Celebrating 200k subscribers with a special car today! Thanks again everyone for all the support. As always, there's more fun stuff on the way!
Congrats!!
sick
Congrats on 200k! ❤️
Ok then
You’re the man!!!
Two Porsche's in a week, you're spoiling us with this kind of content...
Also congratulations for 200k, it's well deserved!
Congrats on 200k!!!!
Hey there,Big fan
That gauge cluster is NUTTY especially with the classic Porsche clock ugh *chef's kiss*
This version for North America has the DPF (particle filter) ??
@@jek230 no
@@DriverGuy23 but, sounds the same as the Europe version.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 with a 6 speed manual was and is definitely something special. I am just sad they no longer make it :( This spec looks STUNNING! Thanks for sharing.
hahaha, when you hear the acceleration but it cuts to B-rolls of the car
lmao he doesnt want us to see how fast he was going
@@sirnaziyeh no hes on michigan autobahn ;)))
reminds me of top gear, where Jeremy Clarkson is thrashing the lexus, but the speedo says 55 XD
"Editing trickery"
I don’t get why he doesn’t just blur out the speedo
Once you’re running out third in this car, straight to jail 😂
Wow. I'm really loving the manual cars you've been posting lately.
Damn 2 Porches in a week...both are MANUAL to make it even better.
Congrats on the 200k. Love your content. Very informative and I feel like I'm driving the cars.
Driving a manual vehicle can definitely be a more rewarding experience, but in terms of technology It is definitely vastly inferior to an automatic or cvt transmission.
I think this is the most well rounded beautiful cars in every way that has ever been made
It’s beautiful
Congrats on your success man! :)
Bruh, y'all know this is a shameless self promo, and I hope no one's falling for it.
@@acoldite2035 facts he probably doesn’t even watch his videos 😂
@@prod.royalty8245 exactly 😂
@@acoldite2035 like what do yo mean I didn’t understand
Now the car matches the title and again, congrats on 200k 😉 I have this car for close to a year now and put around 15000km on the clock once our driving season started. Mainly Swiss Alps and Black Forest. Love it. Just the perfect size and power for technical roads.
Haha, thanks for the heads up on that one!
@@TheTopher No worries.
Congrats on 200k! Not a surprise considering how you provide genuine and quality content!
Have to say one of the most balance exciting cars I've ever owned. I owned a 2008 Cayman S and it was just incredible to drive. I installed a Fabspeed exhaust with electronic valves and the sound was incredible. I would only listen to the radio when the car was sitting still. Other than that it was the exhaust, motor and transmission was all I wanted to hear. Just listening to the motor right behind you was like music. Going through the gears was never boring. Regret to this day that I got rid of it.
I’m planning to get the Base Porsche 718 Cayman in just under 1 1/2 years. Does it have ambient lighting?? I really hope it does
Congratulations on 200k! You know a car is good when you can ‘feel’ it through your POV reviews.
The sound of a Porsche flat 6 is so intoxicating, it's glorious. I hope that I one day get to experience driving a Porsche myself, I won't die a happy man until that happens. Congrats on the success of your channel. 👍
Hi, if you live in the UK, there's the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone which is brilliant!
Cadillac XLR at 2:34. Can't remember the last time I saw one of those.
Dang, congrats on the 200k Topher! I love watching you drive around metro Detroit - especially Woodward. Makes me miss those Michigan lefts.
Congrats man!!!
The damping looks amazing from what I could see on the camera, looks like it instantly and quickly resettles from bumps, no secondary motions.
I’m ordering the 2021 PDK version, should be a bit quicker and easier to stay in the powerband.
Porsche and topher never disappoints
Congrats on 200k, love all the manual lightweight sports car coverage
I like how every time he zooms and goes 90+ he cuts to a video of the outside of the car
Congrats on 200k subscribers. I love how that Flat 6 engine just revs so freely.
lol... I like how he cuts to close ups of the car everytime he's obviously headed to over 100mph... I'm sure Topher gets plenty of tickets, but jail time is a whole different ball game.
The sound is so intoxicating
This is my dream Porsche
The ideal driver’s car
I’m planning to get the Base Porsche 718 Cayman in just under 1 1/2 years. Does it have ambient lighting?? I really hope it does
It's funny to me how we all get a kick out of watching a stranger drive an expensive car through a youtube screen.. lol nice.
Imma looking at cars and if I wanna know stuff I always come to your channel because you don’t put around you give the car sum speed and honestly I just love the car vids keep it up
This one a sure future collector classic
ouuuu yessss, congrats dude!!!!, what a way to celebrate achievements, keep the good content coming pls!!!
Damn....Just Damn....Best POV by a long shot...
If I ever need a motivator to keep a good credit score this will be it.
Congrats on 200k! Keep up the great videos man!
Goes and sits in his Supercharged FRS..... It ain't no Porsche but it will do for now. Keep it up.
Love watching these car reviews in my home town
The special thing for me on this one, its manual
Congrats on 200 K 🎉🎊
Panamera next haha!! - congrats on 200k!! You are growing fast!
Great Car my man. I'd love to have this baby some day.
Yeah, I'd toss my Type R just for the sound of this exhaust. Serious looking car too.
It seems that you liked it more than the 911 gt3 🤔
Am I right?
1. Awesome and congrats.
2. This or the Lotus evora GT? Which would you prefer, having driven both?
This and a gt3 rs would be my dream combo
Hey Topher a question for you! Do they sound as good compared to 981 GT4 or even 981 GTS (which I've found to sound better than 981 GT4 only because I like pops)?
Additionally, how does it sound compared to the GT3? In terms of pitch and volume (I'm assuming GT3 is higher pitched and louder, but by how much)
I'm so conflicted between which of these 3 cars to go for or keep...I'm a big sound guy. If the car doesn't sound good i just can't get into it no matter the speed (like a 570s, could not enjoy it..)
Ive driven both. 718 does not sound nearly as good as the 981. Much deeper, doesnt howl like the 981 GT4.
One of my favorite cars
Wish there was a bit more description on how it sounds. Is it an emotional sound, does it need an exhaust, is the US version better sounding because it doesn’t have an OPF.
I loved this amazing driving video and recomend you to upload maximum videos like this , Thank you.
Mountain roads would be nice
The twistys...always the twistys.
this is metro detroit lmao, that's nonexistent.
That was a good choice you did, that one or the GT3 with PDK, obviously the GT3!!
I miss the audio from the older engine but, man, can you imagine how the GT4 RS could improve on this?
I’m planning to get the Base Porsche 718 Cayman in just under 1 1/2 years. Does it have ambient lighting?? I really hope it does
I'm going to buy this car.
4:11 I see what you did there
Nice way to mask overspeeding 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Amazing rev matches on the porsche
I love how it cuts to clips of the exterior whenever he is speeding hahahaha
My favorite part of the day when driving my 718 is taking the freeway on-ramp with nobody in front of me as fast as I want. I just have to reel it in at the end of the ramp because it’s so easy to be North of the speed limit before I enter the freeway. 😂. I’d be giggling nonstop if I did the same thing in a GT4.
Surprised that Porsche still makes manuals in 2020
looks gorgeous, but the gearing seems odd
How is the ride re comfort? Could you drive it as daily? Is it harsh on the street for normal driving?
Great video. Can you do a video of a Manual ZL1/1LE? (Preferably on Street tires). The stock GoodYear 3R's are meant for the track only.
nice color combo.
Such sweet, sweet sounds!!
I will have this car!
I just hate how long the gearing is. It juuuust about work in the GT3, but this doesnt have enough torque and it's nerfed by it. Probably to make sure it's slower than a 911.
Thought that was him rev matching the whole time I was like dayyyuuummmm
I was literally searching your videos to see if you've driven this exact car last night
Next day you post this
Thank you
This car is a great sports car when you need something fast.
Difference between GT3 and GT4? Both look hella fun, my dream cars for sure
Gt3 is based on the 911 which means it's rear engined. Gt4 is based on the cayman which means it's mid engined.
This is my dream car looks amazing from outside I’m a fan of Porsche’s looks so comfy the sounds of acceleration of this car 🤩
My absolut dreamcar to own is a handshifted cayman
do you prefer this car over the gt3? (for having fun only)
Enough power, lighter weight, more precise handling, cheaper to buy and track, unless you're rich its a no brainer, gt4
@@ricardorodrigues3508 more precise handling? I think GT3 does everything better and the sound is much better. A used 991 GT3 is aß expensive as an new cayman gt4
So - GT4 or GTS (loved the GTS review you did) - for pure road driving and just taking a spin a couple of times a month. Is the GT4 too raw and the GTS is borderline as good for bringing a smile to your face? Is the GT4 worth the extra.
How would you compare the driving feel compared to a base 992 carrera?
Did you cut the video to not show your speed down the highway?
Most underrated porsche ever. Only the true enthusiasts would even know what this is. Most people just say its not a 911
Who underrates this car? Literally every review or discussion I've seen says this thing is amazing.
@@rhatala27 911 owners 😂
The GT4 is the new 911
@@terrybilly9967 um the new 911 is the new 911
do you mind doing a review of a Toyota Vios 2020? would appreciate it!
Is the gearing really tall in these? That was the one criticism I kept seeing in other reviews.
He was going 80+ in 2nd...
ARCNA442 lol guess that answers the question
I find it funny that you cut away everytime you start doing illegal speeds 😂
@thetopher this vs a 991.2 what's your take?
Such a beautiful car 🔥
You re-uploaded the video!
Congrats
How does this compare to the M2 competition?
Congrats on 200000 subway sandwiches! I mean, subscribers! Hey can you please put the old Jeep on the Winding Road Channel?
GT 911 and Cayman are real driver sport cars. Wish they were cheaper 💔
Switching to still shots of the car when you're going too fast haha I see it....
All of the sudden, I thought of a term 'Cloverleaf Assassin'.
Please review Cayman GTS 4.0 PDK.
This version for North America has the DPF (particle filter) ??
I'm confused is this the guy on SavageGeese?
The driving experience ONLY. Price be damned..... cause.... Enthusiast..... This vs the CTR.
This!
Lol seriously?
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Why not u went for pdk automatic ?
To Porsche in 1 day 1 lucky man
Haha how much to fix that window shield crack though?
Almost 90 mph in 2nd gear? Smh. 🤭🤔🤨
2:12 80mph in second gear. Still high though.
GT3 was pretty identical speed/gear in his earlier review. Race cars built for both track and street.
50mph in first. Even if I wanted to spend the cash on this, this would be one of the major things to put me off.
No one is asking you to run 90 mph in 2nd gear. You can shift earlier, no need to redline the car all the time. That would be stupid.
@@rforracing no one is telling me to do it either. It’s just stupid gearing. The car would rip if it had reasonable gearing. All the reviews say the same thing. You drive using 3 gears. 1-2-6. Dumb.
how come the gauges are red not yellow?
I think 2nd gear is too long to enjoy the car without breaking the speed limit
High revving cars tend to have that issue. Same is found in the gt350 but at least they sound amazing.
@@jimmypena2442 ...and the GT3 he reviewed earlier.
is that a carolina gamecocks shirt on your passenger??? hell yeah
When have you ever seen a seventh gear manual
the 718 is a difficult car to review and do justice to on the street ... Doing anything legal in a 718 is just a waste of time... you might as well just take a nap, it's about as exciting. It's like taking a plane for a review but just taxing around on the runway without ever getting into the air.
Skips to B roll whenever you go -above- the speed limit ;)
I like the solo videos better, someone riding along is a distraction.
