Hi there, I just found your channel and I subscribed. I’m excited to follow your journey on your trails. I love seeing women out there doing what we love to do. I would love to hike a through hike. However, I don’t know if I could ever do it so I admire people who do and I love watching other peoples adventures.
At this point, I don't really have much gear that is season specific so I just use the same gear each hike. At some point that may change. Currently, I am using a Durston xMid 1person and a Mountain Hardwear Phantom 15F bag. It was warm enough in the Colorado Mountains and most night not too warm in Tahoe. I just adjusted my sleeping layers.
HAHAHA, ok, Karen..... oh, and by the way, that is not a blaze. that is a trail marker sign. a blaze is a vertical marking on a tree that is either been cut into the tree or painted onto it.
@@orion7741 GOOGLE AI ANSWERS THE QUESTION: Is the PCT Sign a blaze - “The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) uses metal, plastic, or wooden markers called blazes to guide hikers. These markers are nailed to trees or posts and are common on Western trails like the PCT, Continental Divide Trail (CDT), and Colorado Trails.”
@@orion7741 GOOGLE AI: The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) has blazes, but they are not as frequent as the white blazes on the Appalachian Trail (AT). The PCT uses metal emblems that are nailed to trees and posts, or installed at intersections. These markers are common on Western trails like the PCT, CDT, and Colorado Trail.

Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoy, and I’m the same way I love seeing other women hiking especially solo! It motivates and inspires me.
The PCT sign markers are called blazes. Signs or paint; they’re all blazes.
Think of the dry and hot sections as preparation for the desert section of the PCT!
@@BrawndoDrinker very true!! ;-) and a good way to spin the narrative in my mind.
great series, what kind of tent and sleeping bag did you go with this time of year?

HIKING ALONE SUCKS ON THE TAHOE FOR YOU
YOU DID GREAT MILES TODAY ❤️🤍💙
@@suemoore1965 thank you so much!
Making great progress. A dilemma. Approaching town a day early! Pay for another night etc? Hate such decisions.
@@hankremer6606 right?!?
Very nice videos! Suggestion: Don’t double tap the blaze because it can wear off the emblem and because it’s sooooo CLICHE!
