a true artist. People can't understand why BTS is at the top and make ridiculous comparisons. But these guys are so much more than current 'kpop'. I hope one day they'll start seeing and appreciating the artist who really touched hearts instead of chart success and popularity comparison

Absolutely well said for Yoongi exposing his true raw self as a human being instead of idol and showing us his struggles and his honesty is beautiful he’s so talented they are as a group n indivualy
As a psychologist, let me tell you therapy is very essential, not only for someone going through a trauma but also for general problems and to open up publicly takes a lot of courage and i am really proud of you to get through this either by yourself or with the help of an other person.
BTS is the reason I realized I can not will myself through my depression. I have PTSD from my bfs suicide and had depression for 8 years before getting help. It takes strength, but sometimes strength isnt enough and getting help - professional help is important too.
@@ot7stan207 yes very much so. Sometimes its hard to even process what we are going through. It must have very difficult for you but i am glad you took professional help.
this mv made me feel really close to yoongi. it’s nice to see him be vulnerable with us and to share the bad memories to show the reality of things. i will always cherish bangtan and i hope they know they’re so loved even the things they don’t share with us, they’re the most strongest men 💓
My interpretation is that Yoongi's pain, anger and suffering manifested into his Agust D persona and that the scar is a physical representation of that pain and suffering. In this MV, it shows us that the scar is self inflicted and some have assumed that it is in relation to self harm but personally I feel that it just means that Yoongi was forced to deal with his trauma by creating a whole new identity/persona and he chose a scar so that we could easily identify between Yoongi/Suga and Agust D. The shot of him cutting the scar represents him putting on the Agust D mask.
I had the same conclusion. The Agust D persona was created to help deal with/process his trauma. This video gives me chills whenever I watch it. It's hard to process, but he is soooo brave for placing visuals on what he has gone through. It means a lot to many people who are struggling with their traumas, as well. A true artist, just amazing.
This MV was so emotional for me for him for everyone who has struggled mentally ❤ The end of his concert, Suga finally opened and left through that door!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yoongi said that this song is a reminder that the first arrow we can't avoid but it's our choice to not move out of the way for the other ones that come after us. And that's a representation that trauma comes back to us but we can choose to have it over come us or not. Sure it's very hard but if you notice the door was open for Yoongi... He just hesitated. I don't know why his door didn't open but sometimes it's like you want to but you can't. Therapy is essential and I think music really helped him overcome his trauma. In Haegeum and Daechwita they represent that self inflictor of pain... Such as Anger to ourselves... He was able to kill him multiple times... Doesn't mean he doesn't come back. You just have to be strong enough to overcome it.
I said this before during the stream and I'll say it again: Thank you JRE for opening up to us about your personal struggles. You didn't have to, but it made me appreciate you even more. I'm so glad I joined your twitch/discord community. I feel so at home with you guys 💜
I'm sorry about what happened to you jre. Isn't it crazy how these guys are able to make us reflect back on our own lives? I did the same with mine and i still get emotional hearing this song. I love you and yoongi so much.
opening up about how kpop saved you really means a lot.. I got the love yourself heart as my first tattoo because that album literally saved my life. This community is so beautiful and I’m so thankful that through music we all can get through some hard times
The scarred dude is just Agust D, whom Min Yoon-gi created during his depression, these clips starting with Dawchita where he kills himself with a scar, so to speak, showing himself that he has conquered what he was afraid of in himself
I was depressed through my teen years and it just kept getting worse until I hit my early 20's and had a total mental breakdown. Then I had my first panic attack. I have since been diagnosed with 3 anxiety disorders, dealt with a lot of darkness, suicide ideations, clawed my way out and somehow am still here. A big help in healing was literally BTS. Their words, music, lyrics, and just _them_ . Them being funny. Them being weird. Them being kind. Them being them. Them being _real_ . And despite my social anxiety and agoraphobia, I traveled 15 hours by bus to a BTS concert and was okay, because I felt like I was surrounded by friends. I am doctor ordered to take twice the normal amount of vitamin d because I only go out at night, but with ARMY and BTS I didn't feel scared or awkward or judged. I just felt understood. People from all walks of life, there for one reason. I'm glad Yoongi is here with us, I'm glad you're here with us, I'm glad that so many of us are here. Sometimes it's hard to keep fighting, and sometimes people get tired of fighting. And they're not to blame for that. It's okay to be tired. I just hope people remember to reach out for help, instead of letting it win. Because even if it feels like no one is in your corner, I promise you someone is there.
I can honestly say I have watched this video over 50 times and didnt cry...you tho, your story...you had me crying. I have been through it, tried it, overcame it and still crawling up to my own door. I hope you are doing well now too. Yoongi is such an amazing artist and I am SO glad that I found him, all of BTS, when I did because I probably wouldnt have any clue since American radio is crap who wont play BTS unless its all English. Great reaction!
Thanks for opening up and sharing a bit of your story with us, and reminding us that Kpop can be a source of comfort and healing (along with some professional help if we need it).
AMYGDALA MV is a true story life experiences of BTS Suga...its too personal he shared to all viewers, he wants to convey the message that he's like a LOTUS flower...that he never gave up his life...to all those trials that he had been through... BTS suga til then a happy successful life ...he's music had all a deep meaning like BTS RM....
The last couple of weeks have been tough but Yoongi came at the right time because his music is just so healing. I also watched his documentary yesterday and I couldn't stop crying.. He's a true artist that talks about real things so he's one the people I respect the most ♡ Thank you for opening up too btw, I hope everything's better now! We appreciate you a lot for what you do :)
The more I think about AMYGDALA the more I see just how heartbreaking his life truly was. This is so raw and real. The fact he can talk about these things as openly as he is is so brave yet vulnerable. I've always looked up to him and man, this just solidifies why I look up to him so much.
The hardest part for me is him crawling and struggeling so hard trying to escape the pain. He is a true mental health advocate and showing this, bringing it into the public means so much.
Old silent follower here. Thank you for sharing JRE. You are incredibly appreciated and loved ❤. Yoongi does have that effect on people. Let's all lift each other up and be proud of ourselves
How special is this young man? These young men? All you have to do is listen to this/their music and MVs and know. So proud of this incredibly soul baring, beautiful song.
Jre I’ve watched you for a long time I recently lost my dad and it was a hard time and honestly kpop and your videos helped me tremendously through any hardships I have had so I hope you can lean on us like we lean on you thank you for sharing that story 🥹
i was laughing at Jre trying to say the title on stream. Everyone was trying to tell him how. It sounds like A- mig as in rig duh - la like lala you put it together you get Amygdala. But this song is so deep. Yoongi's Agust D albums for me are like layers of an onion for each song is like a layer being pulled until you get to the real Min Yoongi. Their all are some connection to his life story.
JRE, I knew KPop for awhile but I deep dived into K Pop when my mom had her two year battle with Cancer before Cancer took her. I understand why you said it saved you. It saved me too.
I'm so late catching up to this, but I just wanna say thank you so much for sharing your story Jre. You didn't have to, but you chose to share this part of yourself with us, and I really appreciate it. Being a human is really hard sometimes, isn't it? That's what's so important about music like this though, by opening up about his own trauma Yoongi creates an opportunity for us to see ourselves reflected, and that helps us find the strength to share our own stories, and help others feel seen as well. That's the power of art and music.
Whenever there's something I really love that comes out I always want to see your reaction , especially when it's BTS since you have as much love for them as I do. This song, as beautiful as it is, is hard for me to listen to sometimes as it always stirs up emotions but I'm glad and honored that you felt moved to share with us your experiences.
The amygdala is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli , including detection of threat and activation of appropriate fear-related behaviors in response to threatening or dangerous stimuli.. This is really hard for me as an OG. The dark room is the represention of his mind ( in depress mode) I think. There he remembers all the darkest moment of his life. We as a OG ARMY knew about the shoulder of course, the self harmed, the suicide attempt, the mum heart surgery but all this was before BTS debut. Now the scene where he's trying to get out and he couldn't. Remind me of the only time he couldn't perform and was stuck on the bathroom floor crying. And he couldn't make himself leave the bathroom at the concert venue even to perform. Saddest day of my ARMY life. That concert was stop after 2 songs too many thing was going on. One member was at the hospital, Suga locked himself in the bathroom. Member were crying, ARMY was crying. Horrible memory. Suga after that wrote a letter asking for forgiveness and that he is ashamed and want to forget that day (something along those lines.) but it represent also him trying to overcome his depression, wanting badly but couldn't. Thank god his feeling much better. Look how far he comes from having panic attacks to touring on his own. I'm crying for so many reason.
I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for that period because I think that was exactly the same period I watched your channel a lot and kpop and channels like yours was what made me happy at that time so thank you and I'm sorry
Virtual cuddle hug. Just try to remember and take the moment that when moments come back to you that it is not happening now & it's OK to move on from that space and time. Tell your Amygdala to stand down and so something kind for yourself. Laugh or cry or write it out.

I hope to maybe get a tattoo to honor BTS, and had just designed something today that I want to get done.
Actor Yoongi better than a lot of paid actors, the end represents the part of him that will forever be laying on the pavement in the rain after the accident
I think with his interview with RM as the hoste, he said every two or two in a half years… maybe one or one in a half that he has a bad time. It seems he still deals with depression, he just learned how to battle it and accepts that it is a part of him.
