      @@dieselpower718 Actually Wheelin and Drivin anything comes natural to me. Im a Truck Driver and I've been around equpitment trucks cars my whole life Its not rocket science common sense and knowing your equpitment inside and out. He should've fiqured it out after the first few obstacles.

      Lane AWD they run through the desert at 120+ and can still crawl good, but the solid axle buggies typically get through crawling sections better, were as the independent buggies run the open desert better, also 1 tons would be a lot cheaper than building an independent suspension that’s strong enough to handle rock crawling

      Nah that's why you have friends there, hook it up and get pulled out, or rig it the best you can if you can and limp it out.. off roading ppl are always willing to lend a hand however they can, or in my experience they have.

      @@cornbreadfoutch6565 Ive heard and seen some inventive repairs on the trail. welding with leads coming off the alternator, pulling a spark plug using the engine to air up a tire. pulling the rear driveline and limping it out in front wheel drive

    Notice the Jeeps with flat looking tires creeping over everything? It's called rock crawling not rock racing. Air down your tires........a LOT. 4LOW, go slow.
    an old-timer told me a long time ago if you've never rolled a tire off the bead you are running too much air :-) 4low=crawling=slow=less breakage

      The blazer is obviously his beater ride for chopping parts off of it, jumping to fold fenders, and now maybe to take thrashing on the trail. The jeep would be a better trail vehicle. If he likes it and wants to do it more he should probably go that route.

      My dad had on old 80 with 1 tons front and rear and 40” swampers, thing was badass, now he has a YJ fully built cage, 1 tons, 42s” bfg crawlers, got the old dodge Cummins sitting up on some 35s it’s relatively capable for what it is. But anyways those landcruisers are extremely rare here in the US as a matter of fact I believe my dads is the only one I’ve ever seen in person lol

    Airing down your tires a bit would help a lot with traction and smooth out the ride. Also use four low...

    Doing the old bowtie proud. Lived in PA all my life and I'm 50 now. I know where you guys are and yes the camera doesn't do it justice. Making me miss my beastly 1975 4x4 Suburban with a 454!! Gigantic beast for sure. If it could fit, it was going through. My brother had a mint 1980's full size Jimmy with a 6" lift and offroad tires, dual exhaust etc. and it was a manual shift! They don't build them like those anymore.

      @@jakes5506 Where at? I lucked out and picked up an already lifted 93 xj with 130k mi for $2600 and a bottle of jack. Also, its an Arizona jeep, so no rust! You just gotta keep your eyes peeled. Facebook marketplace has a surprising number of jeeps.

    WELD THE FRONT AND REAR DIFF. SINCE U TRAILER IT ANYWASE and use 4Low for that kinda trail.

      I don't think that would help as gm axles from this time have internals made of hardened steel which can't exactly be welded together.

      @@brayannexon4613 pretty funny I have the same year suburban at home with a 4 inch lift on 42 inch tires I super cut the body it's got the stock IFS front axle that I have welded together 3 years ago it been to king of the hammers 3 years in a row I have never had a break

    Wow! Watched you since the stingray and bought one. Went to a 13 GT500 than a 13 ZL1. Now I have a 17 Jeep Rubicon Recon with a 4 inch lift and 37s. Watch every video no matter what. Loving this new content. Love it Mike! Just wanted to share a little of my personal progress with your videos!

    I was one of the black trail guides for this event. Love hearing your excitement as a first time wheeler. Makes me remember my first trip up. same fears at same spots on trails that i don’t even now think of and just roll through. .
