Should be. Apparently it was factory produced and written by the industry big wigs to appeal to the maInstream. They pretty much only used Al as a face to advertise it. This is why he's hated it for 40 years and is remaking what he can to reclaim the music as his own once more.
If Al adopted this approach for a future album-catchy synth leads like ‘With Sympathy,’ heavy guitars, and his incredibly on point clean vocals-he’d have his most successful album in 30 years. I can’t get over how amazing his voice is. Uncle Al, it doesn’t suck. It’s incredible. Do more of this.
Thank you for posting! This is incredible. A round of applause to Uncle Al’s current band mates, his daughter, the “With Sympathy” cover band and countless others who encouraged him to revisit his early work.
Al said hes going to be retiring Ministry soon, but wants to remake some of his old synth stuff from With Sympathy ❤. A huge gift to his original fans who have been with him on his musical journey since 1981. Hes coming full circle to retire Ministry. Love love love Al jourgenson. ❤
I'm glad I got to see this live, it was great. On the way to the show, I played this song for the boys. Told them it was a great song but that they wouldn't play it live. I was very fortunately wrong.
I just saw an interview with Al about how he has made peace with although not entirely with "with Sympathy" and that he is planning on re-recording a handful of songs off of it including "Revenge" of course.
Had the privilege to be there for this! My grandpa listened to them as a youngin. Getting to see this at my first concert at 21 was the best experience ever! This was my favorite song they played!
My mind is blown. I would have never believed in a million years that I would be seeing this. And of course it’s Ministry so its good. I’m really enjoying this because I love the old school ministry. Al still hittin those signing notes like he was 21 again. You did it again, (and again) Al! ✌️ Bravo 👏 👏
So bad ass. This is what Ministry needs to return to. The noisy ferocity of the records from ‘92 onwards were great industrial metal but having a contrast of synthy pop is a necessary palate cleanse that shows the width of Ministry.
Huge With Sympathy fan here, and hearing this making me teary. Funny though my introduction to Ministry was Psalm 69,and when I first saw WS in the stores I didn't think it was the same band. Until I saw the pic of Al in the album, and then when I heard it totally blew me away. Thought he would never play this again lol Hope they get this back in the setlist.I would seriously consider seeing them in concert just to hear some With Sympathy songs. ❤
I am literally in tears seeing and hearing this... I have loved this song for 41yrs .. I REALLLLY hope they play this in Milwaukee this summer, cuz I already have my tickets!!!
He wrote all of the songs on “With Sympathy” with a little help from his former band mates (Stevo, Rob, etc.) “She’s Got A Cause” was performed at their very first gig in Chicago on NYE 1981.
If anyone has not seen the interview with Uncle Al on Yahoo Entertainment, you should. He talks about his early days in Chicago and how he "sold out": to Clive Davis before he started. Really must see for any Ministry fan.
I’m guessing it is an unusually chilly day in heck now and I think I just saw a pig fly overhead but this sounds great as expected! 🔥🖤. I’ll look forward to hearing more! 😎
yea I love the old With Sympathy stuff, he said in an interview once in the 1980s to burn that record, but look at him here performing the hit single. Well done. I love it.
Sheesh, I don’t even know what to say. What a gift! I feel like my life is actually a little more complete now. Can’t wait to hear what Al does with Effigy and Work for Love. With Sympathy is absolutely brilliant and one of the best records of the 80s 🤚🏻🥀
This is GREAT! Was afraid Uncle Al & Co. were going to take a nu-metal shit on this classic, but they amped it up 10 notches and now its..A STONE CLASSIC! Watch these new versions be mega influential in years to come.
When I saw that this was on the set for the tour I didn't believe it, but now I do and I cant believe I have to miss my towns date because Id love to see this live
Hallelujah! I can't believe he delivered on his promise! In that interview I was so surprised to see him discussing With Sympathy in such a chill way that when he stated " we're gonna redo Revenge and play it again " I thought Al was just teasing us. I'm also a bit disappointed though, because he said "it's still gonna sound like a pop song" and somehow I was not expecting it to turn out like this.
It's ok to admit With Sympathy is 1 of the greatest albums of the 80s...
Yes!!

Word.
Even in 2024 - I listen to a few songs. I played it constantly back in the 80s..
Now THIS is Ministry!! Glad he found it in him to play this banger.
3:16 - you know the song is fucking bop when even the security guard is feeling the music like that lol
Wow… this is just nuts. After all this time, never thought I’d see the day. Would have loved to have been there for this.
Me too yo

Yes!!!!
FACTS!
Lotta texturing on the vocals.
I'm pretty sure that's the plan. It won't be new material, but at least an EP's worth of pre-Twitch material recorded as stadium rock.
No lies detected
I just died! Wow amazing he has no clue how amazing this is for a lot of people 🖤🖤
Was lucky to see the band play "Revenge" live on Oct 12, 1984 at the Ritz in NYC!!!
You're a legend! 😮
Ministry's best stuff! Glad to see Al is embracing it a little more.
He has a lot of best stuff
I cannot believe this! 😱😱😱 If Ministry took this approach of the cleaner vox + synth with their next album, I think it would be very well received.
Love Ministry's early synth days. Do more of this Al.. more!!
Thank you for posting! This is incredible. A round of applause to Uncle Al’s current band mates, his daughter, the “With Sympathy” cover band and countless others who encouraged him to revisit his early work.

I hold out hope that he and Paul will share a stage one last time.
I'm glad I got to see this live, it was great. On the way to the show, I played this song for the boys. Told them it was a great song but that they wouldn't play it live. I was very fortunately wrong.
I was supposed to take my son, but I wasn’t gonna deal with the heat. I now regret it.
I figured he was going to make the song really heavy with the melody almost being unintelligible, I was completely wrong
I thought I would sooner see the second coming of Christ than Al playing this song live again. Absolutely amazing!
lulz SAME!
I just saw an interview with Al about how he has made peace with although not entirely with "with Sympathy" and that he is planning on re-recording a handful of songs off of it including "Revenge" of course.
Hahaha the security guy is clearly a With Sympathy fan too
Had the privilege to be there for this! My grandpa listened to them as a youngin. Getting to see this at my first concert at 21 was the best experience ever! This was my favorite song they played!
That was freaking epic!
I would love to hear them play I'm Falling and Same Old Madness!
Those are awesome songs.
SOM has one of the best drum performances in any "new wave" song, and I'd put the drumming up there against nearly any song from the 80s.
@@aliwantizuThe synths are pretty good too!
The safest song for these cool guys to play off their best album. I’d love to see She’s Got a Cause
Yeah. Me too.
If he rerecords nature of love and same old madness i can die. This is amazing
SAME OLD MADNESS!!! YES!!!
FINALLY!!!!!! And I hear a synth - YES!!!!! WOW
Holy cow! They’re gonna be playing With Sympathy at Cruel World Fest!
We need a full abum now. I love the direction they took it.
He'll fuckin yeah Uncle AL, same old madness!! Let's hear it!
Saw them play it live when with Sympathy came out originally. Excellent then and now. Love the refresh.
@3:14 even the security guard thinks Al remaking With Sympathy is a great idea. Lol!
This sounds really fucking good actually. Incredible to hear him doing this song again. Love With Sympathy.
Seems he does have time for what we feel ...
😂
Seeing them in 3 weeks. I hope they play this!
Did they?
Man, when he suggested capping his time with Ministry by revisiting With Sympathy, I never in a million years thought he would actually do it.
So bad ass. This is what Ministry needs to return to. The noisy ferocity of the records from ‘92 onwards were great industrial metal but having a contrast of synthy pop is a necessary palate cleanse that shows the width of Ministry.

Beautiful. So happy that Al has come around to the art that we have as fans always loved. After all these years he nailed that song!❤❤❤
I figured he was going to make the song really heavy with the melody almost being unintelligible, I was completely wrong
I am literally in tears seeing and hearing this... I have loved this song for 41yrs .. I REALLLLY hope they play this in Milwaukee this summer, cuz I already have my tickets!!!
Sounds great, now he needs to play some stuff off of Twitch
Yeah idk why he hasn't. Because from what I remember he enjoyed majority of the songs on twitch.
I'm legit crying right now! So good! Thanks for the share!
Even in the 80s I always thought this was a metal song in disguise.
I heard a rumor that Uncle Al is considering rerecording with sympathy. After hearing this track I am actually not doubting that may happen
The original article on it was rerecording this along with Effigy, Work for Love and Here We Go. Only doing the songs he wrote himself
@@hatcherp1393he wrote the best songs on that album 🤷♀️
No, dont rerecord!!
He wrote all of the songs on “With Sympathy” with a little help from his former band mates (Stevo, Rob, etc.)
“She’s Got A Cause” was performed at their very first gig in Chicago on NYE 1981.
They covered Every day is Halloween recently too. Another banger
If anyone has not seen the interview with Uncle Al on Yahoo Entertainment, you should. He talks about his early days in Chicago and how he "sold out": to Clive Davis before he started. Really must see for any Ministry fan.
This!!! ❤❤❤
Thank the gods this rocks... look how happy the keyboard guy is.
It’s sounds great he should remix his old hits
That was actually really good
I can't wait for the remakes of these old songs to come out.
Holyshit!.. well... better late than never!
Come to brazil one last time with this set please
I’m guessing it is an unusually chilly day in heck now and I think I just saw a pig fly overhead but this sounds great as expected! 🔥🖤. I’ll look forward to hearing more! 😎
This is beautiful!!! Sounds like a Type O’ Negative song❤️❤️❤️
I was shocked when this happened! I love it!
Please play this is Canada in March 🫶🙏
😮😮😮🤓
Amazing to hear this one live in 2023 I LOVE IT
Gotta love where he took it
Wow! That sounded fantastic. More of this, please!
yea I love the old With Sympathy stuff, he said in an interview once in the 1980s to burn that record, but look at him here performing the hit single. Well done. I love it.

Finally!
You can hear the young al in his voice from the studio version.
Hell has officially frozen over.
Glorious.
Hooooooly sh!t,.....he did it. As promised. I thought ' he would've done it in a metal way, like Everyday is Halloween ' but he did it. Awesome 👍
Damn, kick ass, now bring back some Twitch as well!!
He said he will do some twitch songs as well
Damn! This version is amazing!!
After 40 years.... FULL CIRCLE!!!
When I saw that this was on the set for the tour I didn't believe it, but now I do and I cant believe I have to miss my towns date because Id love to see this live
Sorry to hear about that! I bet there will be even more old/new jams live in the near future😊
FUCKING AWESOME ❤
and it sounds nice!!
I wish so badly they played this when I saw them recently in Montreal!
Did they play any With Sympathy tracks?
And I didn't go to this show... regret doesn't even begin to describe it... dammit.
Aww be sure to catch him next time, it’ll probably be even groovier!
The greatest Ministry song ever recorded. Just my opinion...
WoW!!!! Classic
but where is the corridor... yes the corridor? Anyway, I dare say Al looks to be in fantastic physical shape
🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏 thanks Al Jürgensen
YAAAAAAY!!!! 🎉
He's even doing the English accent!!!
🔥🖤🎶🎶🎵❤️🔥
Amazing
Excellent! Thank you for sharing
❤
Love seeing this. Al should just own all of Ministry. Beginning to present. It’s all good stuff.
Badass
Ok, this is a great version. Hard and Heavy
Never thought I'd see this. Sounds great!!
We need this and work for love worldwide
Wow, I never thought I would see Al do this music again
Al fin! El Alien se digna de hacer en vivo un tremendo tema de la primera época cómo es Revenge.👏👏👏
Amazing. I can't wait for the new album and tour. Revenge really does work as a hard rock song. Looking forward to how the other remakes turn out.
Masterpiece
I’m mind blown on how well they did this. Most of the time when a band tries to heavy up a tune they ruin it.
Ahhh the good old ministry...finally!
This is awesome
demais esse som
WHAT??!!! Ministry is playing From Sympathy again??? AL HAS COME FULL CIRCLE
Good ol Uncle Al came to his senses
With sympathy is their best album
The old stuff is the best
nice evolution from the original song
Im so excited for this! Id love him to redo this album, but gor now ill settle for my favorite by them!
This slays. With the heavy guitars. Awesome.
