I just ordered the Sterling ink b5 yesterday. Perfect timing. I love tomoe for fountain pen and stalogy for the grid size. I recently started scribing the Bible, so that a special thing that I wanted to use the Sterling for. It is more of an investment for a long project. But I do love my stalogy collection for everyday use. Honestly, I’m just a notebook addict. lol. Nice review on the differences.

Thank you! This is exactly the video that I was looking for. I use the Stalogy and wanted to see the grid size compared to the Sterling Ink planner. I definitely need the larger grid size. This was super helpful! 😊

I also purchased the B5 Stalogy. I use mine for work notes. I use my hobonichi tomoe river paper for my Journaling. I think both are good. But I wanted to save money on work items. Rachelle in Seattle

Thanks for tuning in, Rachelle! Yes, Stalogy is the more economical choice and the one I would choose if I was selecting a notebook for work. Enjoy!

Great video comparison! Sterling Ink and Tomoe River paper fan here. I can see uses for both. I do kinda wish that the B5 for SI had the 5 mm grid, but it's not a deal breaker. I have large handwriting, so I ended up using the height of two boxes for one line. The more economical Stalogy is still a great buy imho, especially if you're on more of a budget. I tend to use the Stalogy for lay out ideas and testing and the Sterling Ink Books for my "keeper books". Last year I was in the SI b6 for the full year of the planner. Just want to say, She chunked up quite lot ( I add a lot of stuff also) and I STILL prefer the gilded edge look on her. With my white page books, by the end of the year, the edges seem to look "dingy" but the gilded edge doesn't take that "dingy" look on, and even though it chunked up and the pages were a lot more separated by the end of year, you could still tell they were gilded. Will never go back to white edges for my "keeper" books again lol

So glad I found your channel. B5 is my favorite size and I've been wondering if I should go into a stalogy or a sterling ink next.

No pen test? I would have liked to see a comparison fountain pen test. Which has the worst ghosting?

Stalogy -- the only size that has 4 mm grid, (if memory serves) is A5. All other Stalogy sizes sport the 5 mm grid.
