Mate I worked for BMW for a number of years. Here at Mini Oxford, in NedCar in Holland and BMW Munich. You should've took the other spoiler off. Thats why you're left with a 12 mm lip (estimated). Good attempt though.
I don't know what you did working for BMW, but i own this car, and this stock 'spoiler' is NOT REMOVABLE. Its not plastic, its part of the bodypanel (metal)....

get the 1M bumper front and back. I started working on my 120d same time as you and we are at same stage in terms of mods minus the spoiler. im getting the 1M bumpers soon. it will add the unique flair to the car.

It needs sanding down, primer filled and painted properly. Also way too much adhesive! I also had a heart attack seeing your glue overkill 😂. Less is more. Too much glue creates a gap.
I own a F20 LCi just brought a carbon wing off eBay there’s a lot of nice ones on there or I shit you not “ali express “ also do really good parts like spoilers and whatever you need splitters etc, just type in your model and it’ll bring up loads of different ones
how long did it take for the wing to fully cure to the boot? got the same one and wanted to use the car in the evening so was going to stick it on in the morning, do you think that'd be enough time? nice video! :)

so this video is about what not to do right ? stick a spoiler with glue that might go off the highway and hit someones car, use a chinese spoiler that won't fit, use a cheap wrap that looks like hell. Please get back to the TT :)

I received the same spoiler today… I don’t know because mine is made of fiberglass and it feels wood-like and heavy. Makes me uncomfortable really. You preferred fiberglass as you said in your video… I think yours, which is plastic, might be better. And yes these spoilers are not perfect fits at all no matter which material it is made of. If I install mine I will have to paint it first… color car is titan silver. So not sure about the wrapping part… 🫣 And finally you stuck it on with glue (lots of it 😂). How easy/hard is it when you ever want to remove the spoiler for some reason ?

No please dont wrap them it looks shit. Use a good tint spray with some masking tape. Will look much more professional and OEM

I think it’s the RDX spoiler. It costs about 100€ on amazon.

RDX spoiler is too massive, the OEM BMW Aero package spoiler looks more proportionate imo... But to each their own, I guess.
