Touch wood haven’t had that happen to mine and it was brought in the first year of release and has done thousands of hours . Have you got the gpx 4500-5000 punching deeper than the 7000 and giving a better target responce . I do love my 7000 but the really deep targets only give a slight flicker in the threshold which most people miss fortunately.
I think the displays pop due to heat and the weak spot is the longer joins where it can be blown out with heat, and did tests years ago where the 4500 blew the 7000 away on depth testing.

I will definitely miss the 7000 though as it’s found me so much gold compared to other machines. What’s your thoughts on the best machine and mod also what’s it worth to mod one roughly .
