Well-made video! Just about 50 years ago, I rode the "bullet train" from Kyoto to Tokyo in 1971 (Boy Scouts, World Jamboree, I was only 15 yrs. old). I love these trains!!
Kumamoto is the prefecture where my grandmother was born, My grandfather was born in Kagoshima! Thanks for sharing! 熊本は祖母が生まれた県で、祖父は鹿児島で生まれました! 共有してくれてありがとう
Awesome video as always... Just a quick suggestion... Maybe have a simple map of Japan in the beginning showing where you are going and the stops? That would be an awesome touch!
Solo Travel Japan has a few little tricks I'd love to see Kuga do. Like when he individually names all of the food items, as well as what you suggested. Helps us who aren't from Japan figure out what's what.
Great memories from taking that train to visit Kumamoto Castle three years ago... now I have to go back to check the new line opening in 2022! Thanks for posting!
That seat pitch at 4:42 is insanely good. An airline executive would be looking at that space and thinking, "I could cram 100 more passengers into here, easy." Why does JR leave the phones in the trains if they're no longer working? Do they intend to turn them back on at some point, or are they just taunting people? :)
"Bear" is the first thing I thought of for Kumamoto because of the "Kuma" part. I didn't know about Kumamon. I'd seen the character before but I never knew the name or where it was from until now. Love learning new stuff from your videos.
The 800 series Tsubame is my favourite shinkansen by far and has the best colour scheme too! There is even a coach that matches it that runs from Shin-Yatsushiro to Miyazaki!
I enjoyed d trip..am a senior citizen and have not gone out of d house often bcoz of the danger of covidvirus..find it enjoyable 2 just watch ur videos& see d beauty of trains in Japan
On the subject of Kyushu Shinkansen, can't wait to see you take the West Kyushu route to Nagasaki next year. ;) I do hope we see the extension east to Beppu, Oita, and Miyazaki one day, too.
You are right, Kuga, this train is beautiful. I love the wood. It also looks great from the outside too. I think the design of your carriage was the best.
Interesting. I took the Shinkansen from Fukuoka to Kumamoto in late 2019 but it didn't really leave any lasting impression as being more beautiful than other routes. My wife bought the tickets so I'm unsure on which of the three varieties we took. And I'm not really a train nerd like so many around the world seem to be. 😃 Here's a thumbs up to any sort of travel around Kyushu. Wonderful friendly landscape, people and delicious food. 👍
Beautiful train, wonderful video you made, thank you kindly for sharing, from an old Englishman that’s visited Japan many times I miss her very much….🥲
Oh wow, they've really gone all out in the design with this one! I was blown away by it even though I'd just watched a video about perhaps the most luxurious train I've ever seen (do watch it: it's about the Rocky Mountaineer, in Canada, on the Downie Live channel)
I especially liked the aesthetics in Car 2 - all that warm wood with black cushions. Simple beauty = elegance 🙂! The kind of design that the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright so admired in Japan 🙂.
The trains appear expensive in Japan compared to Europe, however, they are cleaner and newer, great vid my friend, keep up the good work, and keep uploading your adventures 👍👍👍
What a beautiful train! And so clean! Here in Australia we have to put up with trains that are nowhere near as good, or as fast, and definitely not as clean. Aussies love to scratch their names on train windows and leave ugly graffiti and tags everywhere. Even our stations are dirty and not well maintained. I loved living in Japan for a while and still miss it.
Great video as always! I think you should try the current limited express Kamome service from Hakata to Nagasaki. The one with 885 Series. It has the same design rolling stock as LNER Azuma in UK. I think it would be an amazing trip!
Thanks so much for sharing this new video! Your explanation of meanings and sharing details of the train ride make it more interesting than some others! And the little Kumamoto black bear was very cute ! 😊👍 (Ok - maybe not so little 😂)
My Sister and I are planning to come to Japan for the first time with our Aunt. Our grandmother was Japanese and we are going to try to visit our family there.
You have to admire the infrastructure and technology but also how does this work? All of these lovely bullet trains speeding from city to city with virtually no people on them. There must be large subsidies provided by the government and funded by the Japanese people to keep them running.
Suggestions for you: Kurobe Alpine Route in Mid April or May to see the snow? How about the bus ride to Kamikochi and a short walk around the village? Also, the train from Kyoto to Lake Biwa and a ride on the (American?) paddle steamer boat? The train starts as an underground metro, exits and goes down the middle of a street, then changes to regular train tracks.
It's great that they will open a new shinkansen line in Kyushu, but there would also be a need for a fast line between Hakata and Miyazaki. Miyazaki area is really beautiful.
This is one of my favourite shinkansen train either, since it's elegant interior design will makes you feels like it is a Daimyo's Sedan Chair (but in a shinkansen)🤣
Love this. It relaxes me from my boring yet painful stressful life. Thank you

Just beautiful. I really envy the Japanese culture. So clean and elegant.

Plus one on this, I don't know Japan at all, so a map would be nice to get a general idea
yes, that would be helpful
There's never a boring moment when watching your channel. Love how engaging everything is.
This is such a beautiful train, designed flawlessly as only Japan can!
Beautiful, modern and very clean. Can't wait for the time Japan opens to tourists.
Great memories from taking that train to visit Kumamoto Castle three years ago... now I have to go back to check the new line opening in 2022! Thanks for posting!
What a beautiful train! I really enjoy your travel videos, and I appreciate all of the effort that you put into them. Keep up the good work!
Love all your videos!! Thanks for adding in all small details!!
That seat pitch at 4:42 is insanely good. An airline executive would be looking at that space and thinking, "I could cram 100 more passengers into here, easy."

GORGEOUS interior! So much better than the hospital or "institutional" vibe on those Nozomi !
Love the wood and the bamboo shades!

数年前、母と熊本旅行で初めて800系に乗りました。
内装が本当に美しく、感動した記憶を思い出しました。また乗りたいですね。
this video reminds me when i first visited hakata and komamuto, in 2019. theyre lovely!
Wonderful video, thank you Kuga. I noticed the use of wood, in all the seats and the bamboo shades. Fascinating.
I love Tsubame for the design both exterior and interior ultimately the inerior one. So artistic than other Shinkansen
I enjoyed d trip..am a senior citizen and have not gone out of d house often bcoz of the danger of covidvirus..find it enjoyable 2 just watch ur videos& see d beauty of trains in Japan
As usual very relaxing and entertaining, Thanks.
I absolutely love the Japanese styles in this Shinkansen. Tokaido Shinkansen should also design the cars and seats with Japanese styles.
The design of that train is so slick!
Ohhhhhh!!! Now that is a train!!! My goodness!!! ❤️🙏✌️💪 Thanks Mr. Kuga ❤️
Thank you. Lovely train and scenic views.
I like how the announcement is made in Japanese, English and Chinese. Very thoughtful.
What a beautiful train! 🚅 😻
Impressive, thanks for your videos 👍🏻
A classy shinkansen indeed. I love the way Kuga San add a fun fact about the places he has arrived at the end of the video.
Great experience! Thanks for sharing
It's so pretty inside!
It's up there with the Nankai Rapito

We boarded the Mizuho from Hakata - Kumamoto in 2019. Also spotted Seven Stars In Kyushu at Beppu. What an experience!
Nice video and a inspiration when i'll trip to Japan.
Awesome channel and greetings from Chile.

Amazing riding on the Shinkansen . Thanks for sharing.
I agree, the car is very attractive both inside and out. 👍😊
Wow enjoyed this video thanks for sharing.
A truly beautiful train.
🏴👍🏻❤️ A beautiful aesthetic. Thank you for your video.
Very fancy train indeed!
Very, very nice video!! Good photography ❤❤❤❤❤
You are the best PR agent for Japan !
I look at this beautiful train and the trains we have here in Ireland and laugh. Ireland is about a century behind Japan.
Japan also was massivly blown up and burned down by the B-29's and the US Navy and got to rebuild from scratch on US money. Ireland didn't.
Thank you for the video. Have a fabulous week!
Thank you for the video. Good to hear about the new Shinkansen to Nagasaki. I saw it under construction in 2017.
Thanks Kuga, very interesting. I still prefer the Hello Kitty Shinkansen, though!
Oh wow, they've really gone all out in the design with this one! I was blown away by it even though I'd just watched a video about perhaps the most luxurious train I've ever seen (do watch it: it's about the Rocky Mountaineer, in Canada, on the Downie Live channel)

Last time i was this early, the train hadn't left yet.
Thanks for sharing!
I love your channel ! greetings from a train driver in germany :)
That interior really is pretty.

Great travel. Paceful and delight. Good technology through beautiful landscape.
Woww magnificent video love the train 👏👏👏
That's a delightful train. I enjoyed that journey.
I really like your channel!!
I really enjoyed your travel experience it gives so relaxed and thoughtful process about japan! It's magical and you to kuga!
That train is aerodynamic as f***
I want to get over there and get on them again.
This time I will set an alarm.
Almost went right passed my stop, so good.
Lucky
Thank you for the video of the world’s most beautiful train.
It looks immaculate! 🥰
Thank you for another great video!
Not going to lie I love the sound of the Shinkansen's drive motors

Two years ago we drove this same track shinkansen is absolutely the best train in the world nothing can beat that luxury silent speed .... ichi ban
Thank you Kuga, very cool!
Am I the only one who doesn’t read the captions and enjoys just going along for the ride?
A stylish train 🚆🚆🚆
Great videos. Thank you sir
Great video as always!

Fantastic video 👍
Ahhh if only we had trains like these in Canada from Windsor to Quebec City ours look 20th Century
All of the luxury and noise of air travel without the concern of gravity unexpectedly ending your existence.
Beautiful, indeed!
Thanks so much for sharing this new video! Your explanation of meanings and sharing details of the train ride make it more interesting than some others! And the little Kumamoto black bear was very cute ! 😊👍 (Ok - maybe not so little 😂)
High speech train of Japan’s the Number one of Asia. I love its so much !!
My Sister and I are planning to come to Japan for the first time with our Aunt. Our grandmother was Japanese and we are going to try to visit our family there.
Thanks for the trip.
Great video. Thanks
I think the E7, N700N/S, E5, W7, E4, E6 and brand new Alpha X is the most beautiful shinkansens ever ✌️
i'd like to visit Kumamoto Castle and ride the 800 series, the use of wood in the Shinkansen is a nice touch
Soooo nice, quiet and relaxing. I'm afraid I would be so comfortable, I would fall asleep and miss the ride!
Hgbvv bc
@@novipentyl7288 Sorry, I have no idea what, 'Hgbvv bc' means.
Thank you for sharing :)
A payphone... Very quaint. 😉

I took this train to Kagoshima in the summer of 2016, there were still all the signs of the earthquake...
This is one of my favourite shinkansen train either, since it's elegant interior design will makes you feels like it is a Daimyo's Sedan Chair (but in a shinkansen)🤣
Kumamoto, the land of the hills and the grottos.
JR Kyushu does have some really amazing rolling stocks in all of Japan
I actually saw a couple of other people on the train with you! I'm still amazed how empty most of these trains are in your videos. Where is everyone?
Elegant design.
Very nice!
Very Interesting.
I ❤ japan🇯🇵
