Thanks man! Worked on a VX570! Saved the hassle of our processor refusing to help us because ours is "End of Life" I also heard you offer help even those who aren't a client of yours and because of this I am actually going to have the higher up management see about switching to you guys for processing if you can beat our current rates. Its a Ma and Pop small business however were a apart/member of a company who represents our industry so we have benefits of having "national contracts" even though were just one little small business. This is great info. Thanks! Do you happen to know if there's a way to increase the font size using a similar parameter? Several of my merchants have complained about the tiny font that is used as a default.

In addition to the change in the video. Changing the column mode from 42 line to 32 line makes the font more legible.

You have to go back ino the Group 1 settings and delete the *dark value

where it says to put in *DARK it won't let me put letters ...when I hit the number 3 (DEF) it just goes in at 3 no letters

Hit "3" on the keypad then the Middle "alpha" key to change to Alpha characters.

What about when it isn't printing all the words or numbers. When it prints it fades in and out from left to right. Any guidance?

The printer is most likely going bad, only choice to to replace the whole machine. They are not serviceable.

Most likely your processor has locked the machine. You must call them to get the password

while in the operating system, you can really mess things up. But also changing the print darkness can accelerate the wear on the printer

If you really want it to be dark , put the value at 8

That will in fact darken it, but anything more than factory setting even at "4" shortens the life of the print head.

Most likely your Processor has locked your terminal.
