I just bought the exact same unit on amazon for $123.00 without the duct work or the probe. I run it in my lung room so I’m not too worried about that. Honestly the thing is a beast ! I’m in a high humidity climate. The reservoir is way too small for its capacity to remove moisture. I have it draining now in a 5 gallon bucket. 80% humidity in my room now. I didn’t realize spiderfarmer had this unit. I might send mine back.
So I prefer humidifier outside. More room and temps don’t change. That’s what the extension is for. The exhaust for that sucker on top. Other that I am getting this one for my other tent. Rebuild also in the basement. Thanks for review needed a nudge. I notice a lot of bad reviews but from what I read it seemed to be user error or bad shipping.
hi mate the dehumidifier if for the outside of the tent and that ducting for the inside of tent,it’s the wrong way round 😂🎉all you are doing is making your tent colder and blowing your dry air out the window
I think you have to put it outside your tent. And the ducting will blow into the tent. Thats why its so great. You can hang the sensor in your tent. It will heat up your tent
Ive been scowering youtube lookin for videos on how to lower my RH im sick of seeing tiny bits of PM on all my shit 🤦🏻🤦🏻 i mite have to get one of them dehumidifiers
@denniskartes1302 I'm lookin for ways to lower humidity as well as stuff I can use during veg to help prevent pm in flower. I scrubbed tf outta my tents and I think I'm gonna get a ozone machine to use in my tent with all my equipment to clean them 99% between each run I heard that'll kill basically anything
Winter takes away humidity, my opinion the tent needs every bit of space for plants only. This is where the MH/HPS really shines during winter time. I’d rather see a RDWC or RSWC with this setup. Regardless do your thing with LED and dwc👍🏻
This room is small, combine that with dwc and a 5'x5' plant could spell potential issues. don't want those! I would never run HID lighting again personally. RDWC is DWC just more modules, its the exact same thing. good luck 👍
I fixed mine because the sensor cable was a little bit dirty when i unpacked the whole thing. Mabey styrofoam or something. I fixed it with my compressed air device. Now the display shows me the humidity Level.
@@sergado9439 if your geographic location is low in humidity then Yes high volume air exchange works well, but if ambient RH is say higher than ideal then a humidifier is needed. Dwc or sealed grow rooms like mine also benefit from dehumidifiers. 👍
Im doing this 1 MEGA plant grow in DWC because the community voted on it here ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM2QLAKVXZfI4pscnXSeRYkFFHCM6FTu7t. After 20 years I prefer coco for its simplicity and peace of mind. Many more things can go wrong in DWC than coco. I have not done a DWC/LED grow as of yet on the channel and this grow will put dwc vs coco to rest for me and everyone else watching hopefully. 👍
I was literally just on amazon looking at dehumidifiers for my tent and this new video notification popped up hahaha no way

You have a Link from Amazon?
Wait, this is meant to blow the air in the tent not out 😅
Yea that’s what . Something ain’t right there
Good luck with your new dehumidifier. I hope it works out great for your grow😊
working great 👍👍😊
I need to get one bad

I’d be interested in knowing what the increase in temp is…although I’d have the unit outside the tent, with the ducting connected to the tent
A fair bit treat it like a ac unit, warms mine from 69F to 75F per on n off cycle
duct extension goes into tent not out window thats the treated air blowing out
@@redeye1773 they both sit in the exact same room, that wouldn't make any difference in my situation.
@@redeye1773 and no I would never exhaust hot air into the canopy itself. Good luck
I don't have room in my tent for this?

A dehumidifier isn't going to stop/get rid of powdery mildew.
It may help prevent it,but not remove it. indoor pm can be a bitch.

So it more like a ac unit pumps air out side when compressor come on

hi, iam new to the growing stuff. I have a question: why a dehumidifier ? why not less humidifiying or higher ventilation? thx guys

Wood Burning Stoves are great sources of heat and will dry the fuck out of your house.
No more room for anything. Kinda maxed out
👍 👍
Are you a part owner of spiderfarmer?
I wished lol
To hell with DWC.

@HygroHybrid
I believe you.
DWC is several orders of magnitude harder to get dialed in.
Bro you're running backwards.
The Dehu goes on the outside of the tent and you run the vent into the tent not out of window.😂
@@eric42073 WOW, I no idea. 😆
