Thanks for the video, I was watching the "other" guy and determined that I could live without that light. You did it with one hand and removed three parts to do so. Well done. Oh, for those needing the bulb, it's a #74 or T5 wedge
oh my God! I’m so thankful for this video. The process was so easy and my teenager son who has never held a tool in his life was able to do it. THANK YOU!!
Dude I just got my led T5 from China. This was so easy. I am spending the day with my with and she went bought a dress or something. So while I was in the car waiting I followed your video and did it. Now I had some issues finding the hole to put the replacement back in. But I got it. Thanks.
This may be my favorite all-time fix-it video I have ever watched...To the point, saved me tons of time and funnier than hell. Please keep making vids. Thanks
I watched that other guys video first, couldn't believe what I was seeing. I really appreciate this video, its just what I was looking for, simple and to the point. Great job!
Thank you! Th first video that came up when looking for this was that other guy and almost made me not bother but decided to see others do it and you made it way simpler and clear.
Thanks for this video! This bulb in my 02 Accord just went out the other day and I'm glad to know I won't have to take the entire center console apart.
Saw the other guy video, And I told myself no way wtf!. There has to be a better, faster and easier way. Then this video came's right after.I was so pleased and relieved that I didn't have to tear my whole center console apart just to change one small light bulb. Thank you so much.
Thanks very much for posting this video, it was a big help for me. I got into the gearbox with no problem, but getting the light out is different in a 2001 Honda Accord EX-L. You have to twist it to get it out and it's a bitch getting back in. Also the Blue LED T5's I bought didn't fit, they were too big. I had to order directly from Honda to get the right size. Turns out it wasn't the bulb after all, it ended up being a big fix. I just want other people to know that most everything is inter-changeable in the 1998-2002 Honda's but there are some differences. My recommendation is to get the the bulb out and go to a Auto-Zone or other Auto Supply store and make sure you get the right bulb. Then Google the size and see if it's available in LED. Still this video is the best, that other idiot didn't know what the hell he was doing, you were spot on!
Thanks, I didn't think it would be that easy. I didn't even need a screwdriver. The hardest part was getting the light socket back in. Like other people have said I used the opportunity to clean the trim pieces in the sink.
Thanks for your video. one other guy was saying on here you have to take off the hubcaps and steering wheel first. I'm glad I seen your video because you knew a much easier way to fix it god bless you, I can't tell what gear i'm in amen. ps stay 20 feet away stay safe and don't go to church.
Thank you for your video it was very helpful of course I found it after I already had took everything apart because I'm my old three TL you have to take everything apart to get to that light..
Side note: if your changing the bulb in a teenager's car the center console WILL be glued down with layers of spilled fast food drinks!!! Soak the thing down with cleaner first! But seriously, great video, really appreciate you taking time to make it!
Can't disagree with everyone else -watched that other video first and then I saw that your video was half as long and thought "I'll just check this one just in case." So great! Also loved the f-bombs. Changed the bulb in the parking lot of an AutoZone when I had 15 minutes to kill before a meeting. The Autozone employee at first couldn't find the right bulb in their computer but when I showed him the old bulb he found the right one in about one minute. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!
I watched the other guys video and I was like forget that. It's been out for years so whatever. Then dude I saw your video and I was like I got this. So a T5 bulb will do it. I got some T10 coming to change out all the bulbs in my car to LEDs. But I am doing this to my Honda. You tha man bro.
First, thank you! As a girl, I would've been charged a ridiculous amount to change that bulb. Second, Wow, never knew the cup holder came out. It is icky in there and now I can clean it. Thanks so much! A little less potty language would be appreciated.
I had to lift the grey gearshifter part out to be able to have enough leverage to twist the bulb out. I tried to put an extra blue T5 in from a ebay kit I bought for my dashboard but it doesnt fit. Theyre the same size not sure why it wouldnt fit.
Great video. do you remember the LED buld size to look/search for on Amazon or AutoZone??? Mine, is blown, and I want to change it. I want to update all the blown bulbs in my 6th-Gen. I want it to look 2020 and beyond.... An ATLien... OutKast
I don't know who your talking about, but the video I just watched did this the hard way. This way here is the way to do it. I'm like you, why remove what you don't have to?... doesn't make sense to. Btw, those LEDs are polarity specific, if they don't light up in the socket you have to flip them 180 degrees, then reinsert them back in the socket. Positive has to be on the positive pole, negative on the negative pole in order for them to work.
Thanks for the instruction. Helps. But he was a little rough with the panel and looks like he broke it. To take the panel off, look for the center console removal diagram for 2002 honda accord and carefully pry in the area of the fasteners with a cloth over a flathead screwdriver Don't "just pull it up. "
The bulb is hard to get back in... What helped me is I used a little round mirror (Kinda like the ones dentists use) so I could see the socket better. And with my other hand I inserted the bulb fixture with using small pair of needle nosed pliers. took less than a minute.
You sound like you're in the witness protection program.
He's not "fuckin" in the program yet.
Ikr, when I heard him, I laughed so hard ROFL

Man, you are mad at that guy who gave wrong instruction! Thanks!
Thanks for the video, I've had an 02 accord and that light has been out since I bought the car. I didn't even know it was suppose to light up. LOL
oh my God! I’m so thankful for this video. The process was so easy and my teenager son who has never held a tool in his life was able to do it. THANK YOU!!

Thank you. I followed your instruction and changed out the bulb in my car. It works great. Blessings!
Thank you! Th first video that came up when looking for this was that other guy and almost made me not bother but decided to see others do it and you made it way simpler and clear.
Thank you! I you mention the “ other guy “ that removed everything to change the bulb. You save me a ton of work!
Thanks for this video! This bulb in my 02 Accord just went out the other day and I'm glad to know I won't have to take the entire center console apart.
Much better video than the other one. Thank you so much! Edit: If the LED light doesn't work, rotate 180 degrees. Reverse the polarity.
Saw the other guy video, And I told myself no way wtf!. There has to be a better, faster and easier way. Then this video came's right after.I was so pleased and relieved that I didn't have to tear my whole center console apart just to change one small light bulb. Thank you so much.
I was easy and worked really well for me. I would have never attempted it without this video.
I'm so glad you made this video bro. Thanks man. It's so easy when you show it.

Thank you thank you thank you!! This bulb in my car has been out for three years and I thought it would be too complicated to fix
Thanks, I didn't think it would be that easy. I didn't even need a screwdriver. The hardest part was getting the light socket back in. Like other people have said I used the opportunity to clean the trim pieces in the sink.
Thanks a million mate 😉. However, for the reinstall, I positioned & zip tied my bulb assembly and found the same lighting results as before 🤘🏽
Thanks. I feel more confident after viewing your video. The other guy was too complicated. thanks a million.
Thank you big guy. Your video works perfectly for me and DIY saved me $80. Thanks,
Thanks for your video. one other guy was saying on here you have to take off the hubcaps and steering wheel first. I'm glad I seen your video because you knew a much easier way to fix it god bless you, I can't tell what gear i'm in amen. ps stay 20 feet away stay safe and don't go to church.
perfect! Thank you, my car became scary to drive at night but now it's good to go!
Thanks you, worked like a charm. Need a little patience getting the bulb holder re-engaged. Insert with the flats horizontal then twist 90° clockwise.
Thanks. Very helpful. I watched that other video with the other guy you mentioned. You saved me some time.
I wanted to let you know your video was great. It saved a lot of time and it made a lot of sense. It was very easy the way you explained it.
You saved me a ton of time bro! Thanks alot🙏🏻
