Seeing that slow motion of the catch solidifies that as a catch. Ball doesn't move when his arm his the ground, his arm does but he holds onto the ball the entire way.

It doesn't matter what was said. A ref went onto the sideline during a game and had a friendly looking chat with the starting Quarterback of one of the teams. Denver had no chance but this still should not have happened. Anything that was said could have been said on the field.
