@@radioman6489 That’s a good question and I don’t know, but a friend of mine says he likes to 7600 better than the 7300. He tried av7300 for a while and stuck with his older radio. 73!
Hi Robert, A touchscreen attached to the DVI port on the rear of the radio would require and touchscreen driver to be installed in the radio. The mouse driver would not work. As I understand it, Icom never intended to have a touchscreen, it was just a rumor (fake news) that ran a muck :-) Rich, K0PIR
Hi Greg, Thanks for the question. Yes it has the carrying handle from the factory. They must just sell it as an extra. Thank you again. Best 73 - Rich, K0PIR
Hi Greg, Thanks for commenting and it's nice to hear from you again. Boy, I can't tell you in words how much I enjoy this radio. I am very happy with it. I hope they get the high speed USB port operational soon :-) Best 73, Rich, K0PIR
Thanks Rich. Just checked out the website and subscribed. Are you an hf antenna builder/enthusiast? Interested to know what you are using Cheers Neil in UK
Hi Neil, Thank you! No, I have not built any HF antennas. Just have a HyGain TH-2MK3 beam. We are limited here in town on height and I don't have much room. For 40 and 80 I have an inverted vee. Hoping for a larger lot someday, but until then I am enjoying these radios. 73!
Nice review/video friend. Not as good as Burts though. They are truly rivetting!!! Keep em coming mate. You're my type of ham-interesting and not full of bs

I run IC-7300 in all mode and I am very happy from 7 years now
Your pushing of your website & to follow you is relentless!
Yeah, sometimes I did it too much. Not now though. Thank you for commenting and I appreciate the feedback. GL and GDX!
Rich, thanks for your trouble with this comparison, nice, easy to watch and compare. 73 from M0TNX
Good to hear from you and thank you so much for commenting. GL, take care and best 73!
I've heard that the 7300 is pretty much the same on receive as the IC-7610 is this true? Is it true?
Thank you for the question and yes very close. However the Icom 7610 has a 3dB step attenuator and a APF filter on CW. Best 73!

what about the mouse driver I have been told the reason it wont work is because the wasn't a driver available, cant the mouse driver be used ?

You can use a mouse with the 7610. I realise it's been a year since your post, but now you know.
Rich, did your IC-7610 come with the handle? I see the radio on some of the sales sites, with the handle as an option for $29.95 or so.
Hi Greg,
Thanks for the question. Yes it has the carrying handle from the factory. They must just sell it as an extra. Thank you again. Best 73 - Rich, K0PIR
Thanks, I'm sneaking up on getting a 7610. Soon, soon. :-)

They list the handle as an option so that you may buy one if it becomes a need for whatever reason. I have never seen one without a handle.

I noticed solid lines on the 7610 screen what's up with that ?
it appears to be a small stable bump with a line down from it … thanks

The 7300 is a beginners radio & falls far short of the abilities of the 7610.
Great video! Thanks for sharing it with us! 73's KD9JEO

What the 7300 doesn’t have is a ridiculous price!
Useless review, in fact it isn't a review at all, 4 pictures would have done it
It is a comparison (bold lettering in title), not a review. Thanks for your input.
