I never get tired of listening to Bach pieces played by you, Gert. Thank you for posting. The organ of the Martinikerk Doesburg is beautiful and sonorous.

Oh wow! Thank you, Gert, for this powerful and uplifting music. You make it look easy but I know you have worked hard, not just to produce the notes as written, but also to perfect the registration, to add expression and personality to all the parts and then play from your heart. Basically, I think that's how Bach would have wanted to hear it. That organ did it justice too!! Thank you (and thanks to Leendert and Samuel)

IMHO, Bach is the greatest composer.
I too think Bach is the greatest composer but I have limited knowledge. I find his music so very moving.

Hallo Terry, danke der Nachfrage! Wir sind hier alle gesund, ich hoffe du auch! Im Allgäu (etwa mittig zwischen München und Bodensee) haben wir auch Schnee, aber nicht sehr viel. Es sind schon wieder viele grüne Lücken in den Wiesen, aber vielleicht schneit es ja nochmal. Ich wünsche dir alles Gute!

Nothing like Bach being played on a beautiful large organ. The number of stops and setting is amazing. Beautiful church too with it's simple architecture. So many are highly decorated. Thank you Gert!
I have recordings of this piece from great organists since 1950. It is actually unnerving how dynamic and organic Gert is against all comparisons. Pedal balance, stops, pace, life, beauty!!!!!

C'est très bien, mais je vous assure qu'il n'y a pas besoin de marquer les phrasés avec des ponctuations du corps. ça n'apporte rien à la musique.

That is "his" style and has been for years. A lot of musicians have their own way of displaying their passion for the music. Playing music requires fluidity.
