Asian Giant Hornets literally kill bees. It takes 30 of them to kill 30,000 to maybe even 300,000 thousand bees. That's how bad they are for bee keepers.
Maybe ... if they find a nest or where the Hornets might be centralized, like in Vancouver Island last September. It's not worth hitting the panic button over, but it is something to keep a look-out for.
As an chear alternative use a large jam jar or Mason jar with a plant pot stuck in the top. Make sure you use a pottery pot with the one hole in the bottom. Half fill the jar with apple juice, stand it in the shade or hang it up, works just as well as the commercial ones.
They have been in Virginia for a while now. The best trap I have found is a bucket of kerosene with a light just above it. At night they are attracted to the light and swarm around it then fall in the bucket of kerosene and die. Got about 35 e first night I put the trap out.
Brian Neu the ones to this video are Japanese giant Hornets, I shot the video, I live in Japan, I am a beekeeper here. These are Japanese giants hornets.
When one of them dies it sends off pheremones into the air alerting other giant hornets to come, I would say put this far away from home in case the oncoming crews decide to take a detour.
Once when I was removing a hornet nest, I got a rip in my veil. Hornets and bees very good at noticing entrances and hornets started to try and get into the small hole. I was trying to stop them by crushing them with my gloved hand, and then hornets by the tens started stinging the glove .it was surreal, this sting wasn’t getting through, but the poison was hitting my skin.
I wanted to order one, found the website, but the language is a barrier. Would you consider exporting them for us? If you put them on eBay those of us that live in the Northwest would pay a premium.
Perhaps use Google translate to order the product from the website. We really need to stop these Hornets otherwise people are going to be attacked every summer.

Best most effective was a large plastic box, chicken attached to underside of the lid, water filled the box to about 3" stand well back. Over 750 in 2 hours. You tube has the video, home made wasp trap. Bees won't touch it. With yours I think bees might be attracted to the smell.
