I worked at Ford Product Development in the UK. What we did to fix rattling panels was to use star shakeproof washers (with serrations on the outside). Between the panel and mount was optimum, but they still did the trick with the washer between the bolt head and panel. They are not going to prevent a large panel from vibrating, but you could stiffen the panel with bracing to kill vibration. Looking forward to seeing the buggy rip.

Explain to me why ford is soooooo shit and all ur build have recalls and brake downs Bluetooth phones in the cars have been there for years and yeah you guys know how to fix them but you make the dealer get involved instead of you guys fixing it still to this day the Bluetooth technology is useless ford is not what it use to be and who ever invented the territory shout be taken to jail as a lot of lives have been taken from ball joint and bush failure on the high ways at sleeps of 110kms all of them should be taken off the road that are a trap..!!! Ford is 💩💩💩💩💩💩
Btw my partner works in ford too and I here all the secrets everyday and the excuses you guys make so don’t even go there and lie

A cheap but effective way to stop subtle vibrations in panels I found that rubber metal roof washers from the roofing screws on both sides of the panel also works well. I haven't lost any hardware either since I started doing this.

You can't call this a $500 Chinese buggy anymore after you've pretty much replaced almost the entire thing already..... This should be called "The Buggy of Theseus" now, that would be sick. 😂 Awesome build, I can't wait to see what it can do now that it's basically a custom built long travel buggy.... 😁👍

You can put a few small squares of Dynamat type material (or generic Dynamat, that brand is expensive) on metal panels to deaden them from sound vibrations.. It's made for car stereo installations and I used it on that, but I use it on my aluminum skid plates on motorcycles, my PC case, my sim racing rig, a noisy dehumidifier, noisy metal cabinet doors, etc..lots of times you can hide it on the backside of panels. It's heavy but you don't need a lot, no need to cover the entire panel like the directions will say. A few small pieces per panel will do a LOT, it's amazing stuff. I was thinking about making this comment before you were talking about it 26:00 in vid! Try it and see how it goes. 🤘

Yeah, it's kinda of a tricky situation cause it is a full custom build but you built it by replacing each of the Chinese pieces with better materials/geometry one part at a time. So now it's like the the chinese buggys american twin; corn fed and yoked but still only 5'2" and a bit awkward. This project says scope creep in the sense that you had something crap and wanted to make it a little less crap but then one change at a time you ended up replicating a chinese buggy but just not shitty build quality. It's way sick and I'd love to have it but I'd wager next time it would be better to just start from scratch now that you have so much experience with this kind of build.
