Good, fair and balanced review as always. I purchased a Timex automatic dress watch around 2 years ago now and I really enjoy wearing it. It is rose gold and has a mineral crystal, so a little more robust than the acrylic. One reason I bought it, in addition to the fact it was on sale, is I'm hoping that Timex will do just what you said at the end of the video and continue exploring mechanical and automatic watches. The sky is literally the limit on what they could do if they were motivated.

I have this watch and love it. It was a gift for my birthday from my kids and I love it. It really comfortable to wear, nice size, and legible. I like the railroad minute track. Like Rob said, it still a Timex. But they did a good job on this one.

Absolutely love the design of this watch, practical, classy, yet simple...Timex WHAT ARE YOU DOING THOUGH. Over $200 for a watch with an arcrilyc crystal...when you have all these micro brands and others like Orient, etc offering watches in the same price range with sapphire crystals, Timex needs to do better.

This is a great looking watch for sure. And for a small amount of money 👌

I have this watch. Looks good and I wear it occasionally. No, I haven't found out what the red line is for either!

I always wonder: why is the 24 hour dial useful?

  • @jameswcollett

Is the 24-hour sub-dial essentially just an AM/PM indicator? Wouldn't it be cool if the sub-dial offered a 2nd time zone function (like a GMT)?

i like timex. their designs are great but you dont get alot of watch for the price.. i am careful wearing my timex q chrono. this one looks great.retro

Liked the concept, unsure if the Marlin name was right, was it a remake?, looked a bit big on yours, too thick, I’m interested in seeing one first hand.

  • @jasonbrocious3805

Take out the subdial and make it under 11mm with even a mineral crystal and I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Could the date window be any smaller? Sheesh

Just goes to show you do not need to spend big money to have a classy watch on your wrist.

I'm not sure if going truly premium would suit Timex, but wouldn't you say that this trial was done with the Giorgio Galli to some success and critical acclaim?

  • @chadchampion6773

Timex really is quite silly with their retro line prices. I like the designs but the specs just do not justify the price.

50m on a MARLIN. (An ocean fish.) Meantime, my Timex Expedition failed during an expedition. Word: Don’t believe the Timex marketing.
