Thank YOU For backing us and being a part of what we’re doing! None of it happens without you. Huge congrats on Dicking-down all the competition this week 😂
Tony always grabbing wood.... Freakin hilarious... Great job on the clutch build. I'm very excited about the top end build video coming up.. I noticed there were a few blanks on the cvs, so I went in to the site and yup one was me forgot to fill out name and phone lol good thing I caught before the actual drawing for the bike that would suck. Another awesome video guys, you both rock.
By the handful! 😆 we’re stoked. You liked the video and definitely looking forward to finishing this thing off once and for all! Great work checking in on your info as well. Pretty sure that happened because we had some OG like yourself sign up under one method, then changed the sign-up method to be associated with each bike on the website instead. Definitely would have still counted you in with your email and just verified everything! (in case anyone is wondering!) Thanks for watching, we appreciate you and your support! -Charles
Our buddy Jon at 2SM (that machined) and Matt (who helped us with the OEM scan) combined crushed it. Super cool to take from idea to part! Let me tell ya if I feel a bolt needs it, it doesn’t stand a chance at coming out… Tony // MXSS
Thank you for watching. There’s always a level of self imposed fear (which is a good thing, makes you push to not fail), but also an eagerness in learning HOW to do it. Don’t let being afraid of trying stop you. Harness it. Mistakes will come, just don’t encourage those to happen with carelessness. Let me tell ya, a little Tony Tale, I was quite nervous of the first engine I ever built myself, on a folding table, in my dad’s shop. It was 2003 (I was fresh out of MMI) and it was my first season as a race mechanic. I was back in Minnesota for the Minneapolis SX. We had a weekend off so it was time to do it. I goofed up on transmission assembly and flipped a washer. Assembled it and installed in bike…. It didn’t shift to third! Ugh, right?! I had to pull it and start over. Sorted out the transmission washers and BENCH TESTED shifting and it was good. Fun fact. We didn’t have resources then like now. I had to go to the dealership to look at the actual fiche for the transmission, lol. Afterwards I had to hand the bike over to my rider and be sure it was good. I was nervous for sure. All went well. I attribute that to believing all my riders we’re trusting me with their lives. That weighs heavy for sure, but on the flip of the pressures, it guided me to become a great race mechanic and Mx bike builder. And now I’ve built too many engines and bikes to count. Throw some sh!t at the wall. One is going to stick eventually. Keep at it! Tony // MXSS
😅 thanks dude! We appreciate you being a part of the f*ckery! There was some pretty brutal stuff that didn’t make it into the edit this time but boy it was hilarious when we were editing.
Very informative clutch assembly vid boys! Just did a wiseco one on my 125 Honda last year. Works like butter now. Omg the shake weight hahahahah. Funny story for ya… I went on a double date one time about 15 years ago. We walked into Applebee’s, and as the waitress was getting our table ready the shake weight came on TV over the bar. At that point one of the other waitresses yelled over to our waitress and said oh my god look I’m bringing that to Stacy’s bachelorette party. Hahahahahahahaha I lost it and couldn’t stop laughing ! Hope all is well guys and untill next week. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t and if you do name it after me. lol
Ah dino mike`s morning session watching some Uncle T & Chuck working some magic while studying! Used rubbers, sure not dirty uncle lurking somewhere? 😭🤣!!
Hey Uncle Tony, you should be wearing a full face shield when playing with the angle grinder...you don't want to chance damage to that sweet soul patch!!!
(To the tune of, "Black Betty") Whoa old black rubbers bam-ba-lam, whoa old black rubbers bam-ba-lam! Damned things gonna make you cry, sniffin' them things gonna make you high.... bam-ba-laaaaam! OK that was dumb, but it's early and that's all I got right now.... 😉
@@MXSkillShack thanks for replying. The mechanic in these videos is top shelf. I like that he goes that extra pedantic mile on the small details that others just throw together. That's how I do things to so he's the man to learn from. Like facing his washers on the transmission build. Keep it up you guys do a top job.
Thanks for the kind words Tony. My name is also Tony (referred to as Uncle Tony from time to time). I appreciate the feedback. I’m a bit OCD, kind of a freak, and greatly appreciate details. @@MXSkillShack I've been told the name Tony means teacher. A lot of us Tony's seem to get called uncle Tony.. I think it's because we help a lot of people, we freely drop knowledge and share our wisdom. We ourselves sink ourselves deep into learning new things. I'm 50 I just bought my 4th dirt bike this year and intend doing all my own work. That's why I'm here to learn. Apart from the ty250 they are all fresh builds. I intend to keep them that way. @@MXSkillShack No seriously. I've been staring at my powder coated frame with everything ready to be assembled for over a year. 89 YZ250, Eric Gorr top end. Finish Line crank rebuild. New Plastic, billet clutch basket, vapor blasted blah, blah, blah. I'm a scared little wussy. Its cooling off in Texas and its time to put on my scuba gear and DIVE IN. You guys inspire me!

Nice Hinson clutch walk-thru. I love the old 2-strokes! Thanks for drawing my name and the Works stuff!!! -Dick

To learn how to build an engine is to encounter mistakes of building it, easiest to remember what not to do
No better lesson than error sometimes! So incredibly true. Tools in hand are definitely where the real lessons take place. Great knowledge drop…🫵

Much appreciated Don! Thank you.

Get a milling end to put in that drill press. Don’t need the punch for centering.
That’s a solid tip. I’ll look into it. Thank you! I’ve never had bits walk as much as they did on this YZ basket. It was a bugger.

Reckon they do a clutch for a 1991 ty250 pinky trials bike? Trying to restore it. Hard to find bits in Australia.
I don't believe they will for that model unfortunately.
