The sound you're hearing (in the first 30 seconds) is also being played by a *hermit thrush* (possibly one of the most beautiful sounds in all of nature)
Moro no Brasil, fui saber que existia a Harpa eólica, no livro que leio todos os dias, manancias no deserto e me tou muito, saber que os ventos tocando na Harpa eólica, são vozes de anjos louvando através dos ventos.Incrivel pra mim.
It is. The "Aeolian Harp" etude reflects the slow harmonic changes of an aeolian harp accompanied by rapid arpeggios making it a rather challenging piece.
That depends on the strings (length, tension, mass, ...) but from what I've modelled, I can usually get a sound from about 1.5 - 2 m/s (3.5 - 4.5 mph). Harps and models can be quite unique though.
Would be cool if someone wrote a piano piece based off this harp
@@dougbowman i think he was joking
Ummm who’s gonna tell him?
@@dougbowman bruh it’s obvious lmao
I think it was just a coincidence, Aeolian was referring to major scale and harp was referring to the arpeggios
@@bappy316Yeah, Chopin didn't name the Etudes himself, but it's still cool to see how people interpret such pieces with unique names. :)
I love the scene where the bridge was falling as the Aeolian harp played... it invokes an eerie destruction.
Yeah, that was bizarre!
An Aeolian Harp for the backyard is going to be my summer project this year.
Thanks for sharing your video..
Where do you start? Learn how to make it? I would love to do the same :)
I’m reading about Shelley’s “A Defense of Poetry” in which he writes about the Aeolian harp. Thanks for this video.
Я читаю роман-биографию Г.Х.Андерсена ""Сказка мое й жизни" . Автор тоже упоминает об Эоловой арфе.
Now imagine what it would sound like if a storm hit.
Nuffink.
The harps only work with a steady light wind. In a storm, they will sit there with their arms folded, saying "so what".
THX Intro: you dare oppose me mortal
So beautifully intense 😍 😳 ❤
An Aeonlian harp was used in the beginning of the film "The Exorcist".
Sounds like Saturn’s rings!! Especially at the end.
Still hoping to get that grant to turn the entire city of Chicago into an aeolean harp.
Would be cool to make one where different chords played as the wind came from different directions.

My favorite bird! It’s crazy how they seem to sing in two voices at the same time!
風だけで…すごい綺麗
Now this isn't the Aeolian Harp I was thinking of but sure. Think I'll go back to chopin
LOL

Damn that’s trippy
love it!!! hypnotic
Enter the space man..... 🚀 and float. Truly hypnotic. 😑
Got here because Aeolian harps are mentioned in the begginning chapters of "Lolita"! Wonderful instrument🌟🌟
1:51 Nightmare fuel.
I physically react when I hear this (have to close my eyes).
Apparently it was also used to talk to Aeolis, God of Winds, that's how I actually found out about it, curiosity of Aeolis
Silent hill nacional instrument.
If objects had sound, stunning.
Sound is energy.

The sound scared me man
Wow!💓
Gostaria de aprender a fazer corretamente, Harpa eólica para presentear as pessoas.
Is it too much of a stretch to say Patrick Rothfuss got some inspiration from this?
Nice video edit
POV you're a scottish copra trader and you hear this in the forest
Call me ignorsnt but I only knew this existed until I read the first few pages of Lolita
Until you read the first few pages? And then you suddenly forgot? Get help.
This is not what I wanted
Schumann talking crap
I had the same idea now... ahah
Was the model created in pure data?
🙏☀️🌱
I wonder if the sounds have healing properties?
I thought this is Chopin piece

Please go to the subject of aolian harp.
how fast should the wind travel for for the harp to function?

I find them annoying.
Why the negativity
I agree. Nothing pleasant about it.
Interesting but not fun to listen to for very long
I think I'd prefer a more bass sound. But, unless the wind is constantly blowing at just the right strength, the harp is silent.
Siniestro.
