The main "story" (basically what it takes to beat the base game) might only last for a couple days, similarly to how Minecraft, when you only focus on getting to the End and nothing else, only takes a few hours for the average player to beat. So, if you don't enjoy building or being a completionist, that may be completely true. Sandbox games are fueled by the players creativity afterall, we will just have to see how well Hytale keeps our attention span outside of its base story. But we won't know anything until release. Let's just hope for the best while not expecting the unrealistic.

I'm expecting Hytale's release to be predicated on when Minecraft releases its next two updates - I see the beta happening this Summer and the release being at the beginning of next year.

In most developed countries you actually generally have more free time in post secondary than in high school. The thing is that the course material is more difficult and you have to plan your learning much more independently, that’s what makes it harder. So yeah you’ll be fine bud

I wouldn't be surprised if Hytale had races, it's basically an mmorpg, and almost every mmorpg has seperate races. We've seen an elf and now this horned character. Ofc that's just speculation, as a long time mmorpg player I'd be surprised if Hytale didnt include playable or at least unlockable races.
I'd be upset. If they weren't going to release the game for four years I would've preferred if they released the trailer at the beginning of this year. They could've done a ton of updates since the game would be close to fruition at that point and they hype train would've just built right up until release. Instead, the released a trailer, built a hype, then let it die to the point that people make "what happened to Hytale" videos on RUclips. People almost feel like it's vaporware or something. I understand they want uber polish, but I think they really shouldn't be underestimating community feedback. It would be more valuable for them to figure out from the players themselves, the actual consumers of the product, what needs to be tweaked or fixed or whatever. As well, if they are genuinely releasing the beta this summer (which I'm not holding my breath for), I wish they could've provided some sort of rough timeline. Like, originally saying something like "beta in 2021" and then as it got closer "beta in summer" and then maybe a "beta in q2/q3" and then "beta in July" and finally "beta on July 10th" or something along those lines. They had room to give a wider date range, and that could help with the people who might've been getting frustrated with the wait, to have at least something to look forward to. Someone quick! Send this to the hytale team! We need to change the traditional way to recycle trash in the game! Here is some ideas: All trash must be thrown in a waste or anywhere really! 1. Like On the floor 2. Using magic and sending it to another dimension or completely make it disintegrated or vanish, using a number of spells and earn some xp! 3. Throw it in a lava only flammable items will burn all other would just sink to the bottom or float. 4. A random traveler can come by your place and dig threw your trash or you can call one to pick up your trash and they take to a junkyard and make stuff out of it or you can call for a recycling truck that would charge you. 5. If you can fly into space you can toss it at the sun or create a trash launcher that will launched it like a a space canon! 6. Last but not least call Oscar the grouch as a last resort but be careful he may consider everything to be trash including your pod collection that you keep in your house in a locked chest! as we know everything is trash to oscar! but you can get it back from inside his trash can dimension your have to look for it!

i think they will release the beta in winter 2021. the game itself will come out 2022. probably few days before easter. Because then kids be like "i wish i have the game" so the parents buy it. because releasing the game before a event with gifts happens, the buying numbers will be higher than usual. so im afraid the game will come out december 2022 because of christmas. I mean i would really allow the team to get more money, they really deserve it, but i also dont want to wait much longer xD

I'd honestly find it rather wholesome if people from Mojang went to lend Hypixel aid with their game if they need it. Helping the team fill in crucial roles until permanent positions can be filled then returning to their own game. It would be a very sweet sign of no bad blood and friendly competitive spirit by engaging in jolly cooperation.

I don’t expect a beta until possibly late fall. I think they will want to keep their promise of “playable by everyone” but delay a release of a beta to smooth it out as much as possible. However, I think there’s a decent chance the game gets delayed into 2022, even for a beta.

I fully support there not being a release date anytime soon since i want it to be amazing, but in 18 months im going to college.... and i personally, would like to play it a bit before i have to dive into school again xD

Apparently it’s because of the updates have a ton of bugs and they take forever to fix or whatever

Thats just how minecraft is. People like to use the excuse that its a simple game but in reality the devs are just lazy. They have the resources needed to release constant updates.
All the combat needs is a timed parry and probably a dodge mechanic
Surely a beta wouldn’t hurt. Even if they don’t include some parts of the game in the beta it could still be playable

Honestly, I could wait until 2024 for the game. As long as they would put out good postcards and maby the occasional blog post I'd be happy.
I personally think that the best way to create a game is letting the player test it from the beginning, like they did in Subnautica Below Zero.
what if in 'the end', you figure out that kweebecs are acctually evil, and used you for their plans. and then its 'CHAPTER II' or something, and you have to win the world back from them? kinda like the hercules movie with Dwayne the Rock Johnson
i think they will release the beta in winter 2021.
the game itself will come out 2022. probably few days before easter.
Because then kids be like "i wish i have the game" so the parents buy it.
because releasing the game before a event with gifts happens, the buying numbers will be higher than usual.
so im afraid the game will come out december 2022 because of christmas.
I mean i would really allow the team to get more money, they really deserve it, but i also dont want to wait much longer xD

In a way I wish they never would have put the trailer out I'm still hyped for the game but nowhere near as what I was the whole world has changed since that trailer originally dropped I mean everything is changed I would say I would be a little aggravated if we didn't get a beta this summer
I'd honestly find it rather wholesome if people from Mojang went to lend Hypixel aid with their game if they need it. Helping the team fill in crucial roles until permanent positions can be filled then returning to their own game. It would be a very sweet sign of no bad blood and friendly competitive spirit by engaging in jolly cooperation.
What if they pull a fast one and Kweebec’s are evil and they’ve tricked the player into thinking the Trorks are the evil ones.

I don’t expect a beta until possibly late fall. I think they will want to keep their promise of “playable by everyone” but delay a release of a beta to smooth it out as much as possible. However, I think there’s a decent chance the game gets delayed into 2022, even for a beta.
honestly, I'll wait for as long as I have reason to believe that the dev's haven't fallen prey to feature creep, and i think we're still in the clear there
