- Klumbo is a hard-boiled renegade cop who lives on the edge, plays by his own rules, and doesn't answer to anybody. Or something like that, I wasn't really paying attention.

The "One More Thing" joke at the end might not hit so hard right now, but give it a few years. People in September of 2027 are gonna love it.

Boy I can't wait until September of 2027
Going to hold you to your words! Sdrords!
Oh boy.
Checking in here so I can come back in 4 years.
You are 100 😑
The bit where Columbo says "Look what I got here" and then spends a full 30 seconds searching his pockets made me wheeze so hard it hurt
then they say "you're searching but you'll never find it" and that's when they find it
and when they get it out what is it? "glasses, they're glass. wow. put your finger on it"
"no, i never liked them"
"oh, sorry sir"
another honorable mention is when columbo (being the detective) says lipstick is sludge, but this guy already knows, because hes the one that told him
I expected him to pull out and say “Book”
That was supposed to say; pull out the Priness Bride and say “Book”
His name is Klumbo
"This dog is a dog." Klumbo is the greatest detective ever.
"You see the man? He's not a dog!"
Amazing observation skills.
The greatest dogtective
Bros the goat, Sherlock Holmes ain’t got nothing on Klumbo
1:08 and look at that, he's already found the killer! Truly his detective skills know no bounds!
@@yoitsSmitty2004nah wrong
The fact that Columbo’s dog is genuinely canonically named simply “Dog” makes the dog section even funnier than it already is
The _moment_ I heard muppets Columbo say "the jerk circus" I knew he would be saying "the jerkus" at some point
That scene was from the 1981 theatrical film, "The Great Muppet Caper".
“That jerk Bernie, he went and joined Journey” killed me
It's amazing how their dialogue somewhat makes sense and is a complete nonsense at the same time.
DaThings dialogue has entered into its own universe. It feels like a twin language or something.
A complete nonsense. A complense, if you will.
that tends to be how good YTPs turn out.
I mean, that's kinda how words work, you say what you said about a senseless sense of dialogue that is sending sensitive sensations to your receptors and you understand through your sense. Got it?
Everything upside down, sir!
"I think you killed your wife's dreams."
That's all I needed to hear, lock him up.
@GolemAvalanche That's marriage for you.
Nevermind the fact that Klumbo directly told him that he was the one who actually killed the wife.
1:24
“I warn you, I intend to paint.” -me pulling out my tablet for an all night drawing sesh when I have work the next morning
4:04
"Can I see?"
"Maybe, don't expect to find your portrait."
Me when someone wants to see my sketchbook when they asked If I could draw them just a few minutes earlier.
Took me the whole minute to remember that you didn't insert Kermit into YTP - that was a real fucking scene that fucking happened.
Now I’m thinking about watching Prawn Srars 2 for the first time and thinking that I Carly were edited in
That was from "The Great Muppet Caper" [1981]
@@bobmcguffin5706hahaha
This video taught me that that guy on the bench was Peter Falk.
Edit: Just a special thanks to DaThings for getting me to look up that clip for the first time in decades, I did NOT remember the laundry story.
Columbo spent so much time trying to find his glasses that the guy had to change his shirt.
You mean Klumbo
you know ma'am, I have a niece that makes things like this. now I don't mean to be crass ma'am but she calls them "youtube poops". now I don't know what they have to do with feces but they really are something. there was one line that really stuck out to me... "dinner". now I don't have to tell you ma'am that that sort of peace is what all true sus strive for. ah, I can see I'm bothering you, I'll get outta your hair. oh but just one more thing ma'am, and I don't wanna be rude, but it seems to me that you are all out of rubies.
Oh, I should have you over for dinner some time, my wife makes lotsa spaghetti!
as someone who grew up watching Columbo with his grandma, this is PEAK COMEDY AND VERY ACCURATE TO HOW IT FEELS WATCHING THE SHOW AT 5 PM WHEN YOU'RE DEHYDRATED AS HELL
Grandma never offered you a drink?! 😂
Looks like grandma lived in a desert 😂😂
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley No drinks. Only food.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley
I’m not really qualified to talk about that either.
I unionically agree.
Oh, just one more thing... How DID those shrimps fry that rice?
"Work road ahead"? I sure hope it does.
If Wood Fired Pizza… how do you expect Pizza to get a job now?
"Y'know, my wife recently rented a new apartment complex. Gah... I never could understand those things. But my wife (bless her), she says to me, 'I don't find them complex at all! Actually, I find them quite simple.' Now ain't dat somethin..."
haha yes it certainly is something, Lieutenant. Will that be all? @@bugjams
Police reported ahead? Well, I sure hope it's still attached to a body.
I had no idea how badly I wanted a columbo ytp. Columbo is so good.
Columbo's a hack. He cheats by watching the beginning of every episode.
@@imveryangryitsnotbutterhacker*
Was waiting with baited breath for the inevitable "Jircus" and you didn't disappoint.
If he's anything like me, he probably does stuff like that in the middle of IRL conversation.
@@bcj842 *she, DaThings is a lady.
DaThings has caused me to constantly fuse words together like that. It's a blessing and a curse
We love portmanteaus around these parts
@@xBIGFLATSx DaThings has caused me to fuse! it's a blurse.
I love how when it gets to the Great Muppet Caper part, it's edited so seamlessly that it almost looks like Kermit appeared in a Columbo episode
I was thrown off for a moment
I had assumed Columbo appeared on Sesame Street
i was almost surprised there werent any clips from the princess bride, there are some great lines from columbo grandpa
@@littlesnowflakepunk855dathings already did a princess bride video, so maybe the idea was not to repeat too much of the same material
0:20 - 1:00 To any layman, this could passed off as an actual Columbo dialogue. I love this so much. Hopefully you branch off for more of this, or more 80's series
It’s amazing how that whole sequence perfectly describes every time Columbo first talks to the suspect even though it made no sense at all
Everything upside down sir
You’ve drawn a link in my mind between Columbo and Monogatari
Isn’t it a 70’s show?
"Are we getting back to The Man From U.N.C.L.E. sir?" "You may be shocked." of all the jokes for me to understand
1:48 Took so long for Columbo to search his coat that the painter had to change shirts.
"An uncle that isn't an uncle that isn't a nun" sounds like the character is misremembering -Mr Brightside- Somebody Told Me

Detective Klumbo, the Detective of all time.
"If they ever gave an award for the dog, he would win the grand dog. When it comes to dogs, this dog . . . he's the dog." I am absolutely using that.
Klumbo moved so much while sitting for his portrait it made the artist paint his own shirt a different color!
2:40 As an uncle who isn't an uncle who isn't a nun, I can confirm that that is a dog
But the man, he's not a dog
@@SoZettaSlowYou're the man now, dog.
@@doomsdayrabbit4398You’re the dog now, dog!
You have no idea how excited I was by the title, immediately knowing it was Columbo.
...oh, and just one more thing. I hope you are doing well, DaThings.
The use of chord progression in that YTPMV actually made Baby Shark fun to listen to! I never though I’d see the day.
Xanadu being mixed in makes it much more interesting and nice to listen to.
One more thing- could ya send this to that “Gianni” guy? He- he’s done some amazing woik with those voice overs…
Real splendid fella’.
Seconded
Once he said “jerk circus” I knew “jircus” was coming but the delay and the way you slid it in so naturally made me laugh so hard I choked. Such a good one
the mere inclusion of Kermit fucking wrecked me
That dog being petted by Klumbo is a very happy doggo
The most dog of all time.
Dog is the best dog
"When it comes to dogs, this dog, he's the dog." -Klumbo
I know this is tres silly and is a _premium poop_ but I am so pleasantly distracted by the source material's cinematography - like this is genuinely gorgeous, there are so many low-aperture shots and the backgrounds all have this dreamy out-of-focus softness that make the actors really pop. This is one of the most charmingly, unexpectedly pretty poops I have ever seen - a quaint oddity. Love it
*poops unexpectedly*
"unexpectedly pretty poops" sure is a phrase
Holy crap that "fetch" transition went hard! Cinematic as hell, and hilarious to boot.
The baby shark took me off guard and now it's gonna be stuck in my head for 3 weeks
I feel like every single year Columbo is becoming more and more popular.
Peter Falk manifesting to star in another Christmas special

"Perhaps nothing nothing nothing."
You really made us wait for “jercus” but we all knew it was coming
I was liking what I was seeing and then Klumbo started petting a Bassett. Instant like.
Is that your favorite breed?
I need more Columbo YTPs in my life. There are so many good episodes.
this one really took home the Grand Dog
"You see the man? He's not a dog!"
Klumbo is truly the greatest detective of the 20th century
Between forgetting his lines and losing his props, it was so difficult seeing Peter Falk in the early stages of his dementia.
He didn’t even remember being that guy’s wife.
as soon as i read “Jerk Circus” i thought “please. please say Jircus.” i was not disappointed
The first rendition of Baby Shark caught me offguard. Then the "surface" toning sent me! You really are too good at this!
this is like one step removed from shakespeare dialogue
That’s a pretty good way to describe it, lol.
i thought that the Columbo craze was wrapping up...
but there was just One More (Da)Thing(s)
A baseball diamond, you say? Now that's impressive. Uh, what color did you say your hands were again, sir?
Klumbo's dog is indeed the best dog, single-handedly brought the video up to a rating of 10/10. Hope your other videos are going well. This comment has rambled enough already, I'll get out of your hair.
Oh, one more thing...
If the video is about Klumbo, the suspect, and Kermit, then why was Sonic late enough to miss the credits? Did he have to do some last-minute cleaning?
THIS IS HOW I LEARN PETER FALK MET KERMIT?!
1:37 Klumbo unintended ASMR.
cant believe i just got baby sharked
Don't tell the jury that he's painted 😱
Holy crap, dude... this is like the holy grail for me. A Columbo ytp, and with your editing? Oh, that is just a perfect combination. Also I never knew Peter Falk did a cameo in a Muppets movie, that's really something. Wonderful video, and amazing editing. Real fun, have a great day!
I love the dog part. He is a dooog!
I saw “Jircus” coming a mile away. Yay.
Between the first joke about it and the patreon credits roll, the baby shark stuff had no business breaking me like that hdsjgddjdhdkd
I was eagerly waiting for the Chalmers moment and i wasn't disappointed
HELL yeah, I see I'm not the only one suddenly getting old Columbo recs on RUclips. Loved watching this show with my mom as a kid.
The movement at 2:16 was magical
Hey did you know the guy who played Klumbo also played the grandfather in The Princess Book?
Comedy gold. Just as Columbo gets repeated on a UK tv channel on Sundays makes it even funnier as most episodes are fresh in my mind. Brilliant, Dectective Klumbo must be Columbos twin-the dialogue is pretty much the same as every episode.
Just one more DaThings.....
I can’t say I ever imagined there would be a ytp featuring remixed wordplay from Columbo and Sydney from The Pretender.
If there's a lieutenant, is there a _rightenant?_
First time I've seen Baby Shark in a youtube poop remix, amazing work.
"None."
"Nun?"
"A French monk."
Somehow THAT'S the part that took me out.
Closed caption YTP is awesome, fantastic work. [rustling] indeed.
I never expected I would see a YTP from Columbo, this is amazing. May I suggest Monk next?
Oh there's so much room for gag subversion and keyframing with all his hand gestures
0:32 "a duncle" lmao that's what I call my cat's father- his father is both his dad and uncle- hence, 'duncle'

I love that Columbo is seeing a resurgence lately. Just never thought it would pop up here of all places. Well fucking done 👏
This could be entirely dubbed by Gianni Matragrano and we’d never know.
Has anyone told him of this? I was sure l was gonna see him in the comments
I never expected "Xanadu" and "Baby Shark" to fit together so well, but who am I to question the methods of a genius?
Muppets (always funny), Journey (and the Jerk Circus, also funny), baby sharks (annoying imho), and a David McCallum (R.I.P.) reference ("The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", though I only knew him from "NCIS", a former favorite show of mine) - noice! Never watched "Columbo" though lol. 🤔
the painting on the wall at 4:21 was such a deep cut reference it kinda scared me 💀💀
You had a Steamed Hams in with the "May I see it" line. Shame it didn't come to fruitionnnnn.
oh my god?? one of my favourite shows and one of my favourite ytp creators together????
2:08 has the energy of "Never mind, Charlie."
Ellie , i honestly don't know how you managed to make consistently good YTPs for years and years.
You're the best!
I liked the video here! That ending YTPMV was extremely well done honestly. I wasn't expecting it and it just blew my expectations out of the water!
My brain, binge-watching: “Just one more DaThings…”
I could totally buy Columbo in the Chalmers role from Steamed Hams. Of course, he'd see through Seymour's lies easily but he wouldn't reveal that until the very end of the scene.
OMG, SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THAT!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, OH MY GOD!!! XD
"Oh, one more thing... You said earlier that "Steamed Hams" was an Albany phrase for hamburgers. Now that's a funny thing because those things weren't steamed at all, they were grilled, as you said... But if the hams were grilled... What was the steam coming out of your oven earlier?"
I was hoping for a "no, it's kissing again, you don't wanna hear that".
She can always use that in the sequel
If you want
My wife and I always refer to columbo as Klumbo 😂 unbelievable.
I just watched this episode last night and I just wanna say the sequence from 0:20-0:27 is just about word for word how it happened in the episode. They're just bantering back and forth on puzzles and uncles and I chortled out loud when I saw it happen. Great episode btw, I recommend it.
“they say it’s sludge” made me THROW my head back in laughter
Dathings has made a Columbo YTP and the world is a little brighter today
I hope they do get back to _The Man From U.N.C.L.E_
I thought they were going to watch “A Man From Uncle” together at one point! Great stuff.
Never saw the show but from what I've heard of it this video probably makes more sense than an actual episode.
Klunbi spends more time talking to strangers than I do my own family
3:38 lost opportunity to make another one of those "caplicators" jokes:
