Another great episode! Unc sound impatient and that's the problem with our fanbase. Folks got to learn how to stand pat and let these young guys learn together. It's frustrating hearing folks talk like that and expect greatness. You got to slow cook it and not microwave it.
I get where he is coming from. At the start of the season I was going nuts because we had like 9 players drafted in the first round within the last 3 years. Collecting draft picks is fun, but you won't win consistently with a super young roster. I do disagree with the thought of getting rid of any of the 6 we have right now. Maybe Jalen after next season, but NBA players are never the best version of themselves (barring injury) until their mid 20's and we have a long way to go till that point. Also this coaching staff has shown the ability to improve players in ways that I thought was impossible for them to improve. Jalen became a serviceable defender, like what? How!?
I don't understand how you upgrade Sengun though. People talk like we can walk into a department store and purchase a shiny new Shaquille Oneal. Getting those superstar bigs takes 1 of 2 things. Luck or Time. Jokic was NOT the guy everyone loves now in his 3rd season. Denver fans liked him yes, but the league was not on board yet. Sabonis was not considered a top center 4-5 years ago. Nobody wanted Valanciunas until he became a 35% 3pt shooter in his EIGHTH year. I'm sorry but serviceable big men do not fall off trees, you either get lucky with a lottery pick or be patient with it. Sengun is developing faster than normal, and I really don't want to go back to the PJ Tucker at center, 5 out 0 in, style of play ever again. That looks nice, and is entertaining to watch, but Never fucking works. Edit: After looking at stats I take back what I said on Sabonis. His stats have been extremely consistent since his 4th season, he's currently in his 9th season and is about to be 28. I thought he was older than that. Still Alperen's 3rd season mirrors or exceeds' Sabonis in pretty much every category, except 3's.
My ideal off-season would be trading green and sengun + whatever else it takes minus the other 4 young guys for Trae young or Donovan Mitchell + KAT or myles turner

Lakers and GS are on the backend, thus their 9th and 10th place in the West. I think the Rockets can finish in 6th place next season
Jabari's missed FT's was brutal
Light the fuse 🚀
