Suggestion for sleeping in them. Get a hairnet to help keep it secure and then use either a silk bonnet or silk scarf to help prevent frizz. You look adorable.
I've done a similar thing for years. I buy 'bun makers' from Asian beauty sites which are essentially 2 'arms' covered in material that kind of pinch your hair as you roll it up. They're ridiculously cheap and I sleep in the 'bun'. In the morning my hair has soft curls that hold all day. Thanks for sharing 😊
It's a little funny that you were like, 'I don't like my 1960s flip in my hair"... then you ended up with a 1970s Farrah fawcett flip blowout instead... Just jumping a decade up 😜. I just bought a thing called the cozy curlers that would do something similar to this (meant to sleep in). I haven't tried them out yet but I'm hopeful that they'll be awesome. Another RUclipsr, Rachel maskey has used them and recommended them before.
Ohhh this is a gamechanger! I also have fine, flat hair with ends that never quite go the direction I want them to, but I also do not have the patience to deal with rollers or heat styling most of the time. But this... this I think I could do, if I can figure out the sleeping situation :D
First of all: Yay! Hair Tutorial Loepsie is back! I used to have long thick full wavy hair all of my life but lost about 2 thirds of it some time ago. I will definitely try this method since my hair is a lot shorter because of the loss now as well. This gives me hope at least 😊 because this method could be a lifesaver for me as well. And don't mind the focus. This beautiful wall needs to be shown. 😁
You're hair looks great, Lucy! It's so awesome to see you excited about fixing your hair again! I know it pained you to lose your length, but your hair is looking so healthy! Sorry for the book. 😂❤❤
So pretty! ❤ I have your same hair type, but very long. I have found that if I use a heatless method on damp hair in the morning, it’s set in an hour or two. You shouldn’t need to sleep on it if you have some time in the morning. Worth a try! 😃
I feel like I’d have no problem sleeping in this style! Maybe because I’m a side sleeper because I have tried styles that end up being more like space buns and very hard to sleep with. These would be perfect 🤩
I have essentially the same hair as you Lucy and this looks great! I love how quick it is and as a side sleeper I'm not concerned about that roll at the nape at all! I'm going to try it with my Rockin' Rollers (which are long like flexirods but made of a pillow material) so if that works it will be much more comfortable as well. I think this style could look GREAT in a headscarf as well if you had matching or unobtrusive socks or manipulated the hair so no sock showed. If the front piece was positioned lower on the forehead it would just look like a scarf and bumper bang look, amazing!
Impressive! When my hair grows back from my short cut, I will definitely try thus. Your hair looks so bouncy, shiny, and STYLED just by this roll up. ✨️
Your hair looks great ❤️ This has to be the easiest overnight curl method, at least from the look of it. I might actually give it a try, hope it'll work, my hair is a little shorter than yours
A 60s or 70s (maybe 80s) wet set would work really well on both your length and cut and are quite easy to find on Pinterest. If I had your length I would also try something thirties but it might be too long already
It looks great! I'll definitely have to give this a try. When you first took it out it gave me Valerie Bertinelli vibes from back in the 80's. Super cute.
Oh I did this with my old rollers. Yes it works and as I had your length hair and now quite a bit longer, I use a silk bonnet to sleep in. Silk is good for hair and keeps everything inside during the night. I'd like to know if you will continue this method.
I do this with those old school “hot buns” and it turns out very nice, but my hair does not hold any type of curl very long so I use mousse and setting lotion the spray it with hairspray. I do sleep in it with a silk bonnet over it. I’m a side sleeper and it’s not comfy, but I can still sleep
I tried it and it was actually fine! I'm a side/belly sleeper so I don't usually lay on the back of my head anyway. I tied a scarf around the lower roll with the knot on my forehead below the top roll and made it through the night just fine 😁
Amazing!!! I have curly hair but ill try damp! The volume is everything!! Thanks for sharing!!! My hair is dry as hell from blowdrying so this is a must!!!
Omg! You look like a cartoon character, and I mean that in the best way possible hahaha! I think it means you look exactly the way you are supposed to look. This hairstyle suits you so well
Maybe if you use dish sponges in the inside of the sock it would be more comfortable to sleep in. If you use a long sock / stocking you maybe can tie it in place.
Try large rollers next time. You might like it. Curling the bangs was nice to give it some movement, maybe you feel this way because you have short bangs. Love the 70's result you got from it. Enjoy playing with it.
Kinda cool that you got shorter hair now (same length as I with bangs to) cause I watch your channel for years and now I can also try out your tutorials on my shorter hair ❤😊 Gotta ask if you could do a medieval hairstyle for shorter hair? In a month there is a medieval fest that I'll go to (of course in costume) but I kinda get sad cause my hair is short and I dunno what hairstyle to do?
Omg i saw a video of you when i was like 17 or 18 or something.. but i was needing long hair curls or waves...now i have 29!!!!!!! And i was looking for the same thing but short hair and you again!!!! Hahahahaja thank u! i felt young again for a seg ahahhaa
We've found the original!
The video I saw was by @YesHipolito 😁
Ik vond je pony leuk. Ik dacht dat ze er schattig uitzagen, opzij geschoven. Ik ben Duits dus ik hoop dat mijn Nederlands goed vertaalt
THIS IS IT, that’s the look, it’s perfect
😍

Great idea

What are these Asian beauty sites? I need to know
Can you please tell how those are called? Please I can't find them
Thank you!! I have it and didn't think to use them! Thank you thank you
Can you pls share the site and item pls
Omg excellent idea! Thanks for sharing!
As another flat/fine haired gal - I am sooooo excited by your excitement. I have to try this!
It's a little funny that you were like, 'I don't like my 1960s flip in my hair"... then you ended up with a 1970s Farrah fawcett flip blowout instead... Just jumping a decade up 😜.

Ok so I’ve been following you since your sock bun days. You using a sock in your hair again just brought this full circle!
Ohhh this is a gamechanger! I also have fine, flat hair with ends that never quite go the direction I want them to, but I also do not have the patience to deal with rollers or heat styling most of the time. But this... this I think I could do, if I can figure out the sleeping situation :D
So cute! For the bottom-most sock roller, I bet if you remove a flexirod or two, you'll more comfortably be able to fit all your hair :)

Really suits you and I prefer it with the bangs integrated so you have a centre part. Looks so good, so fresh and stylish!
I love a good Lucy hair video! It makes me feel so nostalgic! 🥰

Your hair is so gorgeous Lucy you can do anything with it.
Your hair looks great ❤️

The way it made the bangs swoop to the side looks soooo good!
I wish my hair looked like that, but i’m too lazy.
Your hair looks wonderful! Definitely a technique to try.
Loepsie hair videos are my faves!! Fun to watch you try that. It looks cool!
Omg ive been looking for something like this forever but all of then had side bangs and not actual bagns. Im trying this! Thank you love!!!
A 60s or 70s (maybe 80s) wet set would work really well on both your length and cut and are quite easy to find on Pinterest. If I had your length I would also try something thirties but it might be too long already
Wow that's exactly what I was looking for, you literally read my mind what a queen you are! Thank you queen! 👸
It looks great! I'll definitely have to give this a try. When you first took it out it gave me Valerie Bertinelli vibes from back in the 80's. Super cute.
This hairstyle looks lovely. I'm a big fan of heatless styling.
Your hair looks amazing.
What setting spray and sea-salt spray did you use?
Oh I did this with my old rollers. Yes it works and as I had your length hair and now quite a bit longer, I use a silk bonnet to sleep in. Silk is good for hair and keeps everything inside during the night. I'd like to know if you will continue this method.
this looks GORGEOUS!!!! holy moly it suits you perfectly!!!!
Oh i love it!! I have also seen her use a massive curl iron and curl in the ends then put the sock
This turned out so full and lovely!
Good idea to do the back opposite for rounded bottoms. I am glad I watched this video. I am running to my bathroom now to do this.
That looked absolutely amazing !😍 I definitely want to try this technique sometime too
nice! its been a while since weve lst seen a hair video! ive always been curios about these but am hesitent to try these on my waist length hair
I have seen people get amazing results with this technique with really long hair, I am sure it takes a little practice but it’s worth the trouble!!
I'm fairly sure I've only ever seen this done on long hair, try it it's going to be gorgeous!
W petite facial features, you can have that forward founded hairstyle. Looks great.
Perfect timing. I just washed my hair and wanted to try this method for the first time today and was looking for a tutorial.
Aw, that turned out so cute!!
Your hair looks amazing!
OMGMGMGMMGMG THAT LOOKS SUPER FABULOUS AND ACTUALLY SUITS YOU SO GOODODDD !!! You look BEAUTIFUL!!! 🌸✨
What’s the setting lotion you used please? It looks awesome!
Great idea!! Looks like it has so much volume.
Oh my goodness ur hair looks really good Lucy , I'm glad this worked for u ❤❤❤
WOW, that looks incredible!!
Your hair looks fabulous! What a great method!
I hope you'll do a little update later after you figure out a sleeping situation.
I tried it and it was actually fine! I'm a side/belly sleeper so I don't usually lay on the back of my head anyway. I tied a scarf around the lower roll with the knot on my forehead below the top roll and made it through the night just fine 😁
You look so gorgeous! I love your hair❣
Exp-hair-iment 😂
I apologize I could not stop saying this in my head while watching. Turned out beautifully though 😍
Amazing!!! I have curly hair but ill try damp! The volume is everything!! Thanks for sharing!!! My hair is dry as hell from blowdrying so this is a must!!!
love when you do your hair in vids!!
I'm going to have to try this! My hair is very thin and fine, and it will not hold a traditional curl, even with hairspray. This could be a solution.
Omg! You look like a cartoon character, and I mean that in the best way possible hahaha! I think it means you look exactly the way you are supposed to look. This hairstyle suits you so well
when you still had them on you reminded me of the wife in 'meet the robinsons'! Such a cute style tbh.
Please tell us what setting spray you used. Thank you!
We have the same haircut I can't wait to try this!✨
This was awesome!! I love your hair videos
I love that you showed 2 hours later.
I love the 90 hairstyling vibes
Betty Boop look in the curlers! You make a really cute Betty Boop!
Your hair turned out so gorgeous! I'm definitely trying this, you gave me hope for my hair. Also where did you get that mug, I love it so much.
Your hair looks amazing! Just fabulous. Do you color you hair at all? If so, what do you use? How do you keep your hair looking so incredibly healthy?
You have short hair so I’m not sure what you thought would happen! It looks amazing!!!!!
That's what we call big Texas hair!! love it
OMG! That's gorgeous!
Yay!!! I love your hair videos! ❤️
Maybe if you use dish sponges in the inside of the sock it would be more comfortable to sleep in. If you use a long sock / stocking you maybe can tie it in place.
What size (diameter) are the flexi rods? Your result looks amazing 😘
I have layered shoulder length hair but mine doesn’t like to stay. They just fall out. Any advice on getting them to stay?
Whats your setting spray? Did you buy it or make it yourself?
what were the products you used before you put it up? Btw your hair is SO healthy looking and pretty!
Try large rollers next time. You might like it. Curling the bangs was nice to give it some movement, maybe you feel this way because you have short bangs. Love the 70's result you got from it. Enjoy playing with it.

Your hair is beautiful! Fun video! I love your black chair in the background, where did you get it or is it a one of a kind? 😊
Thank you! The chair is from Ikea 😊
Does anyone know what setting lotion spray she is useing?
I like this, great tip! I have baby fine long hair, so I will give it a try. 😇
Oh wow your hair looks gorgeous!! I wonder how well this would last in my heavy ass hair. Thanks for the video (:
Looks good, women were doing that back in the 50s
I wonder if sleep (or securing) would work better with three sections as opposed to only tow?
This 1950" fringe" looks good on you
I did this the night before a wedding this weekend. Didnt work AT ALL for me. My hair looked shite the whole day 😢😂
was your hair styled before putting it into flexi rod like because I have heard that this does not gives result if your hair is not blow-dried?
Your hair looks amazing!! What setting lotion do you use?
Can you please please link the setting lotion you used? I have a similar hair type and am hoping it would work for me!
Omg i saw a video of you when i was like 17 or 18 or something.. but i was needing long hair curls or waves...now i have 29!!!!!!! And i was looking for the same thing but short hair and you again!!!! Hahahahaja thank u! i felt young again for a seg ahahhaa
You should do another video using her hair product she made and compare your results to the socks 😁
Можно использовать просто одну заколку твистер( которая в чехле из мягкой ткани), на макушке. И спать комфортно и волосы накручиваются.
Watching this RIGHT after your faux bob tutorial where you said you'd never cut your hair like that 😅
What setting spray did you use- it would be great if you would list it for us without us having to ask..thanks
I LOVE IT
Jessica Beauty Fix Rn is the video. And you only need 2 flexi rods.
Beats the heck out of spending $$$$$ and time with dyson airwrap! And I'd say with better results ! bravissimo!
Isn't setting spray the same thing as hair spray?
No. Setting spray is very different than hair spray.
@@wearelegion1163 How so? Everything I read says it just gives hair a shine which hairspray doesn't.
Now I want to try this, too!
Looks great!
If I don’t have flexirolls…could I stuff the socks with something else? For example newspaper?
You could, but you'd need to secure the hair somehow. The flexi rods hold in place on their own which is their advantage
@@Loepsie I‘m going to experiment 😋
That comb sound is giving me an itch. Does it hurt ?
can u tell us what setting lotion/spray u used .
Your hair looks so much like mine in this it's uncanny! My hair isn't brown and is a bit more wavy, but yeah. Twins!
