People that have negative comments don't know all the facts. There were women who couldn't wait to retire from work due to ill health and struggled thinking they had another year or two until retirement, with that in mind kept them going, until another 6 years for many were added on. Women looking after elderly parents snd running a home was no easy task so before many men start to disagree, remember lots of men didn't look after their own parents it was their wives that helped out with that task too, Labour will never rule again, they have lied about so many issues.

In the UK, life expectancy at birth for men in 2020 to 2022 was 78.6 years, while for women it was 82.6 years:
Women on average receive a state pension and all other associated benefits such as health and social care for 4 years more than men but pay no more tax
So based on today's pension, both State and private and the cost of health and social care On average women receive in excess of £80, 000 more than men for the same contributions
Perhaps it should be men who should complain
If the situation was reversed it would be called inequality

Unfair to the taxpayer😱🤷‍♀️🤬we were the taxpayer for 40 years many of us paying full stamp for 40+ years
The ombudsman also said the women would have to app,y for the money saying how loosing the pension had affected their lives what will this cost in administration and appeals again it’s begging for what is rightfully yours. It would help if the government raised the personal allowance for pensioners receiving the OAP, and put the waspi women on the higher new rate of pension during their lifetimes this way the cost would be spread out and less expensive for the government give them a face saving way out which 5hey don’t deserve but this ha to end . They get so many perks and us plebs at 5he bottom ask for very little just what we paid for and even that gets stolen by the rich politicians

Should men not be compensated for having to retire later for so long, especially as in those days they were traditionally doing more physical labour? Really unsure why these women are protesting.

What does today have to do with 1950's women? A woman retiring in the 1950's would have to be very, very old. I'm American, so clueless. The UK always seems more prone to want their national government pay everyone. Who is this young woman on here? Certainly she's not from that time, I was born in 1955. Did women affected here just not check annually on their pensions, did they just rely on others to take care of them? Or, did women check on their pensions only to be lied to?

Given the energy of many of these campaigners - I would recommend they divert this into going back to work.
