      God Bless You Bro, keep on trucking. That Purple Ramblas is very nice, I am very close to buying one, although I have a Level 2 that will be delivered tomorrow or Monday. Aventon's Ramblas is the most revolutionary eMTB ever produced, by far.

    Great review, by far the most thorough take and easy to understand. I’m glad I got my Ramblas when I did. I thought it was difficult to come by before, this positive review is about to make twice as hard to find one at local shops 😂

    Love my Ramblas. The light mount is a bit weak, and should have been made of CNC aluminum. It's the one area that can't be upgraded easily as it has a different mount from even other Aventon models. Mine broke under normal use. I also had some slight issues with the dropper clutch after breakin but nothing big deal. Love the bike!

    I too have this bike and was able to use the stock rims with tubeless ready tires and covert it. I went with the Michelin Wild AM's and love them as I have used them on my standard hardtail. Great overall bike but I however had to swap out the cable housing, cable and dropper post lever in order to get my dropper post to operate properly. Way too much slack shoved into the frame as I quickly found out upon inspection, causing kink in cable. But she's butter smooth now and really enjoying this bike. Turbo mode is EPIC!!!

Am going to fill them with the FlatOut tire sealer. I'm finding the brakes are good but eventually I'd like to install some XT or XTR shifter- derailleur combo because I hate the Sram shifting ..... I have XT brakes and XTR shifters and derailleur on my mountain bike and have always thought that they were the best ..... and my brain is on auto with them. I find the saddle to be perfectly fine right now.

    Great Review. Question I'm 6' 1" and weigh about 172 to 180. Summer heat slims me down. I've been leaning towards the extra large. Would that be a better fit than the large size? At almost 60 like you I just like the flatter trails, no jumps or low jumps and berms. Both colors are good but the Purple pops. Thanks again for the video. Happy Trails. 🤠.

    I nearly purchased an Aventon Ramblas last week, but after a test ride, I decided against it. There was no bike dealers in my town so I had to drive 150 km to Victoria, BC, just to find a bike shop that allowed test rides. Kudos to Aventon for the 100 Nm torque engine, which is excellent for larger riders like myself (220 lbs) when climbing hills. The torque is impressive, but unfortunately, Aventon cut corners on other aspects of the bike. In my opinion, the harmonics and overall ride quality are not well-matched. The cheap front forks combined with the hardtail design make this one of the roughest e-bikes I've ever ridden. I felt every bump on the trail in my wrists and back during the test ride. Additionally, the 100 Nm torque engine sounds like an over-revved electric drill and is much louder compared to other e-bike engines like Bosch or Yamaha. Ultimately, the Ramblas wasn’t the right fit for me, and I ended up finding a better match with a GasGas Enduro on sale. Happy trails, everyone!

    You’re one of the few people who’ve tested the Ramblas and the Summit. Right now, I ride a velotric T1 st and I’m considering another bike. I’m split between this and the summit. My bike use case is a lot of paved and some light trail riding. Mostly paved though. I thought I’d like the higher speed of the summit but now I’m considering that I might actually prefer the mid drive. If you needed one bike to do everything which would you choose?

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  8 месяцев назад +2

      I would go mid drive but it is a very personal decision. I do a lot more mtb riding than road. The summit hits 31mph so it is very quick. But the Ramblas mid drive is super precise for technical trails. Plus the components on the Ramblas are much higherend.

    • @msumacc22
      @msumacc22 8 месяцев назад +3

      If you’re truly looking for one to do it all, I would pick a mid drive over a rear drive just for simplicity of changing flats. Especially if you’re commuting on it.

    Aventon doesn't build their own frame and motor. These are made in China and contracted through 3rd Party manufacturers. Sure, did Aventon help design them, absolutely. But to say they built them is misleading. Also, this is how almost all manufacturers have their products made so it's not abnormal. Very few manufacturers actually build their own products.

    • @RunBikeMike
      @RunBikeMike  8 месяцев назад +8

      They do own the factory for their frames. They design them and build them in their factory. They work with a motor company to make a custom motor just for them.

      They own the plant in China. According to Chief Executive Magazine, they have plans to build a US plant in 2025.
      The founder JW Zhang has deep connections on both sides of the pond being Chinese American.
      The motor is co-produced and manufactured by third party, but the frame is not.

    • @BizarreBear

      Almost every big bike brand uses overseas manufacturing. Trek, Specialised, Giant, Cervelo, most Pinarello models, Santa Cruz, IBIS, and Canyon (just to name a few) all use overseas manufacturing.

      Thank you.....Good review......I ride bikes in general...road and otherwise.....and compared to the BIG Brands this is a cheap and viable alternative.....Ther others just sell names as well.
      I am not sure whether I like a throttle vs pedal assist for a mixed terrain bike, one that I can casually take on a ppaved path or on a gravel path. I also cannot see if their web site offers different forks, tubeless tires, etc. Obviously compatibility matters.....
