I would love to see a guide about your thinking process when you are setting up your bars and macros because i think i have twice as many keys but i fit less spells for some reason.
No because you do a talent swap where you take the talent that has a chance to spawn additional infernals per soul shard spent. And you get the 35 % bonus from the pre pot for your first 8 rain of fires. You don’t get this buff at all anymore due to the talent swap before the key
I dont understand, my soul shards never seem to generate SO abundantly like ive seen in videos like this. I usually get a few rain of fires off and then the shard generation just kind of comes to slow right in the middle of the big pull
The way my soul shards are generating so quick is due to me having a wither/immolate on so many targets. Other than that using conflag charges when I don’t have 3 shards / not shard capped to help regenerate more shards.
If Im understanding correctly, you get a buff with one build, but change to another build and keep the old buff? Locks don't need nerfs over this, but the system shouldn't even allow it. Cool as it may be, Im pretty certain its an oversignt or bug. I doubt Blizz intends for any class to do constant build swaps to be at full power for any content. They should just clear the player of any and all class buffs, pets or anything else that can possibly be altered by talents when you change builds. Sure its a slight inconvenience to rebuff/resummon etc after a swap, but there should be some type of trade off for choosing specific talents over others. You can already swap almost whenever you want to, you should at least have to be dedicated to and restricted by your current build until the next talent swap...
You are correct. I also doubt it is intended and am only doing/showing it to bring light to it. It’s also a little fun to experiment with. I do believe they should change it and your suggestion is spot on!
The shadowburn variation seems like the most optimal in overall dps with my poor execution and pug tanks that o ly do the normal pulls and routes for +10 s i get consistent 1.8m overal dps and i keep about 1.4 to 1.7 in single target boss dps depending on the cd timers
Yeah definitely a popular variant. Me personally I’m not the biggest fan of the shadowburn playstile. Luckily there’s quite a few different builds you can run as destro right now
@tegr1dy CsQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmZmZmZEzmhxsZmZYWmNDmZmFzGLLmZAAAAAzMzsMzMzYBGYWMaMDgZDbYAAAAAAAMzMjBAA tho i swap power overwheliming instead of the imolation dmg buff
Relies on a talent switch trick that lasts 30sec, which is useful for those big bl pull from NW or SV, but not much else. Unless there's 20 target destro AoE is gonna be mid at best. Still interesting to start well tho
No doubt we are crazy good for these keys. Our mass aoe is so strong because it’s uncapped unlike most classes. It still can pull its weight in other keys or smaller pulls with slightly different builds though. I’m working on a destro guide now
@@Enslavedgames unholy DK is the same. Frost is 100% better (if both players are same skill level) until you get to 12+ keys where it’s a pre-planned group and every single pull is strategize and orchestrated beforehand. Unholy DK’s also don’t have an aoe cap, so for those high keys where everyone is in disc, and literally every pull is planned out beforehand, UDK’s can get to absolutely insane numbers. That being said, they’re not the best on single target boss fights, but if you’re doing high M+ then the trash is more important anyways!
I wouldn’t for this build. I do like ashen but I’m running this build due to the mass amount of aoe and the fact that I’ll be spending 70% of my time using shards on rain of fire. So the value I get from pyro is incredible
You need a Sealed Tome of the Burning Legion. It drops from rares on the Isle of Thunder in Pandaria and starts a quest chain (the tome can also be bought on the AH). Once you complete the quest chain, you can switch between green and normal fire by talking to an NPC in Shadowmoon valley.
That’s insane! I got a new best of 24 million on this pull in a 13 nw. Essentially the same pull but with an aug and waiting for them to be grouped before I cast cataclysm. 32 mil is crazy though
In smaller pulls when you don’t have infernal / not use it ,we warlocks as destro are the sad part of details dmg metre. And in movement trash when we use 2-3 rof and the tank has to move to avoid aoe shit I just want to hit my face in the keyboard. Destro aoe needs a rework imo
Plus in lower keys we use 2nd rain of fire and the mobs are almost dead from the instant burst of some other classes. Pathetic aoe only works in specific occasions
Yeah low keys you have no time to ramp to see insane numbers but you can still perform pretty well. I really enjoy hellcaller being viable because you have a somewhat powerful 1 min cd in between infernals to still do pretty good damage!
This AoE is Only Useful and playable in organized keys. keep that in mind. I see soo much destrus in the past seasons who think the spec is Giga every time.
I def agree that it can be situational but this was a pug as well players that have never played together, everyone was great though. But definitely have to play to the specs strengths and if you do it’s really good!
Not necessarily, it’s a cool trick to use but will only work for the first pull. I finished an entire 12 nw over 2.5 mil overall still doing crazy damage on packs later in the duengon without the buff. But it def helps!
With the excess aoe pulls especially in necrotic wake shadowburn just isn’t good value. It isn’t a global you would cast very often so there’s better options. It can still be played in different builds and perform though
This was a pug but definitely great players. I agree very difficult pull. Destro can shine in some uncap aoe but overall it’s not insane. Feel like it’s fairly balanced across the board with a few different build variations that are viable
This AoE is Only Useful anf playable in organized keys. keep that in mind. I see soo much destrus in the past seasons who think the spec is Giga every time.
short, well explained, nice video mate :D
Thanks for this dude. I have loved warlock since 2007 and I can't wait to try this!
just got doubled by a demonology warlock in m+, got madge, found your video and went from 1.4M to 2.2M, epic gamer moment
Thats huge! Good stuff!
Thanks for going over the build
Thank you for the build 🤘

keep up with the amazing content!!
cool and all. but if u pop infernal in ur opener isnt the pre pop useless?

Nice, when the tanks does big pulls it's very good for us Warlock Destructions hehe
Very helpful 👍

you mind sharing your talent tree?
@@tegr1dy he did at start of vid you can see his build

The crashing chaos tech is super useful
It’s huge! Most keys you can get the full 8 stack value out of it
@ @ usually just do a 10 second pull timer. I think realistically it takes about 7-8 seconds
Relies on a talent switch trick that lasts 30sec, which is useful for those big bl pull from NW or SV, but not much else. Unless there's 20 target destro AoE is gonna be mid at best. Still interesting to start well tho

can you link both talent strings :)
I will link this tonight as soon as I’m off work!
I'm telling me kids this is snutz.
Why not start with rof so that can be ticking while you cast cataclysm?
How is the playstile without cata? Best rated locks going that build.
I play cata, were you referring to something else?
instead of pyro can't you go ashen for more value?
I wouldn’t for this build. I do like ashen but I’m running this build due to the mass amount of aoe and the fact that I’ll be spending 70% of my time using shards on rain of fire. So the value I get from pyro is incredible
whats the rotation with this exact build for single target?
Same as normal no?
Essentially same as normal. I’m working on dropping a comprehensive lock guide for both destro and demo , could do aff as well
u say cata, infernal, rain of fire, malevolence, demonfire. but in gameplay u use cata, demon, malevolence, demonfire, rainfire. can u explain?
It's about to get stronger
How do you make your skills green?
You need a Sealed Tome of the Burning Legion. It drops from rares on the Isle of Thunder in Pandaria and starts a quest chain (the tome can also be bought on the AH). Once you complete the quest chain, you can switch between green and normal fire by talking to an NPC in Shadowmoon valley.
^ beat me to it
My AOE is pretty mid but can pop off sometimes playing diabolist but I pump on ST
Yeah diabolist is still bis on single target. I like playing around with both but hellcaller feels so good with the mini dark soul every 1 minute
Seen unholy doing 32 mil on this pull. So it’s not too overpowered
That’s insane! I got a new best of 24 million on this pull in a 13 nw. Essentially the same pull but with an aug and waiting for them to be grouped before I cast cataclysm. 32 mil is crazy though
Me as demology lock are crying 🥲😂 insane work!
LOL! still love demo it performs really well. the one downside is the int is a stun so it makes it hard to group packs especially in a pug
@@Enslavedgames i Love Demo too! For Sure. But 16 million DPS is insane 😅🙏
Why no warlock place in mdi? 😢😢😢
put me in coach lol! I think it has legit play in MDI but ENH Rogue DK def pretty insane on almost all keys.
Mandatory use a warlock in NW
Because lock is only good in NW for first pack
Toller guide..

Warlocks need a buff
Exactly! Loll

I def agree that it can be situational but this was a pug as well players that have never played together, everyone was great though. But definitely have to play to the specs strengths and if you do it’s really good!
so all they have to do is change the buff to be gone with talent change and you don't do any dmg again. cool...
Not necessarily, it’s a cool trick to use but will only work for the first pull. I finished an entire 12 nw over 2.5 mil overall still doing crazy damage on packs later in the duengon without the buff. But it def helps!
This is a bug / over sight and will be fixed
It likely will be fixed, then again DHs have been using meta before the key starts since legion. But the talent swap thing is a bit cheeky
Let’s go
destro and uh dk mdi specs. dont perform to well in pugs
Not the greatest, still can perform but definitely shine in huge organized pulls
Decent damage better nerf warrior
Why not shadowburn ?
With the excess aoe pulls especially in necrotic wake shadowburn just isn’t good value. It isn’t a global you would cast very often so there’s better options. It can still be played in different builds and perform though
Haha but 0.1% of m plus ppl can do this pull without wipe.. and destro only shine on a lot of mobs, good luck to see thus numbers in pugs 🤭
This was a pug but definitely great players. I agree very difficult pull. Destro can shine in some uncap aoe but overall it’s not insane. Feel like it’s fairly balanced across the board with a few different build variations that are viable
Udk - "first time?"
This AoE is Only Useful anf playable in organized keys. keep that in mind. I see soo much destrus in the past seasons who think the spec is Giga every time.
It feels so rewarding when you have a great group. But I’m also stuck in the pug life so trust me I feel the pain lol
Enhancement Shaman does 22mil dps on that Pull. YOur dmg is not broken. Loot at Gingi Stream.
Yeah no lie enhance is pretty insane. If the pull was done cleanly could have surpassed 20 mil but enhance best class rn forsure
nerf warlocks
Please Dont lolll
