If Johnny loses, it will not only be a slap to the face for real female DV victims who Amber mocked-it will also show men that they will not be believed or saved by the justice system when falsely accused. It will also show men that they themselves can’t be seen or taken seriously as victims of DV. And that breaks my heart.

My heart goes out to JD. Having grown up in an abusive home, I know first hand the coping mechanisms learned early on that are then brought into adulthood where they play out over and over again without really understanding why. As the abused child grows up, they choose partners that feel comfortable. Comfortable doesn't mean comfort, it just means a sense of normalcy as we understand it. That being the case, we end up choosing abusive partners because it feels like home. That is how and why JD ended up with and stayed with her as long as he did.
As a woman who has experienced real abuse, listening to Amber made me physically ill because I could almost feel her lies. She is the most narcissistic woman I have ever seen. She has no empathy and almost every word screamed of theatrical bullshit. She does not represent victims of domestic violence. She is a perpetrator of domestic violence.

    • @Moversandahakers

I used to believe this but I’ve been going back re-watching, reading UK judgement. AH was also abused as a child by her father, I think it’s important we mention they both came from abusive homes. If your open, google and read the UK judgement. It made me realize how crazy it would be that she was setting him up for years during their relationship and also the way he treats his employees and the fear and power he has over people around him. I believe this is much more complicated than any of us know. JD wanted his reputation back, he did that, but to say he’s a helpless victim of Ambers, no longer makes sense to me. He won legally, he had better lawyers. I’m also a survivor of DV I have no evidence, it’s my word against his, I never called police, told my doctors, it was before photos on cell phones so I have none of this…so I feel that people blame her for not having enough evidence seems irrelevant.

The UK trial was a complete joke (for several reasons) and it's not just about Heard not having video or photos of the alleged abuse/injuries; it's about the fact that there is a substantial amount of evidence proving that SHE is the abuser and has told far too many manipulative lies to even count, plus the fact that there is testimony from several witnesses and other evidence that completely contradicts/refutes her bogus claims! I know it is a year after everything happened, but I sometimes come back to this trial and I just found your comment and it actually made me cry. Cause what you said, is exactly what I have experienced. I grew up in a very abusive home and entered several toxic and abusive relationships after that. Now I have finally found a partner, that treats me with lots of respect. He protects me and would do anything for me and also gives me lots of compliments and tells me to be proud of myself, for what I have survived, but I always have the feeling that something seems to be missing, even when I couldn't have found a better partner. It is very hard to except a new norm, even if it is actually the right and healthy path for you. It is also really hard to understand, that I am worth it and that I deserve to be treated, like he treats me.
I sometimes feel really bad, cause I sometimes find myself missing the adrenaline from the fights and the drama, which obviously just sounds awful and doesnt make any sense, since I have always wished for a "normal" life and a good partner, who supports me and is good to me. I also often times get annoyed, when my new partner offers me help or even if he just asks me, if I am okay...I am just not used to someone actually caring about that and I feel weaker in these moments, than I have ever felt during the abusive moments.
Just because of your comment, I finally feel, that I am not alone with these thoughts and I actually feel less awful. You also made me understand the reasoning behind it all. Never in my life would I have thought, that I needed the abusive behavior to feel at home..... (sry, if my grammar is not correct btw.. I am german)
That all said: I never want to go back to my old norm and will continue to learn how to love my new, nonabusive life!
Btw. Just Ambers facial expressions alone already give me the chills. It reminds me of the way, my ex-partners sometimes looked at me. So much hatred in the eyes and they have a subtle way of showing, that they think, that they are better then you and that you are worth nothing.

I thought I had been having OBEs out of body experiences for over thirteen years meeting up with Depp, the first we were in a cafe small tiny piazza setting, some people were dancing infront of us & he was at a small table next to my small table, he turned a bit and said a few things about the people dancing to me, I said a few things back and he leant over with his hand to shake and said 'Hi, I'm John'. After that I met him many years which I realised the other day was way more than thirteen years, it's over 15 years now. All sorts of scenarios including one where he could not see me, I saw his then partner Paradiso backstage at a theatre having her hair blow dried, he and her had a row and a daughter of theirs was in the bathroom. Something not good happened which I wont go into as its very personal, I was trying to help him but he could not see or hear me and passed me on some stairs from where I was watching it all unfold. Not so long after in real life they were rumoured via the press to of split up. I continued to have these OBEs & in them we became firm friends. In ome we went to a house I think he must of owned, it had cool sort if antique decor and we laid the table for his family and some friends to come to dinner, I got the feeling it was in another country, may of been France, could of been somewhere else. I only had one where Amber Heard was in it, again this coincided at what must of been in retrospect I found out after when they had broken up. He was sitting on a child's raised toe of tombstone holding his knees on it, very upset, begging me to talk to her and tell her was sorry. I told him I was really sure she wouldn't listen to me but he was his head back and forth in his hands begging me. Ok I said and asked where she was, he pointed up & said there in the top of the building. The building was really quite high, so i said ok john I'll try but i can't promise anything. I found Amber heard in this OBE just as John had said on the top of the building, on some sort if an open terrace. I explained he was my mate and said he just wanted to see her and daily sorry that he was really sorry and needed to see her. She refused point blank and was very nervous but adamant that was it so to speak. She had no makeup on and was wearing normal blue denim jeans and a white t shirt.

Every should ask themselves about Amber’s character. She claims she is strong and she was never a victim. She is intelligent enough with narcissistic behaviour and only after financial security. If she was really abused in every way she states then she had a choice to leave but she loved to be famous and to have luxurious life. I was in a emotional abusive relationship with 2 young kids, health issues ( cancer) and I had all the money anyone can imagine. I chose to walk away from everything I owned to save my sanity and my health and the future for my kids. That’s why her story is unbelievable and her behaviour proves differently. They are females and men abusers. 🙏🏻

So after all she's done, people think it's right for her to get away with it because Depp has 'abused her emotionally'?! The guy never hit her and as a man he could've lost it because he knows he has the power to. But did he hit her? She hit him, but a woman (usually weaker muscle-wise if untrained) swatting at a man or slapping the back of his head is not as physically injurious as a man (usually stronger muscle-wise even if untrained) doing the same to a woman.
It's not even about Whether the person doing the hitting is a man or a woman, it's about whether the person doing the hitting is Physically Formidable or not.
So when Amber heard said that she hit him, I don't think she broke skin, you know? I don't think she did significant harm When she did hit him.
On the other hand, there is evidence that Suggests Johnny did hit her which would be way worse than her hitting him (with her bare hands).
Still... if she did hit him the way he described she had (minus the finger-cutting) she genuinely makes me... sick. A man who won't hit back, or put his arms up to protect himself is at that moment the vulnerable one in the equation. I dont care how many muscles pulsate as his biceps bunch up, eyes are still delicate and easily damaged and have no muscles. A nose is fragile no matter the person. If the stronger person won't hit back or defend himself, then they are the weaker one and they should not be taken advantage of by anyone.

But Amber’s last cross-examination, she said something that I thought marked the end of her case. When, while directly referring to Johnny Depp and “the power he has,” “his power,” Amber Heard said “That’s why I wrote the op-Ed.”

Yep. I dated someone who was recovering from narcissistic abuse. His ex would say/do ANYTHING to win a fight, even if it it meant burning the house down in the process. Admission of any wrongdoings was extremely rare and only done as leverage to get something else. The reason my ex never fought her in court is because he knew she would bring the kids into it and use them as pawns, as she often did. This would be too painful for them.
This type of abuse and gaslighting causes the victim to blame themselves, and apologize in an attempt to appease the insatiable abuser. Self worth goes out the window. Substances can become a coping mechanism. Everything about Johnny’s story including the substance abuse getting out of control, and the hiding, shows he was reliving childhood trauma and just trying to escape.

I think Amber said it best herself when asked if she leaked the video and alerted tmz for photo ops: ‘What genuine victim of DV would do that’. No genuine victim would do that especially leaving an apparently extremely violent abuser as everyone knows often the most dangerous times for DV victims is when they leave. A genuine victim is just going to want to leave and put it behind them as quickly, discreetly and safely as possible if their abuser is a “powerful man with connections”. If Amber held true fears of Johnny destroying her career, reputation and never letting her go then she wouldn’t want to do anything that would prolong or agitate the divorce process and moving on.
Amber is not a genuine victim and it’s certainly seems extremely plausible that Amber and/or her team were behind the leaks of locations for photo ops, the video and photos to people magazine.

As a survivor of domestic violence, I do not believe Amber Heard. I would do anything possible to de-escalate my ex partner. She escalated, used verbal and physical assaults. That is the behavior of an abuser. He told her repeatedly he wanted a divorce. I was on the fence until now. Men are abused and rarely report it due to shame. The abused carry the shame, not the abuser. Think about this.

      100% agree
When you are petrified of somebody who is so unstable you live in constant fear and walk on egg shells. I remember I would always be mindful of how I spoke and made sure that I was really clear because I was petrified he could take what I said in the wrong way and the result of that would be my face black and blue. When you are punched in the face like she explains it’s amazing what actually happens in that moment and how “purple and blue” your face INSTANTLY is. Contrary to her testimony.

Omg I cannot agree with you more. I am also a survivor of physical and sexual abuse. I would NEVER talk to my abuser that way, or hit him multiple times, etc. I was submissive and do whatever my abuser told me and I would walk on egg shells and do everything possible to not upset him because I knew if I did he would beat the shit out of me
