I feel like Olimar is kinda like Shulk where the 5 colours telegraphs to the opponent what they want too much. Still really good and solid characters; (probably bottom top tier or top high tier) but they are pretty outdone compared to their flaws and being outclassed by better characters. They are both also hard to learn/pilot
Prepatch Olimar was truly peak Ultimate, we will always remember that beauty 😔 Great video, I agree, the issue with Olimar is mostly just being power crept and not having enough to push to keep up with the meta, especially if when the way the meta is advancing is super punishing to his weaknesses. Honestly very similar to Joker in that regard.
Heya Everyone!, Dabuz's editor here! Hope you enjoyed the final Meta Review of 2023! We've got some really fun content planned for December, hope you all enjoyed the series so far, would love to see who you'd all love to see in "Season 2"!
Great work on these videos! I would be interested in seeing a series similar to this exploring how certain characters that have fallen off may be able to adapt and come back to the meta.
Look 2:34 Dabuz restarted his sentence and you didn't cut that. The same happens a few seconds later. And it maybe happens even more, it's just where i'm at, and it makes me mad.
olimar is “bad” because the meta is all about playing a great advantage rn and he doesnt do that very well himself, he even has a predictable disadvantage and win conditions in last hit scenarios neutral was way more important early meta cuz no one could keep their advantage for as long as they do now and thats where olimar thrives, just keeping people sitting in a corner scared of taking damage from pikmins, but now as long as you get a reversal as any character with good stats you just start to push your own advantage from there and they get a lot more from it so they arent as afraid of losing neutral as they were before vs these slow characters that cant catch their jumps or outrange them, as long as they know they can get an easy reversal bc u cant keep your own advantage theyre fine with going with that
If the Pikmin were not so fucking stupid/unreliable and each had 5 more hp across the board my boy would be solid. They made the pikmin too slow and weak.
Because his ship crached
Hi, Dabuz, what an amazing video! I personally don’t like Olimar too much, except when you play him of course! Thank you, Dabuz.

Title: “THIS IS WHY OLIMAR IS BAD”
CLICKBAIT :)

Less of a "why has x character fallen off?", but rather "Has Roy Fallen off in The Meta?"

This is Exactly why I choose to use Alph instead.
because literally everyone hates olimar, until they see dabuz olimar and respect
Shimmy tier list would be goated tbh
Also the fact that the oponent can just kill the pikmin
Update: Candle won Honeypot 6. Ban this video.

Can you talk more about down b?? I feel like it’s such a useless move
But it literally has armour which saves oilman players ass from time to time
It has armor on frame 2 that can be used to escape combos.
Also used for optimal pikmin management(speeds up purple farming).
He used to be really hard to get in on. Now it feels like I just need to do a good double jump bait and im in there. His defenses are too weak
If the Pikmin were not so fucking stupid/unreliable and each had 5 more hp across the board my boy would be solid. They made the pikmin too slow and weak.
Purple Pikmin are basically lumas and kill very early tho and the rest either combo or kill on their own they're good enough
High key you should make a video about little Mac fr
"tragic"
Matched into alph yesterday as g&w and he could hit me 💀
Tldw: He's basically Dhalsim
propaganda
based.
olimar is not a bad character
Cope
So he got DLC2'ed? Lol. Almost every character unfortunately
