You know what I loved about this? So many of these “desk” or “office” setups are done by some wealthy “under 30 year old” you tuber. They all honestly the exact same thing. Every one of these uses the mahogany wood and the exact same products. Yours was different. It was unique… obviously, you cared more about how the space works for YOU… vs loading the space up with LEDs and Grovemade peripherals. Nice job. As a 50 year old guy… I enjoyed the REALISTIC approach to your use and presentation.
When you grow older , you realise , your wife wont give you a room in the main house , so as we all must find newer spaces . like the attic and the basement or the garage to build our lil man cave , 'The Space that works for us '
Finally a real setup and not some copy and paste gaming setup. Love this room, I could get some work done here and feel comfortable. My favorite setup I've seen on RUclips and I've seen a lot of them. Well done!
What I loved about this video is that it is realistic in terms of cost (with the camera exceptions lol). As a Solution Architect in the IT industry, I love it!
Great video. Love the space. A man after my own heart. Reading/ Gaming/ Legos/ Naps/ Journaling. I have a family room that just might work. Thanks for inspiring me to do this!
If no one said it by now, kudos for losing weight. You look healthier, much more put together and overall just much better. Your room is inspiring to say the least. Although I am sure your audience is predominately male, I’ll subscribe, why not?
I’ve been on a productivity kick and the algorithm did not disappoint. I agree on the journaling area - I’m trying to configure my creative station with an always available and open space for when in need to create.
We are both dads in the bay, are in tech, like gadgets, I play bass, first person shooters and am envious of your space. I am gonna make one for myself now that I am back to corporate life and it’s inevitable that we are gonna be friends 😂
I was wondering if you would upload an updated setup video since your garage conversion video and here it is! And honestly even better than I expected. I discovered you a few days ago and have binged almost all your videos (I have a baby so it's as much of a binge as I can manage). I'm probably not your expected audience for your content but as someone who is very into EDC, watches, gear, and is gearing up to go back to the workforce soon it's nice to see someone with EDC that takes into account packing things for the kids. Looking forward to all your future videos!
Thanks for watching so much of my content and I’m glad you relate to it. Babies are a lot of work. Sleep when they sleep. And white knuckle it. Both the best time and toughest time all at once. You got this 💪🏼
Fantastic video - clean and informative. Thank you. The section I personally struggle with is a reading space - I flip between separating my office workspaces from my books/library reading - and then merging them again. I dont have it right yet. I find that if you dont reduce friction (and distraction) reading time tends to go down super quickly.
Looks like a perfect man’s cave! I also use PreSonus speakers, the mouse, iMac Mini 2 Pro and I keep my keyboard next to my desk to chill. Thanks for the inspiration.
Not only have i got some ideas for my workspace ive also got some work flow ideas for my day. Very similar to you with working in tech and music as a hobby!
Enjoyed the video! Thank you so much, Marcus! Let's to be honest, we all love our family, kids and friends, but...every man needs such space!!! This is the men's territory! And... you are from Ireland! The country I am dreaming to visit!
Oh how I wish I’d had this advice months ago when I had to set up a permanent work-from-home desk. I have a long L-shaped desk but I don’t have zones - that’s a great idea! I used to have a relaxation zone and might revisit that as well. Loads to think about, thank you!
You’ve given me so many ideas! I’ve been binging office setup videos because I’m doing an update of my space and I have to agree with the other commenters that yours is one of the few that’s outside of the box. I really think you’re onto something with the stations. I realized a while ago if I had to bring my laptop downstairs and hook it up to my headset, I played so much less VR than if I had a computer that I left there. I told myself it wasn’t necessary since it only takes a minute but I just found myself doing it a lot less (I use VR games like Beat Saber as a workout, so that’s a negative for me lol) I think I need to incorporate that into my other spaces as well and make some stations. Thanks!! I’ll definitely check out your other videos 😊
I have discovery you 2 days algo and you have already made me a new dream, to have a place like that in my country house. I would love to know your productivity setup, Chrome extensions any recomendations for working apps.
Welcome aboard! That’s a great idea. I use a lot of tools through-out the day as well as a neat trick I use to help me with procrastination. You’ve got me thinking 🤔
Not gonna lie, your room is very clean and oriented. Especially I like the music setup, I like musics as well too. Maybe I can't have so much, but I'll build one on a smaller scale soon too. This will literally help me.
It is the first time I see your channel, by far you deliver exceptional quality, the technology you use is great, everything in its place, in a functional and creative way, I congratulate you, you are very good. A space like this is a dream that I hope to achieve. Keep it up.
Impressive setup - I will take it as inspiration for my next room as I am going to move in the next months. What I noticed is that it is quite hard to work and play on the same desk, thats what I want to change for sure in the future to have a dedicated work and productivity area and gaming / freetime area next to it on another part of the desk.
Uniball is a solid go to pen. My go to fountain pen most of the time is Lamy 2000. If I’m going to be writing a lot, I also appreciate the Pilot 823 which has a substantial ink capacity (also my go to for airplanes). A good EDC pen to clip to your shirt or to slide into a pocket is Pilot Vanishing Point. I think my go to ink is Sailor Jentle Yama Dori. But for legal documents it’s hard to beat Noodler’s Black.
I haven’t put much time nor thought into ink to be honest. I’ve always just bought the ink the manufacturer recommends. I’ll have to put a little time into it and figure out what works for me.
So nice to see that this is not the usual "see how many things I bought for my setup (Links in description)" video. Nice room you've built yourself there!
Thanks! It’s hard to balance actually showing the tech without it feeling like a sales call. 😂. I love the space. Makes me more productive than I’ve ever been before.
Dude such a cool space. I have a 8x12 exterior office (converted from a shed). Now you’ve got me thinking how I can make the most of it in new ways. Keep the great content coming!
I found your Video trough a coincidence and i must say such a great setup. No unnecessary expensive Stuff und unneeded Stuff looks like a real workspace.
I love this setup. It looks like a creatively crafted, very efficient space that is designed with specific goals in mind. Love the frictionless approach to filming videos. This video got my brain going about my own space. Thanks for sharing! :)
Productivity is all about removing by friction and I go out of my way to reduce it where possible. Glad you liked the video and thanks for the positivity. 👍🏻
Thanks buddy. Appreciate all the support. The white drawer behind me is a Husky Tool drawer. I use it to lock away my valuables and keep all my EDC organized. Would you be interested in a video on it?
Have gotten some great inspiration from this - thanks for sharing! Have you found having your main workstation in a 90° corner to be comfortable for your hands/keyboard? I'm making plans for a new desk/office, and having my workstation in the corner is by far the best place... but I worry about not having a straight edge for my hands/arms to rest on.
I’ve been very comfortable. I’ve got a new chair on the way after 5 years with the one I currently use. I may have to switch things up a bit when that arrives.
i love the space. having separate areas so you can immediately start on a project helps so much in actually starting them. i also noticed how you sneakily tried to avoid the xbox vs playstation debate by saying xbox while showing ps games, smart ;)
Consider swapping out the big money 15-35 lens with a RF Prime 16mm 1.8. The bokeh is actually better and the lens is only $300. You have built an awesome man cave out of a very small space! Great job!
Awesome space and video! I can totally relate. It's also very realistic because I have multiple hobbies, very little space, and very little time. I'm also into playing music, listening to music, Legos, comics, sports card, TCG cards, board games, nostalgic toys from my childhood, etc. What are in your 20 favorite records?
Love the setup, similar to mine. Game station, vinyl area, desk for work and projects, music area, similar colors. You do more with yours though and its further along, so taking some inspiration from your video and subscribing to the channel.

Thanks for the video. Our office will never be like yours but I watched it right after my once a year effort to clean up the wreck of my office. As to the computer in it, I was the idiots that bought a 2019 cheese grater, Mac Pro, six months before Apple Silicon. so next year I hope to replace it with a M3 ultra Mac studio and that will be the time when I will get my ridiculously messy desk set up. I just went through your profile (as a new subscriber) looking for a tour on your office area after your pen video, thinking it looked so cool and well organized. I was a bit disappointed when I couldn’t find that video, but…here it is! Excellent videos!
Love this setup. Great video and advice. What eye glass frame is that. I really like it. Warby? Did you get the prescription via them or ur normal eye center.
A big thumps up for the YT algorithm to reccomend me this video. I‘m basically working fully remote (also in IT) and - as you do - have a plethora of hobbies and use cases I need to cover. To go ahead and really dedicate a section of your place for a activity really makes sense. Do you happen to have some plans or measurements laying around? What a lovely room with such good energy! I enjoyed the "tour", thank you! I'm contemplating either a Mac Mini or a Mac Studio. You mentioned you upgraded from the Mini to the Studio, and I was curious what wasn't working for you with the Mini!
Hi Marcus, nice Video. this was actually a requested video from me, so that you can get to know the whole room better. very inspiring what you can do with the size. Thanks! Greetings from Germany Marcus

The best "man cave" I've seen so far. Congrats - it's great, considering the space available.
Thanks buddy. Definitely turned a storage space into a livable one. I spend most of my waking hours in here so might as well make it nice 😂

What a fantastic space!

Have you tried using a Magic Eraser on your computer mouse? Seems like that would work.
I bought one yesterday when I read this comment and…it worked. It’s like new now. Thank you 🙏
What a lovely room with such good energy! I enjoyed the "tour", thank you! I'm contemplating either a Mac Mini or a Mac Studio. You mentioned you upgraded from the Mini to the Studio, and I was curious what wasn't working for you with the Mini!
Hi Marcus,
nice Video. this was actually a requested video from me, so that you can get to know the whole room better. very inspiring what you can do with the size.
Thanks!

@@MarcusCreates you welcome. positive side effect, i now need more english at work again and with your videos i understand everything very clearly (ok some words maybe not always but 98%), now only the practical speaking is missing again.
Greetings
