I am in love with this French twist technique! It's something I used to do all the time, besides French braids, that would give me messy yet cute waves. I found this video several months ago and it has been my go-to method ever since! My hair is straight and flat, and this method makes it have so much volume and curls. I've tried so many other methods, like braids (that left my hair in zigzags rather than curls), mini buns (that stayed wet all night), and rollers (that were so uncomfortable to sleep in and fell out while I was asleep). Your method is the only one that really works for me. I wear a silk scarf over it so it won't come out while I sleep, since I move a lot while sleeping lol. I've been doing this method so often that it takes me less than 5 minutes to do it. Thank you so much for this video!!!

If you don't want to do the buns, you can do rope braids at the bottom if your hair is long enough.That's what I do since I can't sleep with buns in

It will! But, depending on how thick your hair is it may weigh down the waves but give it a try!

If your hair is long, thick, or coarse do more smaller sections but it does work! I used to do it when my hair was down to my butt.

ima try this bc I've had short hair (collarbone length or a bit shorter) for a bit over a year now and I haven't found a good way to get heatless waves.
The first time I did it, it turned out pretty well. It wasn't too curly, more like loose waves. I didn't twist it too hard, if that makes sense, and I didn't keep it in for very long either.
The second time, I think I put it on overnight and I made the twists pretty hard so they came out overly curly, too high on my head. I looked like a clown.
So I'd do it again but definitely wouldn't twist it hard or too high on my head because it looks unnatural LOL. Maybe try it on a day where you aren't going to school/work just in case.

Literally everyone who has hair that's shorter than the collarbone but not shorter than the shoulders defines it as "short." But yeah I know it's technically not. Everyone describes my hair as just short so I'm used to saying that.

This works for long hair too if you continue to twist the rest of your hair down. It looks beautiful with long or short hair :) My hair used to be down to my mid back but I cut my hair short today so I guess i'll get to see what it looks like with shorter hair.
