I'm launching a channel of words and readings - horror stories will be included. I'm wondering if such words (not the images) may be affected by this, such as the description of someone being hurt? it would seem extreme to me, but I'd rather tick a box if in doubt.
Yes the words are as relevant is images. After all the algorithm uses the words to understand what is in the video. Keep in mind that when you first launch it wont matter as your monetization won't kick in until you get to 1k subs and 4,000 watch hours.However thinking ahead is a good idea as when you do become eligible you want to give the videos the best chance and fill in the advertising suitability section to reflect the content. All the best with the channel sounds like an exciting project to work on.
I would say you might run into some issues there, depending on how gory etc. There is a section called Violent or graphic content and it says: You can not post Violent or gory content intended to shock or disgust viewers, or content encouraging others to commit violent acts are not allowed on RUclips. So I guess best thing to do is look at what other creators in the genre have uploaded and got away with and use that as a guide.

I think if it is clearly fantasy and has artistic merit in the genre it might be OK as I have seen lots of previews of full on Horror movies on the platform so there must be some tolerance for the genre if it is clearly a cinematic work. You can test it out by uploading as unlisted and leaving it for a few days before going live to make sure the AI doesn't pick up on anything and block it.

Hard to say whether you would have an issue with it on YT. I would say that if the scenes appeared on M and R rated movies then you may be able to include some references to them and talk about them and. However the videos could get flagged as age restricted or picked for copyright. So yeah it could be a problem doing this type of thing on RUclips. You could consider alternative platforms like BitChute or Odysee but the don't have any where the reach of YT.
Ooooh my God i started uploading my video today and i receive some of those comments in my channel and i did is to remove the evil 👿 comment and mute 🤐 the comment from them. They are 4 people texted on my channel about 5hrs ago, I felt bad because just started the channel to keep myself busy because have no job to attend since Covid 19 started and all i want is to make sure my channel is progressing . God help me with this journey of RUclips!
Yes the choice to monetize is yours. When you upload your video there is screen that asks if you want to monetize, you can say yes or no at the time of upload. You can also access existing videos in the YT creator studio and click on the monetization tab. Then you can turn it off. It should reduce the ads on the video or possibly remove them, but they might still appear as RUclips can still play ads on any video they like whether you opt in for monetization or not.

Not really. If they are music copyright strikes then the record labels are usually fine with it as they receive the monetisation. You would only get banned if it was a copyright violation on multiple occasions and the label didn't allow for the usage at all.
Well, first, thank you for this video. RUclips just nuked my entire channel for uploading a compilation of mexican cartel footage I’ve found on RUclips. It’s all legit footage so NO gruesome content and it’s already on RUclips! I tried to show how people live and how they being treated by the cartel. I worked for 2 weeks on this video and even re-uploaded it with age restriction and warning sign in the video but they took it down after 2 hours. It’s weird because all of this was already on RUclips. Ban reason: We think it violates our violent criminal organizations policy. We‘ve removed the following content from RUclips. It’s so hard to accept because all I did was uploading stuff that I found on RUclips. Unbelievable..
Yeah it is interesting how some content stays up and others are either demonetized or removed. There is no definitive answer or reason for it. The only thing we have to go by are these guidelines. So yeah if it contains a fair bit of violence etc this type of thing can happen.
