After torturing myself reading the ETM for my 2001 Z3, I reached this summary: Ignition: 4 rt (hot ) 30=hot + 2.5 vi (acc ) r=acc, run or start .5 gn/ws (n/a ) 15i=run 2.5 gn (run ) 15=run or start 2.5 sw/ge (start ) 50=start instrument cluster: .75 br (gnd ) 31=gnd + .75 bl/ws (cluster) Meaning that: Red + Violet = Acc (permanent) Red + Violet + Green = Run (permanent) Red + Violet + Green + Black/Yellow = Start (momentarily) I don't like the 3 button sitiuation so I will Programm an esp32 chip to toggle/untoggle the Acc and Run switches automatically before/after i push the start button so that I will end up with only 1 button like modern cars. Also will hook it up to my phone via wifi
so basically: Red + Violet = ACC (First switch) Red + Green = Run (Second switch) Red + Black/Yellow = Start (Thirt switch) ... am I right ?... Btw, where is ground here ?
The actual lock mechanism was broken for me so I just had the key next to the key radio receiver. I did not circumvent the resistor in the key or whatever that overkill tech is.
cool videos man keep them coming soon you should have more subscribers
hey thank you i did this on my e36 and your vid helped me a lot.
+1
After torturing myself reading the ETM for my 2001 Z3, I reached this summary:
Ignition:
4 rt (hot ) 30=hot
+
2.5 vi (acc ) r=acc, run or start
.5 gn/ws (n/a ) 15i=run
2.5 gn (run ) 15=run or start
2.5 sw/ge (start ) 50=start
instrument cluster:
.75 br (gnd ) 31=gnd
+
.75 bl/ws (cluster)
Meaning that:
Red + Violet = Acc (permanent)
Red + Violet + Green = Run (permanent)
Red + Violet + Green + Black/Yellow = Start (momentarily)
I don't like the 3 button sitiuation so I will Programm an esp32 chip to toggle/untoggle the Acc and Run switches automatically before/after i push the start button so that I will end up with only 1 button like modern cars. Also will hook it up to my phone via wifi
How does that work for e46
so basically:
Red + Violet = ACC (First switch)
Red + Green = Run (Second switch)
Red + Black/Yellow = Start (Thirt switch)
... am I right ?...
Btw, where is ground here ?
Did you figure it out?
How can you start the BMW with the key but without the chip that's inside of the key?
The actual lock mechanism was broken for me so I just had the key next to the key radio receiver. I did not circumvent the resistor in the key or whatever that overkill tech is.
you do not have a description of colors as connect to the switches? 1. position? 2.position? somehow I do not understand :-)
yeah, it was confusing. I would advise testing the terminals yourself with a multi-meter.
what kind of soldering iron is that?
its a Weller, it goes up to 300watts
Ha Ha awesome just what I needed. what I asked from the first video
Dude thank you
Need light
I can’t see shit bro!
