I don't know if there's any way you can see this comment, but I wanted to suggest something for Crusty's breath. My senior kitty had the worst breath, and I thought it was just normal. Can also be their food, I kept bugging my vet to check my dogs teeth because both of them just reeked, vet kept telling me their teeth are fine. Bought a new kibble that was grain free and the difference was notable within days, turns out the grains can ferment and rot in their stomach and that is what you're smelling.
when we first got my dog, we thought his horendous breath was just a dog thing (first time dog owner and he was an older guy) and he had just what your cat had! so much better now
Since they’re in NC now, there is an AMAZING veterinary dentist at Westside Animal Hospital in Durham, named Dr. Hoover. I drive my two geriatric dogs to him all the way from Southern Pines, and he’s operated on both of their mouths. He’s performed root canals and complicated extractions on them. He’s literally one of the very best in the entire country at what he does, and he’s right in their backyard now that they’re in Raleigh. If Crusty needs any dental care, I highly recommend Dr. Hoover!!!
Thank you for your input everyone! I had no idea so many people would see this comment since I posted it pretty late. I didn’t even consider food, Terra. Also, it’s nice to hear they’re close to a great veterinary dentist. That’s awesome!

If they do this, they should go to at least three different locations at the same time to order them so they’re not forcing one location to make 40 milkshakes. If they’re located near downtown, there are 3 within 12-15 minutes. Why did Carly not get you a Cookout style burger?? Chili, onion, slaw. Also their onion rings are to die for. 💛💛💛
Long Appreciation Post: My husband and I love Safiya and Tyler's livestreams! (Because of life, we are usually watching the streams after they are over- but one of these days you'll see us sliding in during an actual LIVE livestream...) We were talking last night about how simultaneously refreshing and comforting Safiya and Tyler are in their streams and just their content in general. Lately we both have felt like we are being bombarded with negative media constantly, (negative in content, language, and just general attitudes of creators) and have just really felt so worn down by a lot of the media we have followed. Honestly, livestreams give me anxiety. I think it's because sometimes it's like the feeling of inviting someone over to my apartment, but I don't know if I am going to witness them trash everything I love, talk about topics that make me feel uncomfortable and also almost exclusively use profanity in front of my child and cats before then having to ask them to leave. So normally I avoid livestreams, even though I love the idea of experiencing something fun along with other people at the same time. Enter Tyler and Safiya - two people who are fun, love each other and their cat, love learning/trying new things and sharing their experiences with us, and are also fellow nerds for Colonial Williamsburg. (ngl I have had aspirations of Mixed-up-Files-of-Mrs.-Basil-E-Frankweiler-ing that place...) It's like having friends over to our apartment that I can genuinely enjoy being around and listening to, who are both intelligent and thoughtful, and don't hose me down with inappropriate topics and profanity that I don't want my daughter (or cats) repeating. So all that to say, thank you guys for making the wholesome content I've been searching for, and letting us hang out and experience new things with you. You guys always make my day.
P.S. If we ever bump into you guys in the Carolinas when the watermelon milkshake from Cook Out is back in season, I would 100% love to treat you guys to it - definitely one of my favorite shakes of all time.

@blue I love in the southern US and biscuits and gravy is a staple meal lol. I believe it originated in southern appalachia. And I think... If I remember correctly that is. @@katyr2382 hello from across the pond! Yes our biscuits are more like a plain scone. They are very soft and fluffy though and usually slathered in butter. Cookout is absolutely the place you go at 2am after a night of drinking and dancing in your local college town bar. I have more memories than I’d like to admit of weird things happening in the drive thru while in the back of the DD’s car.
and then it’s usually followed by the driver angrily trying to sort out every drunk-person-in-the-car’s orders and then eating 4 quesadillas with one eye open while trying not to puke. great times. 😂

@@JLoDucky yep: english name should be bechamel, I guess. In french/italian is besciamel/besciamella. @@fabiogalletti8616 it is still essentially gravy. Sausage gravy uses the grease from sausage flour and milk. Some Do use butter as the fatb if not using sausage. I remember a while back that they had to remove almost all Crusty's teeth because they were rotten. Maybe he smells better now.
when we first got my dog, we thought his horendous breath was just a dog thing (first time dog owner and he was an older guy) and he had just what your cat had! so much better now
Since they’re in NC now, there is an AMAZING veterinary dentist at Westside Animal Hospital in Durham, named Dr.

Long Appreciation Post:
My husband and I love Safiya and Tyler's livestreams! (Because of life, we are usually watching the streams after they are over- but one of these days you'll see us sliding in during an actual LIVE livestream...)
We were talking last night about how simultaneously refreshing and comforting Safiya and Tyler are in their streams and just their content in general.
(ngl I have had aspirations of Mixed-up-Files-of-Mrs.-Basil-E-Frankweiler-ing that place...)
It's like having friends over to our apartment that I can genuinely enjoy being around and listening to, who are both intelligent and thoughtful, and don't hose me down with inappropriate topics and profanity that I don't want my daughter (or cats) repeating.
I love that Tyler in these livestreams exists solely to make outdated references. I’m HERE for it
So SO here for it
we love to see it lol

@blue I love in the southern US and biscuits and gravy is a staple meal lol. I believe it originated in southern appalachia. And I think... If I remember correctly that is. That the biscuits back in the day were rough and harder and adding the gravy softened them up making them more palatable. It was a poor man's meal because the ingredients were cheap.

2 notes.. As a Cook Out frequenter in college, they will make a “Franken” /suicide shake with all the flavors! AND you’ve got to get the quesadilla sauce for your fries.

Honestly, I'm sure there's a lot of work involved with streams too - but video editing sucks balls and the amount of time that they put into some of the videos must be insane. tbh I just get comfort in knowing these two are out there enjoying life and paying the bills. Welcome home.
yessss! my sister worked there one time and a group of teenagers set the garbage bins on fire at like 2 am. she quit after that, lmfao
the amount of times my roommates and I would roll up to a cookout at some random hour of the night to get food was so often- highlight of college!

YES I ran to the comments when that happened. HOW do they not know what country gravy is?!?! How did the chat not blow up about this?

@@JLoDucky yep: english name should be bechamel, I guess. In french/italian is besciamel/besciamella. Flour, butter, milk, salt, pepper (here in Italy, a hint of nutmeg, too)
And yes, goes over lasagna, vegetables, or everything goes on a oven.
American take on it may use sausage grease, bacon grease or else is left in the pan friying meat to substitute butter, but all in all it's animal fat and flour - the grease may carry a bit more flavor than plain straight butter.
@@fabiogalletti8616 it is still essentially gravy. Sausage gravy uses the grease from sausage flour and milk. Some Do use butter as the fatb if not using sausage.
