anything to save Chloe when the copycat whisper killer injected him. That is when he"realized". Also throwback to Season 2, when he first got together with Chloe, soon after their first kiss, he said to mom that he feels "invincible".
So I guess everything is affecting him and it was his "unconscious" decision that he NEEDS to be invulnerable in order to protect the love of his life.
Mojo being back is a part of this same decision. It's not because he has his guard up again. It's because he wants to protect Chloe.

I agree. I think that’s also why he got his mojo back. He felt he needed all of his abilities in order to find Chloe.

But still, it must be quite disconcerting for Chloe, as she shot Michael, who was invincible, to prove he was not Lucifer. And now Luci is also invulnerable.
(Not to mention the whole "love and opening up" part.)

I like that. I like that very much
I saved my feeling about Lucifer being invulnerable till this video. Lucifer has knows his charms and mojo do not work on Chloe. She is the only woman in the world that could not be flattered and charmed and mojoed into adoring him. Even Linda observed in the first episode that it bothered him. She didn’t care about what he wanted. She didn’t care about telling him no. And when she reacted to him, the truth came out of her mouth. Imagine experiencing that for the first time in your life? The honest truth about yourself. Lucifer felt vulnerable around Chloe because he couldn’t influence her and knew that whatever she said was how she truly saw him. And even almost to the end of season 4, he was convinced she couldn’t accept or love him as the devil. And just like his his self hatred had him accidentally showing his devil face/ wings, his fears of Chloe hurting him ( confirming his worst fears about himself or breaking his heart) left his actual body able to be hurt. But in season 5, Chloe knows everything. She knows he’s the Devil. She knows about everything he was afraid for her to see in him. And she embraced it all. She kissed him, held him, made love with him. It’s the first time that all his vulnerable fears about Chloe have melted away. So his body is also now invulnerable.

I have thought since the end of season 4 that Lucifer would become invulnerable around Chloe again.
My first theory:
What if Lucifer's vulnerability around Chloe is not because he loves her but because he didn't want to frighten her? Her opinion of him is very important to him. He has said it more than once by the end of season 4 that "that's all that matters."
Before she shot him in 1x04 he asked her if she was afraid of him. "Do I scare you?" She looks at him and says, "No."
When she caught a glimpse of his face later, she got scared. Even though he told her to shoot him to show he is the devil, deep down he didn't want her to fear him so he made himself bleed. I don't think he was in love with her yet, but he really didn't want to scare her away.
I thought after he came back he would be invulnerable again. But he was still vulnerable even after they had sex. Which leads to...
Second theory: I Think the mojo switch was the last hurtle for him. He was emotionally vulnerable with her and gave her full access to him and she was not scared off. Not only that she was happy he was open with her. I think it reassured him even more that he could trust her with EVERYTHING. He could be himself. And he did not need to be anymore or less than what he was. That was when he became himself again. Physically invulnerable and mojo returned.😇😈

Well last episode he nearly saw chloe got killed and he couldn't protect her, so that's why he's probably unvulnerable around her.
He was vulnerable around her before they were together, but now they are he feels confident and invincible.

But the key factor is she shouldn’t need to hear words to know it’s true considering the whole notion of season four...abou that Ed evil finding his first love...and his statement addressing the topic when eve was mentioned, where he said “it was always you Chloe”
The EXACT phrase “I love you” has not been said by him, but in a roundabout way it has been said, and it most certainly has been shown and proven to be true beyond what any words could do...
...so...what’s the dilemma here...?
haha, 100% with you. I always thought the I love you subplot was dumb. There's more than one way to say it, and he already has several times IMO.
i think its less about his shutting down and closing himself off to Chloe more the fact that he worked out he was the one shutting off his own invulnerability so now he knows that he can turn it back on at will.

Really if you think about it there was no reason to be all that afraid even if Lucifer was vulnerable because he'd just go to Hell, then return again. Back in Seasons 1 and 2 being killed and going back to Hell was a problem because Lucifer didn't have wings, but now he does and so should be able to travel from Hell to Earth without issue.

I wish Ella Lopez won't know she is friends with the actual devil until s6, because it's possible they extend few more seasons episodes. ( Yeah, s6 was their finale season but we the LuciFaNs would want more right ? )
The showrunners have said (in interviews) that they have planned Lucifer for 6 seasons from the beginning. They(&we) get what they wanted , they can tell the story&the end like they wanted it from the beginning. Better end on a high then to drag it out . Some shows don´t know when it is better to end it and become over the seasons more&more boring.
I love Lucifer and it will be sad to say good bye but I am glad that we get to see the planned ending(and that we do not need to fear cancellation again)
+usually Netflix gives a show only 3 seasons (there are only a few who got more)
@@Scheherasad oh that's freaking sad ( iKr ) . but i wish netflix would consider Lucifer for another seasons like s7 to s8 more like how their other shows got more seasons. But well, if they decided to end it there ( s6 ) then i wish another app get them and extend more seasons. I don't get it, why don't the WB get their show and make it a movie, like how JL or even Aquaman got its solo film, don't Lucifer deserve a film / movie version ? ( sorry , i don't want to end with just s6 )
