Wow! I had a Cat Eliminator back in the 70s(yes, when I was a kid) that I swapped out the fork from the chopper style front end to give it a better stance. It was a bigger bike than most, and those Cats were heavy duty with strong frames. Back then, you CALLED the factory, found someone who knew something and asked if the forks were mounted the same way! No internet. The answer was "sure". So I ordered and swapped them in. Wish I had pics. Again, back then, no camera in your pocket. Loved that 4HP Tecumseh engine but I pulled the stock clutch which was weak, and replaced with Max Torque. Fun times. And great to see this project!!
Rick, the slingshot came out beautifully brother! That green really looks great in the sunlight. I love the sound of that pipe on the old Briggs. It really fits the theme of the build. Very cool!! ✌🇺🇸
Thank you , A buddy gave me the pipe a wile back , and I’m the same , I keep all the old flatheads I can find , a good place to look is the scrapyard , I have found a lot there and the cost is cheep . Thanks for watching 👍
@BustedKnucklesBuildsTexas yea forsure never know what you will find there I usually pay 20$ for the engines sometimes a little more I get lucky on finding stuff
