    People are commenting that you should use a gimbal and a better lens, but I think the merit of this video is showing what you get when you just buy the product. No extra accessories to change the out of the box experience. I do think with accessories you can get a better shot with the Sony, but out of the box the pocket 3 just offers an incredible amount of value. For the base versions of both the pocket is the cheaper option. Even with the full accessory kit, once you buy a gimbal and new lens for the Sony you are hundreds of dollars in deeper than a pocket 3.

      @@CreatorsTEKhey! just wanted to say I totally appreciated this video and concur with @jy608042 said, I think this is actually a fair comparison given it's both out of the box options - keep doing what you're doing!!

      Yeah you could get 2-3 pocket 3’s for the price of a zve10 + sigma 16 f1.4 + a cheap gimbal

  • @CartyCantDance
    @CartyCantDance 8 месяцев назад +5

    I have the zve10. It has the potential to do alright in lowlight, but everyone is forgetting the biggest difference: you have to buy an external gimbal. That adds weight, cost, and bulk to your setup. It’s no longer a pocket camera. Not to mention, the 10 bit codec in the DJI will handle lowlight better in terms of chroma noise.
    Out of box, you need to use catalyst browse to stabilize your zve10, and that means your shutter needs to be minimum 1/200 which loses you even more light.
    After iso 2000 on the zve10, it’s barely usable footage. Honestly I think this test was more than fair because if he had tested the ZV-1 which is a more fair comparison… it wouldn’t even be close, the pocket 3 would destroy it.
    Yes a $2000 setup with the zve10/sigma 16mm 1.4/cheap zhiyun gimbal would be better than the pocket 3, but at that point just buy the a6700 or fx30….
    The pocket 3 comes as is and looks this good. That’s insane

      I wish I had more time with the Pocket 3 to continue doing more tests with it, however my time with it ran out. Perhaps eventually I'll get a few extra rounds with it so that I can conduct photography tests with it as well, but in the meantime I would like you to know that with my short time with it, the Sony ZV-E10 outperforms the DJI Pocket 3 when it comes to photography. Both images look nice, however you have much more control with taking the image you want on the Sony vs taking the image the camera gives you on the DJI.
      I appreciate your input and hope I can bring more content to you in the future. Cheers!

    Thanks so much for doing this video with KIT LENS ONLY THATS JUSTIFIES THE PROPER PRICE COMPARISON TO DJI POCKET 3 ❤ UNLIKE USING EXPENSIVE LENS N GIMBAL WHICH ADDS WAY TOO MUCH COST FOR A BUDGET CAMERA BUYERS LIKE ME 😢😅

    I love the zev10 but the kit sense isn’t the worse but it is by far from the best. The pocket 3 definitely offers a better out of box experience. But with something the the 15mm or 11mm f1.8 lens I think the Sony performs better as they are both wide angle lenses and very good. But for the prices of both the pocket t3 might be better for most.

    You should do another video trying to fit the Sony, gimbal and “better” lens into your pockets;-)
    But seriously, for the designed purpose, the OP3 is clearly superior. It’s so far ahead of the Sony that it becomes a bit comical to compare the two.

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад

      As both a Video Equipment and Technology enthusiast, this OP3 is truly something to behold. Ever since I got my hands on the OP1, I had a mental wish list for this camera and with the OP3, DJI finally delivered. This is truly a technological marvel that is accessible to most people. I think it's a matter of time before we see DJI come out with a dedicated camera that takes aim at the typical camera market.

    I still prefer the normal mode of osmo pocket 3 compared t0 low light mode cause in low light mode the video quality is super baked and has a very high noise reduction and oversharpend and looks like an post effect.

    THIS video is what anyone cross shopping the ZV-E10 vs Pocket 3 should watch! I own the ZV-E10 with the kit lens and while I do love it, it's just cumbersome enough that I don't take it everywhere with me and find myself grabbing my GoPro or just my phone when I'm running out the door in order to capture quick clips/pics of family or random moments. While the quality of my gopro/phone may not be as good as what I can get from the ZV-E10, the bad stabilization (unless you wanna deal with catalyst browse or gimbal) ends up making my ZV-E10 footage look like garbage in any real-life scenario with any movement whatsoever. Having said all that, I think the ZV-E10 paired with an 11mm 1.8 and gimbal beats out the Pocket 3 all day and twice on Sundays if you don't mind the hassle of a bigger rig if absolute quality in the end product is what you're after.

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +1

      I love your assessment. The Pocket 3 is definitely more of a 'pick up and play' type of camera that yields great results. Whereas even though the ZV-E10 can be easy to use, you get the most out of the camera by using the manual settings, and boy what a great camera it is. Cheers!

    what is the DR on the pocket

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +1

      I suppose it depends on what metric you use to measure Dynamic Range. Some people use color bit depth to get an idea about this. In this case the answer is that it's capable of 10 Bit D-Log M (Color Mode). I personally like to use the f-stop metric, in which case, I have seen no documentation explaining how many f-stops of dynamic range the Pocket 3 is capable of. I will say, to the naked eye, it has really good quality HDR. I wish I could have been more help to you, thank you for your question.

    I say gimgal the Sony for a decent comparison.
    None of this "price matching" fiasco. Compare them on similar technical features and let the price difference be the disadvantage.
    The Sony ZV-E10 with zero stabilisation and a mini gimbal will be noticeably better than the Dji Pocket 3

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад

      I like your passion! I will attempt to do this comparison request as soon as I get my hands on a gimbal for the ZV-E10 (or another Pocket 3 for that matter). Thanks for watching!

    You need a gimbal apart from a better lens.

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +1

      I completely agree with you and am actually working towards getting both. I should have done a better job of explaining that the merits of this video were to show an 'out of the box' experience from both of these devices. This is part of the reason why I used this lens with the ZV-E10 and no gimbal. I appreciate your input and hope I can do more videos involving more equipment in future videos. Thank you.

    a f3.5 for night recording is not good a lenses with 1.8 would be perfect

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +2

      I agree, f3.5 is the lowest stop this lens is capable of getting. Additionally, I should have explained it in the video, the idea behind using this setup for the ZV-E10 was to show the capabilities of this product when you buy the kit as a whole (which falls closer to the price category as the Pocket 3. Thank you and I hope can bring future comparisons using different lenses as well. Cheers!

    you should use
    F2 (same aperture)
    1/30 (same shutter)
    10mm (exactly equal to 20mm after active stabilization cutting)
    Stabilizer (OP3 also has a stabilizer)
    In this comparison, zve10 will have better picture quality

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +1

      I would like to be able to do that but unfortunately that’s out of the capabilities of the kit lens that is bundled with this camera. The purpose of this video is to show off the capabilities of each camera’s base setup as was set by its manufacturer.
      For this reason I explain during the video that the ZV-E10 can achieve better results using other lenses. I hope to provide a more even comparison (using a better lens and gimbal) in a future video. Thank you. I appreciate your feedback.

      Pocket 3 deserves to be the king. Regarding vibration resistance and compactness. I don't think I need +120 for heavy gymbal products for a quality sony camera there isn't too much of a difference

    In this comparison ZV-E10 looks like a crap... lower quality than 15year phone would shoot on 640x400. I do not understand why everything is OVERexposed by at least a stop at NIGHT! This is insane... But nevertheless Osmo impresses a lot...

    Take this video with a grain of salt as this is not indicative of what the ZV can do in low light. Just google for low light videos to compare and you'll see.
    I'm definitely on the side of get the pocket 3 but this video doesn't do the zv any justice. Not going to mention the whole lens thing because the kit lens is more than capable.
    I'm wondering if you adjusted the auto iso to only go within a certain range. I believe the pocket 3 low light mode stays within 1600 iso tops while auto iso on the sony could be going up to 32,000 unless you adjust the auto iso limits. The iso on the sony looks like its topping out imo which isn't a fair comparison.
    The digital stabilization could be better done.
    Worst of all it looks as if the lens is smudged with how blurry it is. Either something is wrong with how you processed it or the lens was dirty.
    I'm all for getting the pocket 3 as the better all in one package that is easy to bring around but this video is just trash.

    • @CreatorsTEK
      @CreatorsTEK  8 месяцев назад +1

      The lens was cleaned before the shoot (no smudging). ISO was set to full automatic (as stated in the video).
      I also mention that the digital stabilization altered the image quality. More than anything else, I suspect this is why the image doesn’t look as good as it should had it been shot on a gimbal (without digital stabilization.) But this would have defeated the purpose of the ‘out of the box’ experience.
      I’m not trying to make it seem like one camera is better than the other, they each have specific purposes and philosophies behind their design. It just depends on what works best for you.
      Thank you for your input. Cheers!
