As soon as I saw you got the mini-skid, I thought an MS-324 would be perfect!!! Glad to see one showed up.
Thanks James!
Congratulations Jake, Definitely need to protect that cylinder just waiting to be bent👏🤘🏻🪵🇺🇸
I thought the same thing. Probably not as necessary on a mini skid but on a tractor or full size skid I could see accidentally bumping it.
For sure! Hopefully they come out with something!
A nice little gift from Andrew . After watching His premiere video it looks to be much more effective on an excavator but will still function on a skid steer. Looks like you were having fun. Another great addition to the wood yard. You guys are the perfect choice to show off Eastonmade’s latest splitter.
Cheers Woody !!!
Thanks Woody! I agree an excavator would be ideal, but I’ll take it! It was a lot of fun to run
Looks great guys. That oak was huge!!!
Thanks Andrew!
Great design Andrew….! Yay for the orange 🧡 and blue 💙…!!!
That big round you split is Scheib sized wood. Congratulations on the new accessory. Great product demo video 👍
Haha it sure is
I love that red and white sticker on the new splitter. Nothing but the best.
PSI is the tonnage and gpm is the speed! Good video gentleman.
Thanks Josh!
So happy for you all. Great work Andrew Easton and team.
Thanks
Great demonstration of the splitter! No machine is perfect. But you showed what it is actually made for. Easton Made will be honored!!! Shannon.
Thanks!
Guys, that is going to be a very handy edition to the wood yard. Great job guys
hi there good and handy tool , i use something like that juat to get the big ones down to a manageable size , good show john
Thanks John can’t wait to use it more
You nailed it! Great addition to your wood lot and business. Andrew's Eastonmade products are awesome. Some inputs to improve it will probably be in the future if follow the same as Eastonmade has been doing.
Oh boy I guess that right! As soon as Bom-o-lite sponsored you and Andrew made that new attachment 🤯 Your the Man for Andrew's master plan.
Haha thanks Ron
Man you guess get to play with all the Cool tools!!! Looking forward to seeing y'all use it quite a bit!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David! Really looking forward to using this one more!
A bit of box section or deep channel under the ram wouldn’t go amiss , just for protection, but its nice useful splitter. All the best from England.
“Machine” 😂😂😂 I hope he catches that!!
Congrats!
lol me too!
Awesome addition to the woodyard! I figured it was coming your way when Andrew did his videos on it. - Tim
Thank you Tim!
Hey Jake! With this new splitter there's almost no size round you can't split!! What a useful tool for you and Chris!!
I agree! Bring on the big stuff!
Wow! That MS324 horizontal “axis” surely turned that monster oak round on its ear….!! Great demo guys and kudos to Andrew and his team….!!!
Yep made quick work of it!
Ok,so now I'm officially jealous. Everytime my mate and I are manhandling 40inch black mountain beech onto the splitting table I'll think of your new gizmo. Cheersfrom HB NZ.
Definitely makes the job easier!
Hey Jake and Chris. The MS 324 looks like it will work very well with the large rounds. Andrew needs to figure out some thing to protect the cylinder. Thanks for the demo. I do know it’s first time out with it. So Jake , from where you stand on your mini can you see the cylinder in clear view. The operator as he gets used to the splitter may just have to be on guard on the left side. It would great if Eastonmade could come up with a plat heavy enough to protect the cylinder and the hydralics. It would be super helpful to have a plat to push rounds on that left side. Take care guys. Al Club Dora
I really think the cylinder needs some sort of protection, it has great visibility on the mini but a little more protection can’t hurt!
Wow!! What a tool!! Don't think there's much that can't handle!
With a little finesse it pops open even the gnarliest pieces!
Very cool unit! Totally agree, box that cylinder in! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah it needs protection!
Speechless……stay at it
That giant oak is what my buddy George splits every day...I think he needs one of these splitters for his tractor
George needs one
I knew it wouldn’t take long for you to get it!😊 That was a really big set of rounds you tackled. Definitely going to be worth it for stuff that big. Good first run guys!
Haha thanks!
Hello Jake and Chris. That MS 324 will work out great with those bigger rounds for both of you. Andrew did and excellent job building a machine like this. Great Video. Take Care
Hey Deb, yes I think it’s going to work great for larger stuff! Thanks for watching!
Very awesome Jake. Great demo
Thanks buddy!
Wicked cool
Really cool and handy tool to add to the inventory. Agree 100% that it will make some jobs easier. Aside from what you already pointed out, one drawback I can see is maneuvering it through clients fences or back/side yards. Probably not a showstopper but like you said, banging that cylinder too hard could make for a very bad day…
Yep it’s wide but could always chain it to the loader and drive in parallel if need be
I get a lot of big oak & maple rounds that I end up ripping down with the saw to make them manageable. Bring that up to Danbury, ill have plenty of big stuff to split lol
Very cool!
This type of splitter whether for a mini-skid steer or other seems like it could allow certain producers to stick with their smaller commercial splitters that don't have a log lift for awhile longer. I like the idea of offering the service to the arborist customers that want to keep their firewood as well. On a separate note, would you mind sharing product information on the drone you are using for content creations on the channel? Thanks in advance guys!
DJI Mini Pro 4 amzn.to/3TrWFL0
“We used to have to tell our tree guy we couldn’t take those type of logs” How is it a tree service guy has a tree guy and I can’t get a call back 😂 my mans FLUSH with free wood. Sending jealousy from NC! Great video
lol it’s too easy around here
Perfect. I saw that on Andrews channel. Glad you got it. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it in the future.
Thanks, looking forward to using it a lot more
I'm liking this. I'd like to see one for my compact tractor !
They will be available!
Nice toy and it's nice to see Chris smiling so much, can't be that serious...lol
He does smile every once in a while
Like I commented to Andrew when he had demo it in his site when he has it for compact tractors I’m sure that it will be a hit. I’m interested for sure. Nice job guys! Regards
I’d like to try it on my tractor
I want one!
Nice machine I was getting concerned a few times if it would split the wood but when you re position it went right through sure beats swinging a maul and doing it by hand
That’s for sure
I like it! KC Don 😉
Watch out for the flange mounted cylinder. You won't push rounds around with it for long.
Yep it needs protection
Along with your comment about a guard for the cylinder, looks like the splitting wedge is taller than the two support plates. Could see that getting bent if you’re pushing rounds around. Also scraping along the ground for someone splitting on concrete or asphalt.
Valid observation!
ordered one today trying to figure out how to modify a way to protect the cylinder and fittings other than that looks like a great machine.
Hey Jake how are you doing I'm good great video
Hey Jake, great video now if you could pick the large piece up, put it over your dump trailer split it into the back of your dump trailer then back it up to the splitter you would not have to do any lifting and save your back
Very true!
The Skid Steer Attachment is a Good investment, it's Cheaper then the Easton Made Axis,
Sure is
Agreed on hydronic could use a little protection. Nice shootout to Kyle the machine
Machine!
If you watch outdoors with the Morgan’s he has one for his excavator. He set them up in a row to make it easier.
Yep I’ve seen his
Very nice. I wonder how it would do on smaller tractor. Mine has a psi 1900 think I might turn up to 21 22.
Should work just fine on a tractor, just might be a little slower
Mike Morgan from outdoors with the Morgan’s , has one on his excavator
I think your sticker is crooked lol. That thing should be pretty popular I’d think.
No way looks perfect from here!
I would like to see how well you can see the log when you use it on a compact tractor
I’d like to get an adapter plate to be able to use it on my tractor too
Sure beats noodling large rounds.
For sure!
Thought that was great. Only bad thing for me, I don't have a mini skidsteer. At least not yet.
Can mount on a tractor too!
Have you ever considered putting you log rounds on a table or a conveyor so you don’t have to use the log lift every time? Would it save you any time?
Yes I have but it would get in the way of other operations and you’d have to spend time loading it with individual rounds. If they made a “cutting live deck” that would work well to feed right onto the log lift
@@DudeRanchDIY I was thinking you could split right on top of the table and if there were a couple of you working you might keep up to feed the smaller splitter.
Mike Morgan has a splitter for his excavator that splits on both strokes I think its a split force not sure but splitting both ways is kinda cool the ram on that one looks vulnerable but I understand its the first one made by Andrew so he will be looking for feedback
Yep I’ve seen mikes, I agree the cylinder needs protection
It’s not the flow that dictates how much force the splinter has it the pressure that the system has. Also ther3 are plenty of splitters that go on an excavator you can see one on Outdoors with the Morgan’s
Keep up the good work
I’ve seen mikes, you need flow and pressure to achieve speed and power
Do you thing the ram is under sized ???
No, if it were bigger it would be much slower
Now adapt it to your excavator then you'll have a firewood killer, better than a processor think of the versatility you will have.
That’s what I’m thinking…
What happened to the Blue and Orange Eastonmade paint scheme?
Not sure where the blue went on this one, it is their prototype so I imagine paint scheme wasn’t highest on the priority list
It looks to me like it needs the cage to extend to the end of the hydraulic cylinder.
Yep a shroud to protect the cylinder
awful lot of fartin around. just run em thru the big boy
Clearly your missing the point
clearly you didn't pay attention in grade school.
we split rounds that size all the time- just roll em onto the lift and be done with it. way less jackin around
We didn’t learn to split wood with log splitters in grade school, but I’m jealous your school had that class.
the mini skid needs a push blade. just found your channel, loving it!
Thanks for checking it out!
