Thank you Chioma. My husband is a Family Physician and age 56. We would love to relocate to Australia. So I will be looking forward to your DAMA video. Shalom
Thanks Chioma. My spouse who is an accountant and a business Analyst will be 45 in 2 years. We have been thinking about the best pathways for him to come into Australia and work full time. Now we know better. Thanks again
O wow... that is so good. You have jus covered the content in such a structured way that I am impressed and I know, what you are talking about. It seems that you have studied Migration Law already. :) Thanks for making this video.
You know what, you are God sent, just wondering how to get your personal handle to ask you this question and then: I found this,God bless you greatly, thanks for all you do,I sincerely appreciate you 💕
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, I do not know any schools offering sponsorship. You may have to research that yourselves. You may want to focus on schools in designated regional areas.
Hi Chioma, girl, my mum is 52 and she has a bunch of degrees and a bunch of experience. I would love to come to Australia and live there with her. Do you think that she'll have a chance?
I am 43 and trying on 190/ 491 as marketing specialist at 70 points. My agent told me to forget it… he said with work visa 482 is only up to 3 years then No PR pathway. not even tell me this info…
Hi chioma, I have a question and it's not about being over 45 I am studying diploma in mental health in Sydney and I scored a 7 in each band in my IELTS exam..I did this course because of the fees..I would like to know what should I do next so that I can start my journey to pr...should I change my course and apply for bachelor's in social work after I complete my course using my English test..or what can I do to pursue a course which can give me pr..Moreover my visa is temporary which is only two years..please advice me
Hi Vie, check if your Diploma is listed as an accredited and accepted qualification for any of the PR eligible occupations that are assessed through ACWA. If it is, then you can explore PR after your current studies; otherwise, you may consider getting the Bachelor of Social Work after your studies.
Hi Chioma, my question is about going to Australia with my mom. I enrolled in a business and trade diploma but want to study psychology, social work is also on the table. If possible I’d want to apply for PR but the issue is that I want to take my mom with me. She’s 63 years old, she’s a taxi driver and not incapable at all. She wants to keep working but I think i’ll be able to support her if she doesn’t find a job. Is it possible for her to go and apply for a PR with me or after (if) I get it? I hope you can understand my situation and if you know the answer please let me know. Thank you for your videos, they are really helpful!
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately I can't give any expert answer regarding the situation with your mum. Given her age, I am unsure if the usual pathways for PR will be appropriate for her. On the other hand, it may be possible to include her in your PR visa if you can prove she is your dependant (but this is only a wild guess!) Please seek advice from a qualified migration lawyer
my husband is a nurse and turning 45 years old early next year. is there any chance for him to get PR when he will take aged support? please enlighten us..
He might stand chance through regional employment sponsorship. I will recommend that you look at opportunities in Northern Territory, also considering what I shared in tjis video and the one after it. Thanks
We would like to migrate in Au, however we are skeptical because of our age. My husband is 43 civil engineer with 10 yrs experience, and i am 44 yrs old
Well, you can give it a shot through the Dama Labour Agreement. The 482 visa also does not have age restrictions and though it is a temporary visa, it may lead to PR through the 186 visa
I was in Australia on work visa 482 in 2014-15 for 9 moths, now i am 48 and again on work visa from past 2 months, my 482 is valid for next two years. Can i get a PR if my company sponsors me ? Please reply.
Thanks for the info. However, I have a question pls. I am an aged care registered nurse working in sydney for nearly 3 yrs. If I am turning 55 in 2 months time, am I still eligible for DAMA visa? Pls. advise. I would really appreciate it.
Age concessions on DAMA labour agreements cap at 55 years, so except you are able to find an eligible employer on the DAMA agreement who is willing to sponsor you before you turn 56, the chances are slim to be honest.
@@lifewithchioma Thank you but I am quite confused since some migration agents are telling me that I must be below 55, meaning I should not yet have turned 55 when I apply coz I still need to find an employer, pass the english test which I think would not be an issue for me since I was able to score 7 in PTE. Thanks
You are cristal clear with your talk. THANKS..very nice english phrases uused like hold your horses😊 may I know about me I'm 43.7 years and will be 44 in August ....I'm mechanical engineer by qualification and having experience of Technical sales anzsco code 225499 of 17 years ....will I get some PR....still nothing done for PR process....do Technical sales representative are getting nomination .....Thanks
Hi, thanks for watching. Unfortunately I don't know much about requirements for specific occupations including Technical Sales. Please read up on the skills assessment requirements for your occupation.
Yes, you can apply for PR as long as you can return a positive skills assessment through the AASW (you don't need work experience for that). Also you must be able to reach the cut off of 65 points for PR to be eligible to apply.
