    thank you so much for all this information. We have started the transition to fresh food. We have opted to go the cooked food route. Can you please tell me if I am suppose to weigh the food before cooking or after cooking. I did an experiment today. I did chicken, carrots and green beans. Raw they weighed 488gr, cooked they weighed 348 gr.

      maybe it's because you're combining both fresh home-cooked food with dry dog food or you're not able to portion both correctly leading to overfeeding, either way, the calories are obviously way off in your dog's diet. Cut out the dry dog food and see if she loses weight eventually

    Im from the US and I have an 11 pound Chihuahua she looks overweight. I did your chart and she comes in at 3 percent and it says 4.8 ounces. So does that mean she has to eat 4.8 ounces of food a day in total? Im having an issue on determining how many meals she should eat a day. 1 or 3 meals a day? And with the recipe, is that for a week's worth of food. Say I make two pounds of food and freeze a pound. Is the other pound left for meals for 5 days?

    What's disappointing about this is, it's advertised as being cheaper than buying these bad processd foods, but in reality for my 35kg dog thats only going to get bigger, that couldnt be further from the truth. Going off the measurement table and a recipe, I will be spending around £10+ per day. I was really looking forward to starting this, but this is more costly in a week than for me and my parenters food combined. Am I doing the math wrong or something ?

    • @user-jz4vs2ee4u

      I give my dog fresh raw meet from a pet store which costs me 2.60 per 1kg, adding the veggies, eggs, fish (sardines in water are sooo cheap) and fruit it shouldn't cost you 10 per day at all!

    • @fernandacapaceta
      @fernandacapaceta 10 месяцев назад

      If you are buying little by little then yeah it’s more expensive, but if you buy bigger quantities and freeze it could be cheaper, also don’t buy every expensive thing, most things are really cheap, if you go to a meat or chicken store everything will be SO cheap. You can buy every now and then turkey or expensive treats, but I wouldn’t use it every day, that can turn into a big buck 😅

    I have been slowly making my dogs 100% carnivore. They get 1 pound of raw meat every other day. Chicken thigh boneless, chicken liver,ground beef, and one sardine. On the other days, they get 1 cup of kibble, beef broth, chicken drumstick, and fish. Soon, they will no longer get kibble. Im a carnivore, so my dog's should be too for a healthy lifestyle. No vegetables no grains. Only animal made products ❤ Both my dog's arnt very active. One only has 3 working legs plus cancer and the other one is full of arthritis and over weight. Miko is 9 years old and her weight is 55 pounds. Ivey is 12 and 75 pounds. Miko is at a great weight. Ivey should be 55 to 60 pounds. They only get one meal a day.😁
