Honestly dude, on paper, I probably wouldn’t be stoked on the whole “Otis” thing, but you pull it off super well, and like you said, is something very different from the norm. However you’re gonna do it, with or without Otis, keep it up, I love your videos.
Having OTIS as a involved character really steps up the narrative imo. Take as much time as you need if you're making these kind of stories!

As a newbie who is finding everything a little bit overwhelming, I wanna thank you for making it fun and inspiring.
Shutter/apeture, audio, grading, focus pulling, compositions, animations there is a lot to cover and damn right, overwhelming.
LOVE the mythos you've created with Otis, man. Also take it easy on yourself with the self-psych diagnoses ;) Thanks for putting out such great work, it's inspiring. Oh and also: I would love to see a little bit of your editing process when it comes to storyboarding, editing (transitions, grading etc.), and WHEN YOU KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS DONE. I have such a hard time finishing anything because I always feel it's sub-par... and it just ends up sitting on a hard drive never to see the light of day. Thanks again.
nothing is ever done.....thats the trick. When you're to tired to hold your head up, or too sick to look at it, then maybe its done. But you can always revisit-- theres always more to learn and change...though I have overworked art before and regretted it.
I know this is way late or out of order but i just purchased the bmpcc 4k amd was stressing of a lens to use as i am now broke to buy a proper lens due to all the other accessories i had to buy for the cam. After seeing this video, it took me back to the words "it's not on the equipment but the skill". Thank you so much for taking away my stress

Dope as always man! Not a huge fan of the Odis 2.0 (or the 1.0 for that matter), but it is one of those wacky things that sets you apart from other RUclipsrs and it can be very entertaining (like the episode when you talked about how to get better low-light performance with the a7iii), so hey keep it, why not? make it your signature AI thing... That BMPCC6k camera looks so appealing, but I already have too many!

I still shoot everything on sony, and colorgrading the bmpcc4k /6k is a serious learning curve.
Don't sell the Sony, you will miss it. This is a very specific camera. Good to own both!

This is true! is till prefer resolve, does premier use the GPU yet for BRAW? last i read it is only using CPU.
MAKE. ART. NOW. I’m not sure about that. I know for regular footage it’s more cpu intensive vs DaVinci gpu intensive. Fun fact (that I heard) people may not know, the free version of DaVinci doesn’t take advantage of multiple gpus.
I love the interface! I myself have thought about adding some kind of science fiction to my real life videos, this was a clever and fancy way to do it. Not too over the top, either! Kudos!

@@jgvbadv Naah it'll be about the same price for a brand new top spec. Resolve + BRAW is an amazing combo, I'm editing 4k on a 3yo PC without issues.

Yeah the greens out of this thing are really yellowish and I haven't seen too many people able to grade them right (myself included, I'm a grading noob). I picked up your LUT pack. Fertilizer works well to bring foliage back to a more natural look.
I like that he implements the artificial voice intelligence in the background it adds an exciting element to the video

Loving the detail in the footage but somehow beyond that it didn't do it for me. Maybe it's the blown HL, or the jitters / RS, or something else... who knows. I’m looking to pick up a second camera and having trouble deciding between the bmpcc6k and the new Sony a7siii. I currently run a Sony a7sii and love it but I haven’t seen anyone compare the 2 cameras yet and usually look to your videos before I make any camera/gear choices. The a7siii looks amazing and it’s what my gut tells me to go with but probably because I already own and a7sii. The appeal of the bm6k is its almost $2k less, I already own all canon glass, I won’t need to run my atomos on it to get raw recording...... choices 😳. What a time to be a content creator 😂😂😂
I'm in the exact same position as you right now, looking to upgrade from an A7SII. Internal Prores and the ability to write to an SSD has me leaning more towards BMPCC. I don't love the crop but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Unfortunately the SSD's cant record data as fast as the fastest cfast cards. They did not upgrade the usb standard that the usb c port uses on the 6k.

I've come back to this video I don't know how many times just to see the crazy sharp and detailed footage. I've watched from a phone to my 4 and 5k monitors and just still blown away by it.
