How to their safety rating come in so high compared to others with no steel reinforcement? Also, which would be the most comparable to this comfort and easy use wise but with steel reinforcement? Thanks so much love your videos! Need to come to Utah to store~
Hi Rose! We do agree that seats with steel reinforcement will be safer in the event of a car accident. Some seats to consider are Clek Foonf, its at the top for safety ratings and the Britax Clicktight series which is super easy to install. We would highly recommend coming into the store so you can see how they both install and we can help you find the right car seat for you.
Can you do a comparison with the Britax advocate? Also if you had to purchase one convertible car seat for your own child which would you buy? I’m in the market right now.
We would love to film that comparison but it may not be up for a while. Some of the biggest differences are; Pria 85 is much easier to remove the fabrics and machine washable and dryer safe and the chest clip "clip quick" is awesome. The Britax Advocate will be easier to install with its "clicktight" technology and has a smaller footprint so it will be easier to fit car seat next to each other. There are so many car seats on the market and we would recommend you get the one that you can install properly every time. Please let us know if you have more questions and for specific questions it may be easier to call in and talk to one of our "Certified Cubby Moms" 801-880-0584. www.babycubby.com/maxi-cosi-2015-pria-85-convertible-car-set-devoted-black/ www.babycubby.com/britax-advocate-clicktight-car-seat/
I’m sorry if you mentioned this and I just missed it. Does the Pria have steel reinforcements? If not, do you feel this is a con? Would you recommend a car seat with that over a seat without for safety concerns?
The mounting straps have been moved!!! I'M just trying to figure out where they go after I washed the covers!!!! Literally NOBODY has a single video on this!!!
How do u re thread the straps back on the car seat ?? I removed them for washing, and it looks like it was done on purpose to buy a new car seat ??? This also have to be washed
You're not really supposed to remove and wash the straps. You just wipe them down with a wet rag and let dry. This is done on a lot of seats to keep them safer. I did find a comment on one of their other videos saying to contact them through email directly to request a video on how to put the straps back. You could also contact the manufacturer and see if they have instructions. Double check the manual too.
Great question! Since the Pria 85 Max doesn't have a lock off on the seat, you would have to use the locking mechanism on your vehicle seat belt. The lock off is what happens when you hit your brakes and your seat belt does not move or allow you to go forward. To manually engage the lock off, pull the seat belt all the way out. Sometimes you'll hear a click, most of the time you will just feel that it's at its end. Once you thread the belt through the car seat and buckle it, feed the vehicle seat belt pack into its place as far as it can go. There may be a ratcheting sound. Once the seat belt is fed back into place as far as it can go, pull on it to make sure it does not come back out. If it doesn't, it's locked off. You do need to use the lock off always when installing a car seat. Hope this helped!

My seat does not seem to have that button in the back. How do I ensure, it’s reclined all the way back? (It might be a newer model. It also comes with two cup holders.)
Yes, you can! Please be aware though that isofix anchors do have a max weight limit (the combined weight of your child + the car seat). So, once that combined weight reaches the anchors' max weight you need to start installing the car seat with the seat belt. Usually the anchors max weight is 60lbs, but you will want to consult your car's manual for the specific weight limits for your anchors.
If you are local we recommend you coming by our store so we can test if it will install correctly in your car. If you are not local we would recommend you find a store near you that has car seats that will let you test the Pria in your car :)
We don't currently have a video on that, but our part 6 shows how to remove it which hopefully should help give you an idea on how to put the cover back on! :) ruclips.net/video/tfVSPJX_jGU/видео.html Let us know if you have any other questions!
If you have a child that likes to unbuckle themselves out of their car seat, then we would say upgrading for that magnetic chest clip might be what's best for them! We like them both and really its just preferential.
Watched several reviews of this car seat and this was the most comprehensive and Succinct. Thank you!!!
khamova24 we are so glad!
The Baby Cubby i have this car seat but the straps get all twisted

Do you think this model fits in a compact car?

Coffee Chai And Makeup we will consider that for our future videos. Thanks so much for your recommendation!

It does not have steel reinforcement, and yes we would prefer to use a car seat that has a steel frame.

Hi! Can you explain the lock-off feature you mentioned? What is that and how do I install the seat properly with out it?

The Baby Cubby how do I activate this if I use the latch feature?
@@E3Dominos You don't need to use this feature if you are using the latch system. Only when you use the seat belt for installation :)

Regardless of the model, there should be a handle on the back that you pull to adjust the incline!
Looks like mine is the Max.
@@Theartsygalslays The handle should be near the base!
How do I put the car seat cover back on??
Is it possible to install Pria 85 max on a Isofix car? Like by using a Isofix connector? Thank you so much!
Yes, you can! Please be aware though that isofix anchors do have a max weight limit (the combined weight of your child + the car seat). can you show how it reclines?
Do you know if this will fit in a BMW 535i?

I’ve looked everywhere, in all the social media that is raged on this videos, none of them indicate how to do it
What color is this?
Molly Peardon it's the Nomad Blue.
Could you show how to reinstall the cover?

What is the difference between the Pria 85 and Pria 85 Max??
The Max has a magnetic chest clip, a flip away crotch buckle, and some additional colors.
The Baby Cubby do you think those features are worth in increase in price?
If you have a child that likes to unbuckle themselves out of their car seat, then we would say upgrading for that magnetic chest clip might be what's best for them! We like them both and really its just preferential.
Oh gosh I hate the chest clip on this one 😢
This video is a few years old so the new magnetic clip is much easier to use!
Wish my nanny family had gotten the newer one cause they were using the 2018 one and the clip is awful!
The red release button on the crotch buckle is too hard to press for weak finger moms.
