Will have fun with this. I’ve always really wanted them bring back the old school Space Hulk game. Maybe someday.
@fumarc4501 This game strikes me as Baby's first Space Hulk. I'm down to introduce people to this and then go "Hey, wanna try something crazy?"
It is a reimplentation of Space Marine Adventures Laberynth of Necros. I liked it, so will likely buy this one too. I know some people felt it was too easy and light of gameplay, but I like it. Thanks for the overview.
It is more of a solo or co-op puzzle, less of a WH game.
Not all Warhammer games are, or need to be, massive battle or skirmish games. GW have made things like this for decades, Warhammer Quest for example…

This is perfect for my 6 year old, wife, and I to play. I feel like its geared more towards that demographic. I feel so bad when my son says he wants to play warhammer but i have a hard time keeping it engaging when I'm having to create the whole scenario myself.
Yea Labyrinth was definitely a hidden gem, and I couldn't understand how anyone called it "a game suited more for children" or too easy. The difficulty modifier options were pretty crazy, playing with them we very rarely survive the full 3 parts campaign and we played that game a lot.
Here's hoping this one is as good.
I've heard that you might be able to use Titus and the gaunts from the target 'space marine' set.
This is a good overview of the game, thanks Becca! While the game itself is a clone of the Labyrinth of the Necrons. The pros of this game is that it has primaris models from the Kill Team: Justian team; the bad side is that the art on the cards (ex: wargear) is gone, its just a block of text vs the Labyringth of the Necrons wherein it has art and then text what the wargear is.

I like it. Its seems like a refreshing space marine game box. But I really hope for simple card game for 40k at some point.
The "Free Bump" GW gives to get more into WH40k, could of at least gave us Nid models as well. Or more unique Space Marine ones.
Well I would usually agree with you, and I still kinda do, but the whole idea of spacemarine adventures is, hat it's the Spacemarine heroes models going on adventures, and that's it basically, it's a low effort easy to get into game, that's aimed at people that might not even be in the hobby but think spacemarines are cool, the box is very small and the marines barely fit in, adding Nids would cause a number of logistical problems, though it would be really cool, it has to be said that all spacemarine adventure games have been like this

I dunno. The last Space Hulk MSRP was $120 in 2009. This is $40, so priced like a board game at Target, rather than a GW starter set. I’d rather not spend $120 or so for a board game that ought to be half that, but it includes figures for a miniatures game I’m not going to play.
This is practically 1:1 rules to Labyrinth of the Necrons. May or may not be a bad thing depending on who you are. I personally liked it but it just begs the question of, why don’t I just play that? Regardless, I’ll be getting this. Doesn’t seem to have the game timer that Labyrinth of the Necrons has which is a good thing.
I think I'll plan on getting it even though I have Necrons. It'll add more variety to both games as you can cross over marines to both.
Yea there is a timer because if all the activation deck runs out the game is over and all space marines lose
I'm surprised they didn't mention that the game includes a card for Lieutenant Titus if you also have the Space Marine box game.

Good summary. The game though... seems like a worse version of Space Hulk Death Angel
I do like the update to the Space Hulk format, getting more gameplay options and tighter missions seems like very positive advancements
