Actually I'd argue it's among the very best with FIDELITY...but past the peak of Sansui build quality...it's ultra clean and transparent in sound..with just a hint of the warm lush tubey Sansui sound of older units. I don't think it sounds like tubes or SS...but a neutral middle....superb....

Which is why this guy should be careful with the knobs and buttons! Twisting or pressing them too hard or fast at all can break the old plastics....
