As a hobbyist woodworker, I can assure you that it is actually very difficult under normal circumstances to get live or green (meaning not fully dried, which takes years) wood to burn. With most species, it can be done, but it wouldn't be just a matter of flinging some sparks or even throwing a low-power fireball at them. I count myself as one of the many anti-burners who missed the pol, sadly.
Funny, also I want to play hytale when it comes out as well. And im puting a team together I will be a soldier swordsman, and my friend will be a mage. I need a ranger, alchamist, and barbarian. Maybe, we could team up?
Well if they're made of wood... it only makes sense... *BUT* living wood is not flammable like seasoned dead wood is, so they should actually be unaffected by fire to an extent, if not in contact with fire or embers for too long, or else their wood should dry out and become flammable. So in short, I think this could translate to fire resistance by default, but with some kind of cooldown at the end of which they'd become flammable. Or their fire resistance could start dropping on contact with fire, until they had none left, or something like that, and then it would recover over time as well.
I think that something like Burning cweebeks is nessesery for the game. In Hytale, we can choose our side- either we are with Gaia or Varryn. (I hope so) So it is logical, that if we are on Varryn's side, we would be a foe of the cweebeks.
I think it's been hinted at before that the game's adventure mode may have two or more paths you can go down such as having the option to be a good guy or be a bad guy and your reputation with different factions can change. My speculation about zone 1 is that Kweebecs start out friendly and Trorks start out hostile, but depending on the decisions you make in the game you might end up with Trorks friendly and Kweebecs hostile, therefore you would need to fight the Kweebecs. It only makes sense that you would be able to set them on fire since they are made of wood after all. Of course, their AI would be complicated enough for them to extinguish the fire somehow, but in a way where you can take advantage of their AI to attack while they are on fire and vulnerable. Of course, you would only actually do this if you chose the evil ending, and there would be consequences for doing that such as Kweebecs becoming hostile towards you and potentially being locked out of the good ending. I suspect that when that Hytale developer posted about looking for Kweebec villiages to attack he was testing the evil ending. I'm not sure how many mobs will be faction based like Kweebecs and Trorks and will have reputations that change how they behave towards you, and how many will just permenantly be hostile or permenantly passive etc. Animals will probably not have a faction / reputation system. Not sure about skeletons, suspect they won't either. I'm a Dungeons & Dragons fan so my concept of skeletons is that they are animated and controlled through dark magic rather than being a civilization. So it would be cool if at some stage in the adventure you kill this evil wizard and get the chance to either stop skeletons from spawning entirely (good ending) or learn the spell the wizard used to animate skeletons and create your own skeletons to serve you (evil ending.)
@@garfieldsans967 Indeed my friend. Our rage from shitty trades and lack of resources to steal shall carry over. I used to burn down forests along with villages in MC occasionally. Now I get to do both.

If they are made of wood and you try to torch them, then they should light up. However I think that this shouldn't be an easy task to perform. Since we are talking about a specific species, the way they light up would bring personality into the game and diversify its already lush content. Getting too close with a fire source that would be able to harm them could make them run away or at least stay beyond reach. My point is that it will be futile to go up against this anyway. I think all entities should be able to be set on fire (because thats how it is in real life) but some more resistant to fire (example swamp creature very moist) and as for the Kweebec, they should be completely IMMUNE to fire because they are magical and they protect the forest with their anti-fire magic! :D

Sure, the ability for Kweebecs to be burned means people can burn them... but it also means people can PROTECT them. So, if you happen to like burning Kweebec-burners, now you've some reason to.
If burning Kweebecs doesn't get added, I'm modding my server to have it. They'll catch fire, scream, run around in a circle for a moment, and then poof into a pile of ash.
About Noxy's poll: I still don't understand if he meant burnable as in how fire aspect works in Minecraft (which should in theory work on all mobs in Hytale) or in terms of fuel. I personally only voted yes because I feel like it's going to be more like the first option. If it is actually the latter, then I regret my choice, but the "yes" would have been the majority anyway. :'(
Also, if kweebecs are burnable in the second sense, I believe they will fight back and hopefully put up a good fight too. If they can't put up a good fight in vanilla, I will make sure to make a mod where burnt Kweebecs become essentially firebenders.
From a technical point this is rather interesting detail that goes to show how much they are willing to go to this extant to create a Detailed World and Might add some Animals that other games wont add **cough** **Cough** minecraft **cough** **cough**
I’m excited for this game as well but also a little worried that people are speculating too much and building the game up to be something that it isn’t :( Just some of my thoughts
Purely from a game mechanics point of view, I think that most mobs should be flammable. Concerning Kweebecs, I support the behavior of trying to put themselves out as fast as possible, whether by jumping into water or rolling on the ground. I like the idea so much, that if they implement it, I hope they make it so that most flammable creatures behave in similar, species appropriate ways. If they are specifically targeting kids, it should be noted that kids like to mimic their favorite things and parents may use this to help teach them Stop, Drop, and Roll like a Kweebec!
I think the main thing you have to consider when thinking of whether Kweebecs should be burnable or not, is the flammability of other mobs. In my opinion if humans, elves, or Trollocs are flammable, then Kweebecs should be just as flammable with no other weakness or resistance. Because if you think about it, then Kweebecs technically are living tree spirits and thus have a form of water gained from their surroundings, and would be just as flammable as a regular tree or human. Not saying it would make you any less of a sick psycho for burning kweebecs, just as it is still not right to burn humans even though you can.
Also if you think about it, Kweebecs are just as able to put themselves out as humans are, Plus if you actually set them on fire, you'd have to deal with the leaf rangers.
Kweebecs on fire should be a Power-Up for them but maybe one of those only very rare and special circumstances. Like a pokemon evolving with a stone. Then the flames go away but they are now evolved!! Super Kweebs.
I mean In real life when you burn a tree it does help the forest. jokes aside they could make it so you can burn them but if you burn to much they’ll come for you with 10x the power.
@@timerertim Haha yeah true, well i hope that they won't be monetized, but it's so hard to tell because the devs 100% want to support all types of creators

I have an idea what if the quebecs after dying from Burns they resurrect themselves into a seedling
I think all entities should be able to be set on fire (because thats how it is in real life) but some more resistant to fire (example swamp creature very moist)
and as for the Kweebec, they should be completely IMMUNE to fire because they are magical and they protect the forest with their anti-fire magic! :D
I personally like Kweebecs well made and crispy. With lots of salt and spices. Maybe with potatoes or rice.
That's so messed up dood
Yeah.... I'd rather not eat burnt bark...
Your channel has grown so much since I came here, Kweeb. And the game hasn't even come out yet. Lol. Keep up the good work, yo.
I watched it grow since his first few videos too.
Makes my channel feel like trash xD
jeez, those dragon flying videos are so cool
I'm not sure if the budget increase is a good thing or a bad thing. It could mean they are grossly going over budget or the studio is backing them more, we just don't know because we aren't involved in those processes
It seems he said it with confidence, i can imagine that riot liked what they did with jnitial invest and doubled down
@@kweebec that's my hope too. Either way I'm glad they are taking their time and not overhyping the game like cyberpunk. Part of why that game failed was poor project management and I'd hate to see it happen to this game too
"It is interesting to speculate how Hytale may reach out for private testers of their game. Combat is something that you have to get right, after all."
Technoblade: *Now this looks like a job for me.*
100% bet they've reached out to techno and he's signed and NDA so can't talk about it
Woah, thanks for the news! And i thought i know all of the recent news lol
Glad to know I could catch some stuff you missed!
That's alot of words for someone in lighter distance.
Oh what I got from the video title was that he roasted you personally so I was looking for that lol
If it’s made out of wood it should burn i’m not saying you should but it should be possible
Hm, thats definitely an opinion
i would love to see if like they add that u can raise a kweebec or be friends with some of them or even have them as pets
Reputation is confirmed! :D
I mean in the end it doesn't matter as mods will allow for burning kweebecs.
SET THEM TREE ORPHANS ABLAZE
Kweebecs should not be burned, they should be turned into living boats and houses that can move on there own and block attacks from mobs trying to attack your house.
Yes
Jesus thats somehow worse
Hey, remember I post it on Twitter ''Warning don't burn Kweebecs'' why? @KweebecBurningAssociation
ACHO É POUCO! Hi, I think i'm the only brazillian on this channel but that's not what it cares. Your channel is so Underrated, you showed at my recommended and it was an awesome recommendation! Your channel has an good future my man. Keep doing your great work and you go far.
I think kweebecs should be able to burn, otherwise they might end up like the annoying kids in Skyrim that just won't die.
Sure, the ability for Kweebecs to be burned means people can burn them... but it also means people can PROTECT them.
So, if you happen to like burning Kweebec-burners, now you've some reason to.
I love this thinking
Yoo I made it into a Kweebec Corner video
Absolutely disgusting
From a technical point this is rather interesting detail that goes to show how much they are willing to go to this extant to create a Detailed World and Might add some Animals that other games wont add **cough** **Cough** minecraft **cough** **cough**
True say, thought overexaggerating would help emphasise that
Anyone else think it would be cool if creatures were sucked into the earth after death!
I’m excited for this game as well but also a little worried that people are speculating too much and building the game up to be something that it isn’t :(
Just some of my thoughts
Purely from a game mechanics point of view, I think that most mobs should be flammable. Concerning Kweebecs, I support the behavior of trying to put themselves out as fast as possible, whether by jumping into water or rolling on the ground. I like the idea so much, that if they implement it, I hope they make it so that most flammable creatures behave in similar, species appropriate ways. If they are specifically targeting kids, it should be noted that kids like to mimic their favorite things and parents may use this to help teach them Stop, Drop, and Roll like a Kweebec!
The kweebecs should drop coal when they are put to justice
Kweebec: Exist
Somebody: BURN THEM IN HOLY FIRE
Flamebecs ! I like it :D
I mean In real life when you burn a tree it does help the forest. jokes aside they could make it so you can burn them but if you burn to much they’ll come for you with 10x the power.

If mods are monetized idk if i'll be able to enjoy the game :(
I highly doubt that would be doable. What I think is private servers (like in MC) can provide VIP access or other stuff for rl money.
@@timerertim How would it not be doable? Just wondering
@@SnesySnas Because of the same reason you mentioned in your original comment.
@@timerertim Haha yeah true, well i hope that they won't be monetized, but it's so hard to tell because the devs 100% want to support all types of creators
*heavy breathing intensifies* we're nearing the launch 0_0 I shall burn a whole kweebec to appease the delay gods
Jeez louissseee
I rhink it's good, cuz it will force the player to be careful when playing with fire around the kweebecs
Do you what you should do to kweebecs
No not burn i meant protect
Also dont think about commenting to burn them...
You know the way
Okay once this actually happened we report because of violence and force them to stop
Maybe hehe
Hytal gets 18+
Minecraft horror maps wait a minute
Poor Kweebecs! I really hope that this Kweebec fire thing stops! >:-(
Me too! We need peace!
Yap The community is sick. why burn the sacred tree spirits. Im a kweebec defender... these arsonists better get there sticks right.
A charred kweebec limb can still be used a stick
Listen all I'm gonna say is that stopping me having a tree won't stop me burning kweebecs. Heck, if it comes down to it as long as there is one tree in the world I can get a sapling. I can then burn the forests and kill all the kweebecs.
I almost got a heart attack holy shit
I'll just be over here. In this clearing. Setting up a campfire.
No particular reason.
Techno would definitely burn these Tree Orphans after gaining trust from the Flying Eldritch Demons.
We love the dear Evan Hanson reference Kieran said but do we like the idea? The answer is no, no we do not.
A kweeb might not be smart or human but they sure makes a good fuel source
You should be able to, so that we can shame the people who do it.
Then shame I shall inherit
What's so bad about burning people? How else can one cook traditional Ferran Fast food?
Lmao
Yall crazy!
wait are there people already beta testing? how do you get access, I signed up for beta access like 2 years ago
The whole shit storm for the burnable kweebec is a joke? If it is or not doesn't matter right?
How do you think usernames is going to work?
Just like any game's usernames do, pick what's available, potential reservation
More importantly; can Kweebecs be chopped?
[sad sword noises]
