Seems like they really, really wanted the player to struggle in this part. There are like 20 directions to go in and nothing is clear.
I swear, this area is not only really confusing but also incredibly boring. The initial awe of the beautiful landscape just immediately turns into samey-looking brown hallways and big, empty environment. Not a whole lot of secrets, not a whole lot to explore, not a whole lot of... anything. And the places that you can go to just turn out to be dead ends. This area somehow managed to be even more of a slog than Mountaintop of The Giants.
I saw the big fire furnace in the distance and just ALT F4'ed the game, because I know it was going to be 10 minutes of boring jumping and hitting a leg and I was just too tired of it since I've done it 4 times already. this DLC is really leaving a bad taste in contrast to the main game, idk why.

Bro i learned this trick the other day from somebody: if you stand directly on this locked spiritspribg and used Margit/Mogh's shackle, somehow it will break the required stone. It's like uding the shackle on a hidden door
Can confirm it works. Don't know how, but I'm not complaining. Been stuck for over an hour trying to find the rock lol. Thank you so much dude

Nah, you can just simply explore. The area is basically a big circle/loop. If not then use one of the shackles!
Tip: Just use Margit/Mohg's Shackle to break the stones. It has a huge AOE.

If you mean the big green areas on the map, yeah they're just underground stuff.

I … cannot ….. believe this area … was harder with 11 levels of scadurtree upgrades … the fat ugly enemy has the most poise I’ve ever faced on a souls game. The furnace wasn’t even hard. Bro I beat BAYLE. And that mf was giving me backshots for about an hour because of his poise and dmg. (Brought out Rashaka armor + twin axes did a good job)

I know that's a lot of complaining, but why do I have to watch a YT video for something like this? With all the other "blocks" the unlock point was always nearby. No, now it feels like you have to go to the other side of the map?! Why??

On the map if you look north of Raul Ancient Ruins East grace, I see a giant green field looking area. Is that area accessible?

what a shitty level design this DLC has. most of the time I'm trying to get to some place but I can't, trying to find a way, only circling around same places over and over, realizing I wasted 2 hours of my time with nothing to show for. I don't remember it being this bad in the main game. this is not "exploration", this is just cock and balls torture

"nearby spiritspring" is 2 miles away
It is nearby if you don't walk all the way around like a madman. Its just above and 100m South. You can get there from the ruins north of the spirit spring

There’s a lever on the right of the ‘wall’. I was confused too
You can avoid doing this by using mohg’s or margit’s shackle on the sealed sprit spring
