To all the new Viewers and Subs on the channel! WELCOME! Heads up, I WILL be doing a remake of this video in the future, considering all of you guys’ theories as well. And I have ALOT more videos in store that are just as interesting 🤔 but currently I am deployed right now (IS ARMY SERGEANT HERE 😅) so I won’t be posting videos for a a little while (few months) don’t let that stop you from subscribing and following my other socials to be updated on my return. I just wanted to make a quick comment about this new viewership!

@@ZachX888 can’t answer number 2. But I have recently decided that I will ONLY do manga focused videos. It took a lot for me to get there because I was originally going to start doing anime only centric videos. HOWEVER! It’s not necessarily the types of videos you think. The videos I will do will just require more information from the manga rather than the anime. Like if I made a video titled “I read ALL of My Hero Academia in One Video” then clearly I need the manga. And that’s what I’m talking about. I’m going to choose video ideas that are broad, but is about the Manga than the anime. When I get back I hope you get to experience at least one video to understand 🙏🏾

It would be kinda funny if this entire time there's been so much focus on the power of quirks themselves getting stronger over time that there's actually been a completely different type of physiological evolution happening right under people's noses that's giving some people more naturally resilient bodies. It would be interesting to see if this phenomenon only exists in non quirk users like All Might

There is quirk adaptation, let take bakugo for example. explotion is, as we know it, very deadly for us humans, we would just die by point blank range but mha people they are just surviving getting blasted to death they get injured of course but survive none the less, todoroki just got blasted by howitzers impact by bakugo and survived! This is directly shown with a person with a quirk (an entire family actually) being the entire Todoroki family. DIfferent quirks give people's bodies different constitutions. It's literally canon to the story. Toya inherited only his mother's constitution making him resilient to cold but not heat. The same is true for both Natsuo and Fuyumi judging by Natsuo's statements and the fact both children have inherited their mother's quirk. It's reasonable to assume imo that Deku could be resilient to heat due to his father's firebreathing quirk and possibly has an easier time using Float due to his mother's quirk (even though it only effects small objects. A similar relationship as Fa-jin being able to be used with 45% to get Faux 100% without obliterating his limbs)

One thing for sure: 'human body' means something really different in MhA than it does in rl. Look at Endeavor's strength and endurance- his quirk is purely fire-based, but he pulls off superhuman feats of strength and resilience on the regular.
Or take Kirishima- he's talked about how his quirk doesn't give him any kind of offensive edge, but that kid's strength, agility, and sheer athleticism are already superhuman by our standards.

I like to remind people, especially when they complain about how Deku and Bakugo can take certain attacks from Allmight during the Final Exam, in one of the first things we ever see in the manga/show, the Quirk Apprehension Test, Bakugo says without his quirk he was able to throw the ball 67 meters, later we see Deku have his quirk cancelled before the throw and it lands 46 meters away. Both of those are farther than those of the average adult and we're talking about middle schoolers here.

It's not farther then average adult results (of course if you doesn't talk about 24/7 computer sitting addict adult here) and it actually prooves that Midoriya IS, or at least was an average schooler.
HOWEVER, Bakugo, as well as all Todorokies, as well lot's of other guys in MHA really ARE stronger than average person.
But I do believe that the reason behind it is the same and quite simple: they all have the quirk factor, meaning that their bodies've adapted to explosions, high temperatures, etc.
Bakugo creates strong BOOMs literally on his hands, but he doesn't have any injuries, burns, concustions, etc. I guess it is possible only if his body is just way harder and his muscles are just way stronger.
The same thing goes with Kirishima - he does hardening, he doesn't do superpower, however he deffinetely has the latter, because his body becames more, let's put it simple, "concentrated".
So yeah, Bakugo throws the ball in a third farther then Midoryia because he HAS a bit of superpower.

    All Might had two things:
    1. A strong build.
    2. 40 years of use with a smaller OFA that mostly HE cultivated.
His body once WAS the muscle form, as it was the ideal form to handle his power, but he got wasted after his fight with AFO and was through OFA accessing his optimal form temporarily to handle it. I believe your theory to be a good explanation, but more than him being a special case, I think it was the other way around, in which OFA changed him and made him essentially a naturally occurring Shigaraki after years of use, essentially creating an ON/OFF switch on his body as a side effect per say.

That’s obviously a factor as well. But Remember it was still strong enough to accelerate the life span of a the 4th. So it wasn’t weak, even though it wasn’t as STRONG as All Might made it. And Yoichi also said that the reason All Might was able to wield it was because of his quirklessness.
With us not knowing how long the other users wielded it, it’s hard to know how powerful it was on them compared to the 4th user.

    • @JudojugsVtuber
      @JudojugsVtuber Год назад +12

@@MangaVation We know Hikage(The 4th) had the quirk for 18 years before it broke him. So using him as a benchmark as he was the one who had it the second longest behind All Might we could assume nobody else had it for more than 10 years(Especially with how young many of them were when they died as they retain their age on death as vestiges). So at minimum All Might likely added 4x the amount of power (roughly) to the quirk as any previous wielder. Likely more as he also relied on the stockpile ability itself far more than any of the other users who had secondary quirks to fall back on.
The 4th could split boulders with his level of OFA which I'd be able to see 5% full cowling accomplish maybe at max 10%. 4 generations later would likely put it at half-ish the power it had when Deku acquired it if we're being generous with the numbers. So All Might likely received OFA at 30-60% its current power assuming the stockpile ability grows strictly Linear. This is backed up due to All Might outright stating Air Force requires at least 20% of OFA which from what we've seen seems to be an ability that All Might has always had.

It's more to do with the fact that All Might didn't train just enough to handle One for All without his limbs blowing off. Unlike Deku, who had to get his body up to shape for the UA entrence exam, All Might had all the time to strengthen his body to be able to handle 100%. We even get the visual representation that Deku's body currently can barely hold One for All using a wine glass spilling over. It's simply Deku's body as a vessel being a rush job, while All Might completed it before recieving One for All.

  • @RashKIngCyan
    @RashKIngCyan Год назад +79

I agree with the bodies evolving too. Look at the fight with Stain, Deku [with a huge strength and power quirk] and Iida [with a durable legs and strong kick strength boosted by his quirk] they were both beating the shit out of Stain. Stain who has quirk that has nothing to do with his physical athletics or durability, yet still took multiple blows to the head, face, chest and stomach, yet he continued to fight [yes I know he passed out later on, but still the bastard wouldn't go down]. Along with Quirks evolving normal people bodies evolved as well. Without a quirk Deku presumably still took a lot of beatings from bullies, and Bakugo who has an explosive quirk and has used it on Deku many times since their childhood. Meaning that even though Deku did not have a quirk his body was still more durable and resistant than a normal person by our standards. Which means that yes not only Tokoyami's and Koda's bodies have mutations that have nothing to do with their quirks means that their not the only ones. With the coming of quirks peoples bodies have been changing to adapt the the quirks that they may or may not develop. Take Touya/Dabi for example, he has a fire quirk yet has the same resistance to the cold of someone that has an ice quirk like his mother. Which in turn caused his to burn himself with his own flames [I know Endeavor and Shoto can burn themselves aswell but it takes alot for it to happen]. That goes to show that their bodies are evolving naturally to keep up with quirks though at a much slower rate. I'm betting that if we were to take someone from MHA that they'd be more physically strong, fast, resistant etc. than us here.

I think a thing to consider for this theory to have more merit to it is to assume Allmight’s parent would have needed to have a similar biological structure as Tokoyami’s parents (i.e. he had a bird shaped head because one of his parents has a head bird). So maybe All Might’s parents could inflate/transform or puff themselves similarly how birds do to attract a mate or a pufferfish does to defend themselves. Similarly the other parent could of had a nearly indestructible body like a tardigrade. So in conclusion, he has a biological advantage because of his body’s natural structure just as someone being tall has an advantage when at a concert or music festival

That when All Might got it, the power was at a point that All Might didn't need to limit his output because it wasn't as strong as what he cultivated it to be later in his prime. I never imagined All Might got the power at 100% of his prime, just simply able to access the full amount of power that was available when he received it and then spent the next few decades maxing out the power to the point that when he gives it to Deku it is almost to strong for anyone to really obtain.

This Theory might actually be true and might be revealed at the end of MHA. Gran Torino even said to Izuku during season 2 that Toshinori was able to use 100% of OFA right away when he got it, where as Izuku had to go through months and months of training just to use at least use 45% of the power. Thats also to say that if the Muscle Form is an actual secret quirk that manifested later in All Might's life, we never see the quirk used by Izuku either or at least a glimpse of it. Even when used one million percent of OFA against Muscular back in season 3, we don't see any physical changes to his body as a whole. This might actually be the case when it comes to All Might, the Muscle Form was on its own was just a useless biological mutation, but when it combined with OFA, it allowed Toshinori to handle the full power of it right from the start thanks to his Muscles containing the power. When Izuku uses OFA, we see green lightning come from his body, thats because the power isn't fully inside of Izuku because he doesn't have the muscle. We also see this with All Might when he fought All For One in Camino when he used OFA on just his one arm. We saw yellow lightning come from his body because he was only channeling the power into one part of his body. So yes, I do believe this theory to be the truth behind All Might's Muscle Form.

I had a weird theory (i made it up after studying biology) that it's entirely possible that One For All had grown in power to the extent where it could maybe modify the dna of a human, as in, what if all might had a gigantification quirk (from parents) but it was recessive instead of dominant? Like we know that charecters are inherited and are often saved as recessive in the 3rd gen (like the mendel's monohybrid cross)? What if the quirk picked up the recessive quirk factor from All Might's body and molded it into a "Sub-Quirk"? It's not a quirk, but it's a quirk at the same time sort of thing?? What if One For All turned those recessive quirk genes to a usable form?
Then again, now there's Deku- He has lightning around him, and we know that a person can create lightning from Firebreath (Firebender shit from Avatar: The Last Airbender) by spliting it into the negative and positive poles- this is where telekenesis comes in- What if Deku's recessive quirk genes was a supposed type of lightning, and One For All managed to manifest it as a "sub-quirk"?
This is just me rambling, with a little kid's level of scientific knowledge. What do you guys think?

Also, what if deku's quirk is him just ionizing the air. like he's actually controling the molecules around him. We know that quirks can hide themselves like how One for All was originally was hidden until he was given another quirk, and One for All increased the power of the users own quirk, so it could be all might had a hidden quirk that got leveled up. Also all might is still mist within the One for All space, which means his connection is still foggy and Deku wouldn't have his quirk yet. I kinda always just saw it as All Might using One For All’s Stockpile quirk to build up energy and muscle in his body which makes him look like that. One thing to note is that All-Might didn’t always have a weak form, he only got that after the injury he got from his first battle with All For One took it’s toll on him.
The way I see it, think of it like how Deku uses the Stockpile quirk. At first he only used it on a single point in his body, unleashing 100% of the power but eventually learned to just let the power flow through his entire body to properly distribute the energy. All-Might is a similar case, except while Deku gets a cool glowing effect on his body, All-Might just gets really buff.
Now granted, this wouldn’t explain why All-Might was able to use One For All on the get go without breaking his body but I just chalk that up to him not only being fit enough to withstand higher percentages of One For All, but Deku even states himself that All-Might is never constantly going 100% otherwise he’d create shockwaves whenever he took a step. Therefore, it’s likely he just never really went all out with the quirk until much later when his body had gotten used to it completely, only sticking to maybe 45% or a bit higher when he first got it.
So really, to summarize, it’s less All-Might has a body made for the singularity and more so it’s just a visual of how he uses One For All’s Stockpile quirk kinda like when Deku glows.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

6:30 the problem with this point (edit: and the theory) is that it ignores the existence of the third type of quirk wich is the mutant quirk.
Just as shoto has 2 quirks, his dad's and mom's quirk (wich are also combination of quirks) , the mutations of having a rock/bird head are on their own, separate quirks from the shadow emitting/animal speaking quirks.
If you say that those are just body adaptations from their parents and not part of any quirk, then you're implying that lida has no quirk even though his mutation quirk is very clearly visible in the escape tubes he has in his legs, and he didn't get that out of nowhere that came from his parents. Same with Mina ashido. She also has multiple quirks, she makes acid yes, but her appearance is the result of other quirk combinations of mutant type quirks.
Tsuyu and her whole "frog" quirk is a mutation quirk in itself.
This same concept is explored in the x-men series, where there is a rapper with the mutant gene that only makes him blue, no powers, he is just blue.
I agree, the bodies are adaptating, but I disagree on the basis, that I think that if they are adapting is because of mutation type quirks being added to all the mixes.
So no, I don't think all migth is the case because it is stated that he is quirkless. And I don't think this explains his appearance.
From a doylist perspective you can argue that his appearance in itself it's a simbolo of who he is now and how he is a shadow of itself. But in lore, I still don't see an explanation
Tldr: the different type of bodies, like a bird head, pink skin, rock head, motor legs, are in themselves mutant type quirks.
Edit: I think that in the lore mutation quirks are actually called monster type? I don't remember now

A comment to this would take too long. But if All Might were to transform AFTER losing the embers in OFA then that would prove the transformation isn’t correlated with OFA..
There are 3 different occasions he did this.
      1) When deku talked to All Might before the hero raid of Overhaul. (It was whenAll Might told him about Nighteye seeing his future dying)
      2) recently in the Anime when All Might met stain. He transformed bc stain didn’t believe he was All Might (even though he actually knew he was All Might)
      3) he transformed RIGHT AFTER LOSING ALL THE EMBERS in OFA, in his fight with AFO. (When he has his fist in the air and everyone cheered.)
This proves (to me at least lol) that the transformation is separate thing from OFA!
The way I see it… the reason he couldn’t keep it long enough it because it’s a TRANSFORMATION that required energy to keep it up! And he doesn’t have a lot of energy to hold face due to the damages he got from AFO. (Which could be why he said he could only hold it for 3 hours a day in ep.1/ch. 1 of MHA)

@@MangaVation while I agree that the transformation is...strange, I'm pretty sure it's just OFA simply reverting his body back to a state in which he could use it, until the time limit ran out and he was forced out of it because of the injuries. There's 2 things I use as evidence for this,
      1) All Might never demonstrated the ability to "transform" before recieving OFA. After recieving it, he spent a considerable amount of time bulking up (until his normal state of being was his "muscle form"). However, after the injury, he started dwindling away, but every time he uses OFA, his body temporarily reverts back to a state at which OFA can be sustained, at the cost of further damaging the body and thus reducing it's longevity. The reason why this is important is for your speculation of OFA "powering" the transformation (and not being the source of it) to be correct, All Might should either be able to use OFA without the "muscle form" (which he can't) or he should demonstrate the ability to go into his muscle form prior to receiving OFA (even temporarily, as seen after he loses the embers).
      2) According to the author's notes on both the manga and the extra materials, the reason Deku doesn't have a "transformation" when he uses the quirk is because he's leaking out the energy he can't use in the form of "lightning" as opposed to All Might, who, because of his proficiency with OFA and natural athleticism, can contain all of his power within his body. This is why in the final bout against AFO, his body produces yellow lightning when he assumed muscle form on just his arm, because his body is simply too damaged to contain it anymore. This, added to the fact that the official explanation for why All Might can still "transform" after OFA was given is because he still has the charred remains of the quirk that can't really do anything. Through OFA, his body is already genetically altered from a "quirkless" state to a "quirked" state, if that makes sense. If I'm not wrong, this was in the Ultra Analysis booklet.
But either way, it's an interesting take on which we might never get a solid answer. Nice to see the MHA community thriving!

As many mutants in MHA say they don't have a special ability they just look different. for example. froppy does not lose any of her abilities that are associated with her body when she is being looked at in class by Eraser. It seems like quirks that do not need to be activated do not follow the same rules and might not affect compatibility but that it's built on the body as is. We know that All Might is only able to use the Raw Power of OFA cultivated from the passing on of the predecessors, and he further cultivates and adapts until he can control the power so well makes him able to freely channel the energy through his whole/partial of his body, such energy control and channeling has become his base Quirk which gives him super strength.
No matter if he's originally muscular (when he was younger) or skinny (current), before a fight starts, I'm sure he makes the OFA raw power surge through his body.
During the previous fight with AFO, besides damaging All Might's body, I believe AFO had used some kind of cell destroying quirk to All Might as well. Now he can't even build up his body like a normal person by working out and eating well anymore, he only can bulk up with OFA power surging. In other words, he should've died after that fight with AFO, it's the raw power of OFA keeping him alive because he physically and mentally can adapt to the power so well that, it unconsciously keeps his life force running.

I usually don't comment but, I saw all the 6 season in the last weeks and the 6th in these 3 days, explaining all the facts about the ofa to understanding it, and all the info about the death of the predecessor it's said that: allmight its a user of the ofa from 40 years, making him the longer user etcetera no spoiler we know why, so he is like 50/60 now and talking about his parents i see is a hard thing, but some flashback talking about the allmight origin would be fine, I'm scared the anime is finishing and we get an 8th season maybe. It would be good information to know who his parents were. Considering the fact that on the wiki it says they are deceased. But it would be very vital information to know what their quirks were and such. So I agree that the parents play a role in his forms.

Your theory makes sense. With the constant change in human evolution with quirks just like one for all with each passing of the user and the abilities stock piling the body of a regular human could in theory evolve as well to accommodate with the changes of what others are going through. Survival of the fittest. So when he got one for all he used it exceptionally well. Although never unlocking other quirks like deku he’s managed to teach deku and deku has evolved even further than all might

I think partially it is because OFA is an emitter quirk, and I think operates by storing mass as energy that the user can draw on. The energy gains physical weight when they draw it from the vestige world and all might was using a very fine tune control to put specific percentages in different muscles to get a “pump” effect like in body building, which is why he weighed less than his prime form but had greater overall size physique wise. Seems similar to how the Paths and Titans work, and it’s clear that Toshi had the most fine tune control over the power without realizing what he was doing specifically to explain to Deku

Theres another aspect of quirks kids can be born with called Mutation types, not to be confused with Mutant type quirks
Mutation quirks are essentially when a kid is born with a quirk that doesn't resemble either of their parents quirk or even another family member quirk and is completely unique to them
While rare theres only been one case of this (that i can currently think of) that was confirmed and that's Eri's quirk

They did say there are four different types of quirks, emitter quirks, transformation quirks, accumulation quirks and mutation quirks. Mutation quiks are like Ojiro's tail, Tokoyami's bird face etc
Aizawa's quirk doesn't work on mutation quirks because they are purly physical and are part of the persons actual genetic form. He can't camcel them out. They are considered a true quick though and wouldn't be considered quirkless

I agree heavily with this theory just because of how things actually work in real life. Although, yes, we don’t have something so “immense” like quirks or powers but look at how the human body evolves. Though out history, we’ve seen how the human body adjusts to what people need at a certain period of time. Yes, human evolution might not be as fast as quirk evolution (if we compare to irl) but it’s probably gonna catch up sooner or later.

I got the impression that All Might bulking up is just an application of OFA that's handy for his specific circumstances that wouldn't really be relevant to anyone else that's had it so far. For why he's so good with it, it's because he's had it from a young age and lacking a quirk makes his body more flexible to adapting to a new quirk than someone with a quirk receiving another one. He's had it the longest out of anyone and is a physical learner, which helped him intuit OFA more quickly and with less injury than Izuku. Izuku's difficulties are a combination of being a different kind of learner, AM's inexperience with teaching and the large gap between AM's first experience with OFA and Izuku's after all the time it had to accumulate power in between.
Also, physical traits and quirk classifications are more complicated than just having a bird head being unrelated to Dark Shadow. Emitter type quirks sometimes come with mutation traits that don't really do much to the emitter quirk and therefore aren't really mentioned, which is what's going on with Koda and Tokoyami. It's still part of their quirks but not really relevant to the registration of their abilities. Uraraka has little finger pads on her hands that activate her quirk, Shigaraki's skin problems are implied to be a side effect of her quirk, etc. It's directly related to having a quirk, though sometimes you get people like Dabi whose body is adapted to one parent's quirk while inheriting the other's and having problems due to it. The info given about people's quirks tend to be simplification for documentation and limited by how people understood the quirk at the time the paperwork was filed. Izuku registered OF as 'Superpower' and wrote something about strength augmentation. Sometimes quirks change or people's understanding of its function and application change enough that they need to update the paperwork to be more accurate.
I would take AFO's doctor's info with a pretty heavy grain of salt given his ethics and some of the stuff he says is straight up eugenics. I'm hoping BNHA doesn't operate on that view of evolution but you never really know for sure until the series wraps up when this kind of thing happens.

All might was that big naturally but he shrunk down after his injury from afo but ofa remembers how he’s supposed to be which is why when he flexes he changes back to how ofa originally remembers him

    • @taiga738
      @taiga738 Год назад

@@Young_Wrath In terms of mechanics, describing it as just flexing muscles isn't very helpful. Mechanically, it could be comparable in that using a quirk is a metaphorical superpower equivalent to flexing physical muscles but it's not literally what it is.
OFA's stored energy seems to be capable of restoring optimal strength and mass into muscles when channeled by someone who's trained with it extensively the same way it augments natural physical strength. The strength augmentation comes from stored physical potential rather than a strength augmentation quirk getting thrown into the mix, after all.
I never really liked describing it as him shrinking down since it reminds me of how the anime did him dirty on that. In the manga, it's pretty clear that he's just as tall in both forms because his skeletal structure remains unaffected and the difference is purely in muscle mass and posture.
We see with other quirks that intense use or augmentation from things like trigger can cause physical changes where there were none before or new ones as the quirk becomes stronger, so it makes sense that a quirk whose primary function is to stockpile physical potential would be able to be applied to temporarily restore previous muscle mass to use it more safely.

    @jesselam5867 Год назад +1

Damn this is a really thought out theory which makes a lot of sense.
Not sure if it was obvious or not but my initial impression of all might was that his muscle form was just a result of him working his body out, (so it was his normal body) and it was only after his battle with OFA that he had to flex to temporarily get back to that size to house OFA although at a time limit since you can’t flex forever.
My own theory was debunked after reading mha vigilantes because there was a chapter pre ofa fight, where all might was in a normal body (not skinny one) and was called onto the scene so he transformed into his muscle form. I know that it was before his fall because OFA did not have a mask on yet. This proves that all might always had a seperate muscle form and it had nothing to do with his injury, all the injury did was limit the power and time usage.
