HELL YEAH BROTHER!! 💪🏽 This video had me grinning the whole time, so stoked to see the shopping cart out and about again and running on a Fuel Tech which makes it even more epic. Well done guys, this was one epic video to sit and watch after a long day's work
I just finished building a b20vtec turbo would you be kind enough to hook me up with a free fuel tech setup for my car it’s been sitting for months id love to see what your product can do for my build thank you would greatly appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏
Hit up the Carsandcameras guys here on RUclips and give them a FuelTech for their dragster. They're doing a blowthrough turbo setup now and they need better control fir sure.

Low HP stuff is always a blast. As long as it can spin the tires your in for a good time. I had (wish I still did) an '83 Corolla with rear wheel drive, a little grass or dirt and it would drift endlessly.

OG Style True Boosted Bois video right here👍 2 dudes tuning away on a boosted death trap, then absolutely rippin it and shootin some flames. GOTTA LOVE IT 👌
Friggin awesome BOIZ!! Such a fun video of you guys just bangin' around in a little shopping go-kart 🛍 😀!! This video should go viral if you share it on multiple outlets!! I was intrigued the whole video boiz! Thanks for the content!!! Lmfao
You guys should get one of those heavy duty server fans and build a shroud around the cylinder head and make in a forced air-cooled engine or just get the replacement cylinder that turns it into a water cold engine but turning it into a forced air cool engine is cheaper
A cool thing about having chain drive you can swap out sprockets and change your gearing. Especially with the jackshaft set up you can get monster torque.
I wish Cars and Cameras would do this to their mini dragster. Great job with this. I subbed when you were building this. Your channel has come a long ways yet still has its original feel.
We need a shopping cart Dyno day!!!!!!! Also I would paint and clean up everything but the actual shopping cart part of it, like the cage area. That just makes it more funny.
Dang boiz!! I see you with the maximum boost on the little shopping cart!! Y’all are now truly the real boosted boiz!! Goes to show you can put a turbski on anything!!
So happy to see this again!! 🥰🥰🥰. This is the reason I sub'ed all them years ago but love what y'all have done on all the other build. However I'd need one of them bigger Sam's Club carts to fit in it myself. 😂
Hey for PVC drifting, if you can add a system to drip some water under the wheeles, you'll reduce the friction, makes them slide better, last longer, stick to the tyres better. Noriyaro did a few videos on that !
To put a spin on Wyatts trailer idea, get or build a slammed Radio flyer wagon to pull behind the shopping cart, with another racing seat and a promod style hoop around it......just in case
Dude putting a fuel tech on a single cylinder or twin cylinder set up like a banshee or something makes them run so good and is super easy to tune id love to see a Honda TRX400 or 450R motor or a Banshee motor
As for the cart not wanting to idle or run at lower throttle inputs it's because it's getting such a massive fuel delivery at idle because of the base fuel pressure and the injector duty cycle being so high that the engine cannot provide enough air to get the stoic mixture correct so it tends to bog out. I would recommend doing a dual stage fuel injector system with a smaller one before it to control the card at lower RPM and lower throttle inputs then use the existing fuel system for in boost
@@thorvonfalin9975 other than running a power line and signal line from the ECU to an injector, (which there's already a perfect place for the second injector directly on the intake where there's already a blocked off place for it). Would probably take about an hour to do the mechanical setup. as for the tuning Wyatt is pretty familiar with multi-stage injection systems so set up would be pretty easy.
@@thorvonfalin9975 because the fuel pressure is so high the injector is having trouble metering such a small amount of fuel for idling this is why a second smaller injector is optimal. Set base pressure on the new injector at around 38 to 45 PSI.
Please, this is one of my favorite builds. Please, please stay on this for a while. would love to see you, build the bottom end of this thing, Port the heads. improve tune in a little bit more and then race cars and cameras.
Bro that 2 step was everything 😂 🔥 never thought I would of seen this! You gotta bring it to a car show bro or a 2 step battle, this thing is absolutely sick! Time to really put it on e85 and put a bigger injector on it and make some power! I'd even throw that thing on the dyno for the heck of it lol

21:05 im going to look back when im older and say this is were you guys peaked😂never did i think i would ever see a turbo shopping kart 2-stepping and shooting flames
I saw someone mention adding an intercooler here in the comments and I was like yeah! An intercooler would definitely help, then after a bit of thought couldn't you technically size an intercooler to have right around the same volume as your "boost capacitor" and just ditch that while the intercooler pulls double duty?
You really don't want to replace the accumulator with an intercooler unless it's a really expensive bar and plate style with large and thick end tanks. Both are acceptable, but if you only run one then it needs to be the accumulator. The pressure sensor on the fuel tech isn't capable of reading the peak pressures due to a number of factors [Sample rate, distance from pressure source, size of feed line, feed line material, etc.], but if it was they would see the transient pressure spikes are way higher than 13 psi. When the valve closes on the engine it sends a high pressure wave back into the accumulator and if that isn't dampened it would blow out a cheap tube and fin intercooler very fast. It could also destroy the impeller - way worse than boost surge.
@@theatomproject007 why would the valves closing on a go kart engine cause any higher pressure spikes than the valves on an engine in a car? Also, when you say "significantly higher than 13psi" how high are we talking because even doubling that psi a half ass decent intercooler should handle sub 30psi intermittent pulses. Not to mention an accumulator is nothing more than a chamber for storing pressurized air, and an intercooler is......well a chamber for storing air.
[Exercise in engineering tangent and not a bash of the Shopping Kart or FuelTech's products] There really is no intake manifold on this engine so there is no means to dampen the pressure wave created when the valve closes. This is primarily why the accumulator is necessary. With a car engine the pressure waves from the valves closing [essentially the Joukowsky water hammer effect] are dampened by the intake manifold as a function of the intake volume, diameter and length of the runners. This is also a factor with the exhaust system, but because it involves more heat the parts associated are made much thicker. However tubular manifolds often crack and while people like to say it's just from heat or crappy welding it's actually partially due to high transient pressure spikes that can be around 100 times the observed static pressure. Accumulators are used in all sorts of industrial applications based on the Joukowsky equation, it's just not that common to be discussed in automotive tech unless you are getting into engine design theory. No doubt that the volume of an intercooler can handle the duties of an accumulator [especially for this small of an engine {~3x displacement}], but it should use cast end tanks and be the bar and plate style over the tube and fin style, otherwise there is a high possibility that the welds can fatigue/fail and deform the tubes that the charge air is traveling through. Industry practice is to static pressure test intercoolers from 1.5x to 2.5x maximum expected static pressure, but the water hammer effect can produce pressure waves 10s to 100s times higher than static pressures. Mind you all of this theory could be moot if the rubber hose between the engine and intercooler is large and flexible enough to elastically deform and dampen the pressure spikes... Though that's not currently the case since the map data shows pressure spikes AFTER the existing accumulator and it's only sampling the sensor at a maximum of 200hz through a 24" long vacuum line. High dynamic pressure sensors that can be used to measure the water hammer effect operate in the MHz range and are essentially high fidelity microphones designed for operating in very specific conditions. While the Map sensor used in the FuelTech ECU is excellent for it's designed purpose neither it or the ECU have the ability to see the full range of the dynamic pressure spikes. It's just not necessary information to know in most all conditions. Since the theory of Joukowsky water hammer effect and accumulators are known to go hand in hand; a given application just needs to implement good known practices to negate their effects.
I can understand how with H2O water hammer effect can cause pretty extreme pressure spikes, but density is a major difference between water and air obviously which in turn correlates to lower overall pressure spikes. I'm not quite educated enough in advanced maths to work out the formula to provide an answer to the actual pressure spike at a given rpm but i'm still not convinced the cheaper intercooler wouldn't hold up. On a side note about the pressure spikes seen in the graph, I imagine that is due more to the fact that there is only a power stroke every other full rotation of the crank, then the exhaust valve opens, spools the turbo with a single blast of exhaust, then before the next exhaust stroke the turbo has peaked in rpm and started slowing before getting the next blast of exhaust after another 2 full rotations, hence spikes in the pressure reading.
